Abstract: Long Bean Leaves, Haemoglobin, Pregnancy Second Trimester. Anemia in pregnancy is called the 'potencial danger of mother and child' because anemia is a serious problem and need attention from all parties involved in maternal and child health services. WHO reported that the prevalence of anemia in pregnancy in the world amounted to 55% and tended to increase with increasing gestational age. To determine the effect of bean leaf consumption to increased hemoglobin levels of second trimester- pregnant women with anemia in Puskesmas Polanharjo working area. This research was Quasy experiment with a pretest posttest control group design. This research used a treatment group is the group of second trimester-pregnant women with anemia has given long bean leaves consumption as many as 15 respondents and the control group is the group of pregnant women with anemia second trimester without additional Fe tablet intake as many as 15 respondents. There is a difference between the average of hemoglobin levels before the intervention group consumed long beans leaves with an average of hemoglobin levels in the intervention group after consuming long beans leaves. By eating 350 grams of long beans leaves for one month (28 days) may help prevent anemia in pregnant women.

Introduction: Anemia is a biggest health in the world. According to WHO the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women was 41,8%. Based on the results of Riskesdas that the proportion of anemia in pregnant women in 2013 was 37,1% and in 2018 of 48,9%. To prevent anemia, pregnant women are expected to get at least 90 iron tablets during pregnancy and consume iron-rich foods. Avocados have the nutrients of vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, iron, folic acid, potassium, calories and fat. Iron in avocados is useful for the formation of red blood cells, preventing and treating anemia. Vitamin C helps to absorb iron and calcium Methods: This study aims to determine the effect of Fe + avocado juice (Persea Americana Mill) to haemoglobin levels of second trimester pregnant women in Suryani independent clinic of Medan Johor sub district in 2019. This type of research was Quasi Experiment with Pre Test and Post Test With Control Group Design. The population of this research was all 42 pregnant women with 30 purposive sampling techniques. Results and Discussion: Based on the collection and analysis of data with an average result of haemoglobin in second trimester pregnant women increased by 0,87 gr/dl in the intervention group and 0,8 gr/dl in the control group. There are significant differences between before and after treartment in the intervention group and the control group. In the intervention group and the control group before the treatment there can be no difference which means the data is homogeneous and after the treatment there can be no significant difference which means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Conclusion: Pregnant women who have Hb levels below normal may be given Fe tablets alone or can be combined to consume avocado juice.

Background:Pregnant women with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are at high risk of preeclampsia, leading to substantial maternal and fetal morbidity. Aspirin reduces preeclampsia risk but recent studies suggest aspirin is used only in a minority of SLE pregnancies. There is an urgent need to improve preeclampsia counselling and management in this vulnerable population. Objectives:We are conducting the PREPARE (PREeclamPsia knowledge & Aspirin adheRence in lupus prEgnancies) trial, a randomized controlled trial (RCT) evaluating an educational tool on preeclampsia knowledge and aspirin adherence among pregnant women with SLE. We present preliminary analyses of the effect of this tool on preeclampsia knowledge. Methods:Consecutive pregnant SLE women are recruited until the 16th gestational week at 5Canadian Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics centres (i.e. Montreal, Halifax, Quebec, Winnipeg, and Calgary) since 05/2018. Subjects are randomly assigned to receive either the specifically-designed educational tool (intervention group) or standard of care (control group). At baseline (i.e. first trimester) and second trimester visits, the participants complete self-administered preeclampsia knowledge questionnaires (scored out of 30 by the research team blinded to the intervention). We restricted the current analysis to participants enrolled in Montreal (accounting for nearly half of the total planned sample size). We performed a univariate linear regression analysis to assess the effect of the educational tool on preeclampsia knowledge (i.e. mean score difference between the two groups from baseline to second trimester visit).Results:Thirty-three pregnant SLE women were included in the study, among which 16 were exposed to the intervention and 17 were unexposed. Baseline characteristics were well balanced between the two groups with similar mean maternal age between intervention group (32.2 years, standard deviation, SD, 4.6) and control group (34.1 years, SD 4.2) and identical proportion of subjects with post-secondary education (i.e. 80%). The difference in mean preeclampsia knowledge scores between second trimester and baseline visits in the intervention group was 4.4 points (95% CI -0.1, 9.0) and in the control group was 1.5 points (95% CI -2.7, 5.7). The mean difference in knowledge scores (from baseline to second trimester) for those receiving the educational tool was 2.7 points higher (95% CI -1.5, 6.9) than those receiving standard of care. Conclusion:Approximately midway into the PREPARE trial, we observed a trend for improvement in preeclampsia knowledge from the baseline to the second trimester visit in pregnant women with SLE who received a specifically-designed educational tool compared to the control group, although the CIs included the null. Our RCT is well-poised to provide a new evidence-based approach to improve preeclampsia knowledge in pregnant women with SLE, which could help to optimize aspirin use and outcomes in this vulnerable population.References:[1]Schramm AM, Clowse ME. Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) as an indicator of maternal health during pregnancy, childbirth, and childbirth. Anemia contributes 20% to the incidence of maternal deaths caused by bleeding during labor. The government prevents anemia by giving iron tablets at least 90 tablets for pregnant women. However, the prevalence of anemia remains high, because of the low adherence in consuming Fe tablets every day. Self-efficacy adherence is a predictor of health behavior and adherence to treatment. Objective: To improve adherence with self-efficacy in consuming Fe tablets in pregnant women with health promotion and WhatsApp reminder in Yogyakarta City Health Center.Method: This study used a quasi-experiment method with a pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. The sample amounted to 59, the sampling technique used was consecutive sampling which was taken by random sampling technique in which samples were taken alternately to determine the intervention group and the control group. Results: There were significant differences in the self efficacy score between the intervention groups (Mean = 6.30, SD = 8.11) and the control group (Mean = 0.89, SD = 7.83) with t-test = 2.60 and ρ = 0.012.Conclusion: There is a significant difference in self-efficacy adherence with consuming Fe tablets in pregnant women before and after being given health promotion and WhatsApp reminder intervention and control groups. Health service agencies can consider the combined service between health promotion and WhatsApp reminder to improve self-efficacy in adhering to consuming Fe tablets in increasing Hb levels in anemic pregnant women.
