The No Mobile Phone Phobia or Nomophobia notion is referred to the psychological condition once humans have a fear of being disconnected from mobile phone connectivity. Hence, it is considered as a recent age phobia that emerged nowadays as a consequence of high engagement between people, mobile data, and communication inventions, especially the smart phones. This review is based on earlier observations and current debate such as commonly used techniques that modeling and analyzing this phenomenon like statistical studies. All that in order to possess preferable comprehension concerning human reactions to the speedy technological ubiquitous. Accordingly, humans ought to restrict their utilization of mobile phones instead of prohibiting it, due to the fact that they could not evade the power of technological progression. In that matter, future perspectives would be employing data mining techniques to explore deep knowledge, which represents correlated relationship between the human and the mobile phone.

BACKGROUND Smart phones containing medical related apps have been applied to medical practice and proved to be helpful by previous studies. However, no attention has been paid to the use of mobile phone and medical related apps among foreign medical students(FMSs) in China. OBJECTIVE The objective of the study was to investigate the utilization of mobile phones with medical apps among FMSs in WMU. METHODS A survey of FMSs was conducted in Wenzhou Medical University (WMU). Data from questionnaire include the major obstacles FMSs face in China; the acceptance and preference of medical related apps in FMSs; the patterns of medical related app usage within FMSs. RESULTS This study included ninety-three FMSs, all of whom owned at least one mobile phone. Most owners had more than one medical related app. No difference on gender or operating system was found in utilization of apps. 55% of FMSs reported using medical related apps on a daily basis, among which, 65% of them spent more than 20 minutes on medical related apps everyday. CONCLUSIONS Mobile phones were highly applied among FMSs in WMU. With more effort in app designing, smart phones could be a possible solution for necessary aid in learning medicine overseas.

There is more than one mobile-phone subscription per member of the Australian population. The number of complaints against the mobile-phone-service providers is also high. Therefore, the mobile service providers are facing a huge challenge in retaining their customers. There are a number of existing models to analyse customer behaviour and switching patterns. A number of switching models may also exist within a large market. These models are often not useful due to the heterogeneous nature of the market. Therefore, in this study we use data mining techniques to let the data talk to help us discover switching patterns without requiring us to use any models and domain knowledge. We use a variety of decision tree and decision forest techniques on a real mobile-phone-usage dataset in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of data mining techniques in knowledge discovery. We report many interesting patterns, and discuss them from a brand-switching and marketing perspective, through which they are found to be very sensible and interesting.

This interdisciplinary study is concerned with testing the effectiveness of Modernization Theory in explaining regime change by means of data mining techniques. Modernization Theory, which links democratization with economic development (improvements in income, urbanization, industrialization, education and communication levels), has been criticized widely. Many criticisms posited that there is not a significant relation between economic development and democratization. This study is an attempt to test whether the theory has improved its effectiveness with the advent of the Internet and mobile phone technologies. To this end, first, the variables are introduced. Then, the study makes an analysis by using data mining techniques. It first tests the correlation between democratization and improvements in income, education, urbanization and communication levels within the period between 1976 and 1995. Then it adds the new variables, the Internet and mobile phone usage, and tests the correlation between democratization and this new range of variables for 1996-2015 period. In the conclusion, the study evaluates whether the effectiveness of Modernization Theory is improved when the Internet and mobile phone usage are added as the new variables. It is found that there is not a strong relation between income per capita and democratization as some critics of the Modernization Theory suggest, but other factors emphasized by this theory like improvements in education and communication have a more decisive effect. Moreover, among our new variables, Internet usage proved to be a really important variable conducive to democratization according to test results.

In this regard, the authors discuss mobile phone forensic analysis, what it means, who avails of it and the software tools used.

When product functions and qualities are similar across products, customers make their purchasing decision upon aesthetic form. Form presents a significant competitive factor that improves the value of a product. Overall, the purpose of this study is to examine the most important product design factors that affect the market share trends in products. As a case study we center our analyses on mobile phones. Study uses product characteristics for 1,028 mobile phones released between 2003 and 2008 as a case study. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to mine the date to find highly correlated variables that influence the market share, and Mallow’s Cp method is used to determine the best-fitting model. The Partial Regression Coefficients are used to evaluate the relative importance of design criteria. The nine mobile phone design features that affect the market share were identified, and the block form style is determined as the most important design factor. Then, the results of our historical data mining are compared to a future oriented approach (survey analysis using Nominal Logistic Regression). We discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these approaches, and provide inferences about how investments should be directed in future mobile phone designs.

<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> With the advent of new smart phones every day, health hazard related to it is also increasing. The usage of mobile phones has become a domineering activity of the students. Such usage have been documented to cause many health hazards like hearing loss, the mobile phone electromagnetic radiation has other potential risks like vehicular accidents, headache, and sleep disturbances, thermal effects and alteration of blood brain barrier. The objective of the study was to assess the hearing loss with pure tone audiometry due to chronic mobile phone usage among medical college students in a tertiary care hospital.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Methods:</strong> This was a cross sectional study conducted among the medical students from June 2018 to December 2018, with the sample size of 129. The participants were interviewed using pretested, validated questionnaire followed the participants were subjected to pure tone audiometry.  </p><p class="abstract"><strong>Results:</strong> Among the 129 participants, the majority of the study participants (58.1%) were females. The median age of the participants was 20 and almost 42.7% of the participants used in ear media while using the phone. 10.9% and 19.4% showed symptoms of tinnitus and hard of hearing respectively. On testing the participants with pure tone audiometry, around 9.3% had mild hearing loss and 3.9% had moderate hearing loss.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Conclusions:</strong> The health hazard caused by the mobile phone usage may not be evident for many years. The students are exposed to smart phones frequently and hence periodic screening and health education regarding the harm of using mobile phones for longer duration should be made imperative.</p>

As the increase use of smart phones protecting the smart phones from intruders is the challenging part. In this paper we are came up with application that is used to find the lost device by SMS command. The Mobile Anti-Theft is made for the benefits of the people for finding their device when lost using SMS commands. This project is able to locate the lost device and able to send the current location of device to the user. Using this application we can find the lost mobile phones without paying for any service in a cost efficient manner. It can also able to take the picture of the culprit who stole the mobile phone using both front and rear cameras.
