In the article, the author considers the main aspects of the impact of goodwill on the financial stability of banks. It is substantiated that among the numerous threats that lead to financially unstable development of the banking business, a special place should be given to the support of banks’ business reputation. The main reasons are the phenomena of financial instability caused not only by the cyclical development of the economy, but also the ability to take into account a certain state in which the financial system is able to: effectively allocate resources, assess and manage financial risks, absorb shocks. It is proved that the relationship between business reputation and financial stability is determined by the characteristics of the conceptual apparatus; the system of risks to which they are exposed in the course of their activities; methodical approaches to assessing their level. The author concludes that the key challenges for the banking business in the context of digital transformation should be considered from the standpoint of customer interests, from the standpoint of investors (owners) of the banking business and from the standpoint of the regulator. In today’s realities, when the systemic banking crisis has imposed on a large-scale economic, the decisive factor for success and continued activity in the market is the quality of business reputation. The methods of quantitative assessment of the bank’s business reputation include balance-normative, methods of additional and excess profits, methods of royalties and residual value, the method of rating and comprehensive assessment. It is proved that the level of business reputation is related to the life cycle of banks, which includes the stages of formation, growth, maturity and decline. Measures to ensure business reputation depending on the stage of development of the bank are considered. Both the business reputation and financial stability are affected by the established image of the bank. The article states that a positive image is able to maintain the bank in times of financial instability. It is determined that depending on the group of users (non-financial corporations, households, government agencies or social organizations) the image of the bank should be different and meet all requirements. It is determined that a modern bank is not only an institution of the financial market, but also a financial institution for which social role and reputation in social and economic relations become the primary criteria for ensuring their competitive position.

<p>Monetary transactions are no longer limited to traditional patterns as electronic systems using internet technology can facilitate whenever and wherever transactions without any face-to-face interaction.  In terms of payment methods, this technology is developing and known as digital currency. Bitcoin is the digital currency with the largest market value. It is an electronic payment system based on a mathematical systems. The idea is to produce an independent currency that is not tied to a particular central authority and has very low transaction costs. Digital currency uses the concept of cryptography to provide basic security functions, such as ensuring that Bitcoin can only be spent by those who have it and it cannot be duplicated. The emergence of this currency has caused controversy in many countries because of its unregulated nature. This study examines Bitcoin and whether it is categorized as money based on the concept of money and how the three main international monetary institutions (IMF, WTO, World Bank) respond to its presence with a basic analysis using the concept of cyberpolitics. This study concludes that Bitcoin has not fully met the criteria as a currency and there are no specific rules yet regarding the existence of digital currency.

Given the ongoing epidemic coupled with low acceptance of electronic payment system, such could affect individual behavior. It is through the identification of this factors that affect individual behavior that aide toward overcoming the present challenges faced in influencing individual participation in electronic payment system. The main aim of this study is to propose a conceptual framework on the term of improving the adoption of electronic payment system. Through the incorporation of grounding theory of unified theory of acceptance model and health benefit model from both quantitative and qualitative studies, we select three influencing variables perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived health risk which affect electronic payment adoption. This paper further explores the impact of identified variables perceived susceptibility, perceived severity the role of perceived health risk as mediator. Finally, this paper finalized a conceptual model after exploring previous studies and propose an empirical investigation for validation in future for researchers and practitioners.

AbstractThe aim of the paper is to analyse the effects of economic immigration on subnational government finance (SNG) in Poland. The goal to achieve is to answer the following research question: what are the fiscal effects of immigration on SNG budget revenues and expenditures. To answer this question, logarithmic models were developed. The analysis refers to the years 2007-2016. In this respect, data from Statistics Poland - referring to budget revenues and expenditures of communes, cities of district status, districts and voivodeships - were used. As far as immigration statistics are concerned, data from the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy were used. The results indicate an increase in both revenues and expenditures of SNG as a result of immigration. Such results can be explained inter alia by the nature of migration - research were focused on economic immigration. Results confirm that the level of employment of foreigners is one of the determinants shaping the fiscal effect of immigration. Moreover, the impact of economic immigration on SNG budget revenues and expenditures depends on the structure of this budget. This explains the differentiated results of the analysis of the impact of immigration on SNG in different countries. The positive correlation between immigration and SNG revenues in Poland can be associated with a high share of subnational governments in personal income tax revenues as this tax is one of the main categories of SNG revenues. Furthermore, results show that the impact of immigration on local government budgets in Poland is modest. This confirms the conclusions drawn by other authors (e.g. Auerbach and Oreopoulos), that in the long term, immigration cannot be considered as a potential instrument for resolving fiscal imbalances.
