El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo identificar los niveles de accidentabilidad y riesgos laborales del personal que opera con equipos vacuums, que constituyen camiones de vacío para succión, transporte y evacuación de fluidos, en la empresa de servicios petroleros Conexpet Cía. Ltda. El estudio de caso es descriptivo, con investigación de campo efectuada a 89 operadores, apoyado en revisión bibliográfica-documental, indagando especificar propiedades y características de las personas en su desempeño laboral. La evaluación dio como resultado un déficit en la selección, capacitación y entrenamiento del talento humano, permitiendo luego de la valoración, implementar competencias asociadas a riesgos laborales. Se concluye que existe una relación directa entre el nivel de accidentabilidad y los riesgos laborales, debido a que un 85% de los accidentes laborales presentados en la empresa, son producidos por acciones subestándar. Las estrategias y competencias propuestas pueden replicarse, obteniendo entre otras ventajas: reducción de tiempo perdido, menor costo de mano de obra para reemplazos, baja rotación de personal, mayor productividad y competitividad.Palabras clave: Riesgos laborales, Vacuums, Accidentabilidad, Talento Humano, Competencias Laborales.   AbstractThe objective of this study was to identify the levels of accidents and occupational risks of personnel working with vacuum equipment, which constitute vacuum trucks for suction, transport and fluid evacuation, at the oil services company Conexpet Cía. Ltda. The case study is descriptive, with field research carried out on 89 operators, supported by bibliographic-documental review, asking to specify properties and characteristics of people in their work performance. The evaluation resulted in a deficit in the selection, training and training of human talent, allowing after assessment, implement skills associated with occupational risks. It is concluded that there is a direct relationship between the level of accident rate and occupational risks, because 85% of work accidents presented in the company are produced by substandard actions. The proposed strategies and competences can be replicated, obtaining among other advantages: reduction of lost time, lower cost of labor for replacements, low turnover of personnel, greater productivity and competitiveness. The objective of this study is analyzed the impact of organizational culture, training, and leadership on the work performance of civil workers in financial and development supervisory agency. This research uses an associative approach with simple random sampling technique which is measured by SEM using the Smart PLS 3.0 application. The population of this study was 330 civil workers in Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). The results of the study shown that the Organizational Culture Variables did not significantly influence work Performance of the civil worker in Financial and Development Supervisory Agency, but do not pass the reliability test. Training Variables have a positive and significant effect on the work performance of the civil workers. Leadership variables have a positive and significant effect on the work performance of the civil workers in Financial and Development Supervisory Agency.

Due to its dynamic nature, rapid technology change, uneducated employees, harsh working conditions, many work accidents, and heavy consequences of accidents, occupational health and safety (OHS) practices are essential in the construction industry. However, occupational Health and Safety measures in the construction industry come with additional costs. Therefore, employers who have to bear a cost to take OHS measures may consider OHS costs unnecessary without considering the costs they will bear after work accidents and occupational diseases. This research aims to estimate the optimal costs of OHS budgets to reduce the number of accidents with lost time injury and whether the carried costs for occupational health and safety in the construction industry impact the lost time injuries. Therefore, OHS costs in the construction industry are grouped into eight categories: fire, work equipment, electricity, health, personal protective equipment, general equipment, training and occupational health and safety service costs. This research is based on the standard unit costs set for the 8 OHS criteria required by the OHS laws, accident severity rates and actual unit costs that the projects have carried for five years for the construction of 15 buildings with 220.000 m2- 500.000 m2 indoor space which is located in Istanbul Turkey, started in 2013 and completed in 2017. Since the research was conducted before January 1, 2020, there is no requirement for an ethics committee permission document. According to the research results, as the costs of occupational health and safety services, fire and training increased, accident severity rates has decreased. However, the impact of other variables on accident severity rates was not statistically significant. Thus, construction enterprises that want to decrease the accident severity rates in their projects need to emphasise occupational health and safety services, fire, and training criteria.

El presente trabajo investigativo tiene como propósito diagnosticar el nivel del conocimiento y uso de los recursos tecnológicos en el proceso áulico en los Docentes de la Unidad Educativa Seis de Octubre de Ventanas, del Cantón Ventanas, provincia Los Ríos. Los datos obtenidos están fundamentados bajo la aplicación de métodos empíricos a docentes, autoridades y estudiantes de la Institución, quienes permitieron valorar el nivel de conocimientos informáticos y evidenciar el déficit del uso de los recursos tecnológicos. Este estudio se realizó bajo el diseño de tipo de campo descriptivo, con la metodología de estudio de caso. En los resultados de la investigación se puede corroborar que no utilizar los recursos tecnológicos en el proceso áulico provoca un retraso en las buenas prácticas pedagógicas apoyadas en la tecnología. Se propone diseñar un programa de formación y capacitación informática continua, para los docentes, el mismo que generará cambios importantes en los miembros de la institución, como la alta competitividad de los docentes y una educación que esté acorde a los adelantos tecnológicos que influyen significativamente en nuestra sociedad. Palabras Clave: Recursos tecnológicos,  Proceso áulico, Educación media   ABSTRACT   The intention of this research work is to measure the level of knowledge and classroom usage of  technological resources of the teachers at Seis de Octubre High School, in Ventanas, Los Rios Province. The obtained data are based on the application of empirical methods to teachers, authorities, and students, who made it possible to assess the level of computing knowledge and demonstrate a deficit in the usage of information technology.  This study was carried out in class under the descriptive type field research, with a case study methodology.  The findings of the investigation confirm that not using technological resources in class provokes backwardness in good pedagogical practice supported by technology.   It is proposed to design a continuous Informatics educational program and training  for teachers, in order to generate important changes in the members of the institution, such as high competitiveness of teachers and an education that meets the technological advances that have a significant influence on our society.   Keywords: Technological Resources, classroom process, Middle Education   Recibido: agosto de 2015Aprobado: noviembre de 2015

Intensive manual labor enterprises in the developed world face challenges competing with products imported from countries where manufacturing costs are low. This reduces the volume of domestic production and leads to rapid loss of knowledge and experience in production processes. This study focuses on the Israeli footwear industry as a case study. Qualitative methodologies were applied, including in-depth interviews and field observations. A literature review on previous research, and contemporary trends was conducted. The field research examines challenges along the value chain in small factories. It finds that mass production paradigms impose a decentralized process between designers and manufacturers and therefore do not leverage local potential into a sustainable competitive advantage for small factories. The proposed solution is a digital and technological platform for small manufacturing plants. The platform mediates and designs the connections between production, technology, and design and enables the creation of a joint R&D system.

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan sistem dakwah Pondok Pesantren At-Tawazun ditinjau melalui sistem terbuka mulai dari tahap input, conversion, output, feedback, hingga environment dalam upaya mengatasi problematika santri yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan zaman. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan spesifikasi penelitian field research (penelitian lapangan). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan pondok pesantren At-Tawazun dirasakan cukup besar manfaatnya oleh orang tua maupun masyarakat. Lembaga dakwah dan pendidikan ini telah ikut berkontribusi dalam menanggulangi masalah sosial dan kenakalan remaja yang semakin rumit, sehingga mampu memberikan lulusan santri yang brakhlak, berbudi luhur dan mampu mengamalkan ilmunya di masyarakat. Lebih dari itu, kehadiran pondok pesantren At-Tawazun diharapkan dapat mengatasi akulturasi budaya yang menyimpang di era sekarang ini. Sehingga semangat generasi muda kita dapat disalurkan terhadak hal-hal positif, untuk kemajuan Agama dan Negara. This paper aims to describe the da’wah system of At-Tawazun Islamic Boarding School through an open system starting from the input, conversion, output, feedback, and environment stages in an effort to overcome the problems of santri that are influenced by the times. This research uses case study method with qualitative approach and field research specification (field research). The results of this study indicate that the existence of the At-Tawazun Islamic Boarding Scool was felt to be of considerable benefit by parent and community. This da’wah and education institution has contributed to tackling social problems and juvenile delinquency that are increasingly complicated, so as to be able to provide graduates who are morally, virtous and able to practice their knowledge in the community, moreover, the presence of the At-Tawazun Islamic Boarding School is expected to overcome the deviant cultural acculturation in the present era. So that the spirit of our young generation can be channeled suddenly to positive things, for the advancement of Religion and the state.

The design and manufacturing of the rotary table with the specification Ø 170 mm (6 inches) for CNC machine 4 axis has been done. The objective of manufacturing a rotary table is to increase the efficiency of CNC machine Hardford 4 axis to be above 80% in line machining center CV. IM’s workshop. The engineering methods was taken, consist of: working preparation, manufacturing of working drawing, engineering process, the manufacturing and testing. The prototype has been tested and operated, the resulting of increasing productivity of which were as follows: the process of assembling was increased to be 3 time ( before 1 time) and processing time for a specific case reduced from 5 hours to 3 hours, number of operators for the case of assembling the rotary reduced to 1 person (before 4 persons), safety and security become to be better. The results show increased efficiency of CNC machine Hardford, from under 50% to be above 80%. Based on the economical analysis obtained by the cost of good sold (C.G.S) of the rotary table is IDR 34.060.000. The results presented in this paper is expected to be case study for developing a business of the metal and engineering SMEs domestic to the effort of improving efficiency, quality, productivity and competitiveness in global market.ABSTRAKPerancangan dan pembuatan alat bantu meja putar (rotary table) dengan spesifikasi teknis Ø 170 mm (6 inci) untuk mesin CNC 4 axis telah dilakukan. Tujuan pembuatan rotary table adalah untuk meningkatkan efisiensi mesin CNC Hardford 4 axis di atas 80% pada line machining center Bengkel CV. IM. Metode rancang bangun yang dilakukan, meliputi: persiapan kerja, pembuatan gambar kerja, proses engineering, pembuatan dan uji coba. Prototip tersebut telah diuji coba dan dioperasikan dengan hasil peningkatan produktivitas sebagai berikut: proses pengerjaan bongkar pasang meningkat menjadi 3 kali (sebelumnya 1 kali) dan waktu pengerjaan untuk kasus tertentu berkurang dari 5 jam menjadi 3 jam, jumlah operator untuk kasus bongkar pasang rotary berkurang menjadi 1 orang (sebelumnya 4 orang), keselamatan kerja dan keamanan menjadi lebih baik. Hasil peningkatan berupa efisiensi mesin CNC Hardford 4 axis dari sebelumnya di bawah 50% menjadi di atas 80%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis ekonomi diperoleh harga pokok produksi (HPP) alat bantu meja putar adalah sebesar Rp. 34.060.000. Bahasan ini diharapkan menjadi contoh kasus bagi pengembangan usaha IKM logam dan mesin dalam negeri untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, mutu, produktivitas dan keunggulan daya saing di pasar global.Kata kunci: alat bantu meja putar, mesin CNC, harga pokok produksi

In the last decades, geophysical methods such as magnetic survey have become a common technique for prospecting archaeological sites. At sub-Saharan archaeological sites, however, magnetic survey and correlated techniques never came into broad use and there are no signs for an immediate change of this situation. This paper examines the magnetic survey undertaken on the Nigerian site of Zilum, a settlement of the Gajiganna Culture (ca 1800-400 BC) located in the Chad Basin and dated to ca 600-400 BC. By means of the present case study, we demonstrate the significance of this particular type of investigation in yielding complementary data for understanding the character of prehistoric settlements. In conclusion, we point out that geophysical methods should play a more important role in modern archaeological field research, as they furnish a class of documentation not achievable by traditional survey and excavation methods, thus creating new perspectives for interpreting the past of African societies.

Oftentimes, democracy is not spread out evenly over the territory of a country. Instead, pockets of authoritarianism can persist within a democratic system. A growing body of literature questions how such subnational authoritarian enclaves can be democratized. Despite fascinating insights, all existing pathways rely on the actions of elites and are therefore top-down. This article seeks to kick-start the discussion on a bottom-up pathway to subnational democratization, by proposing the attrition mechanism. This mechanism consists of four parts and is the product of abductive inference through theory-building causal process tracing. The building blocks consist of subnational democratization literature, social movement theory, and original empirical data gathered during extensive field research. This case study focuses on the ‘Dynasty Slayer’ in the province of Isabela, the Philippines, where civil society actors used the attrition mechanism to facilitate subnational democratization. This study implies that civil society actors in subnational authoritarian enclaves have agency.

Digitalization has transformed all aspects of life, from social interactions to the working environment and education, something that accelerated with the emergence of COVID-19. The same stands for education and training activities, where the use of digital tools has been gradually advancing and become merely online because of the virus. This brought forth the need to discuss further the applications, benefits, and challenges of digital tools within the framework of the education and training process, and the need to study examples of successful applications. This study aims to support both these requirements by presenting the case study of REFUGEEClassAssistance4Teachers project and its outcomes.
