A UHPLC-HRMS method for simultaneous quantification of flavonoid contents in the aerial parts of Chenopodium bonus-henricus L. was developed and validated. The amount of 12 detected flavonoids was calculated relative to external standard hyperoside. The calibration curve of hyperoside showed very good linear regressions and the correlation coefficient was R2 > 0.9979. The limits of detection and quantitation limits were 0.39 ng/mL and 1.17 ng/mL, respectively. The UHPLC-HRMS method showed acceptable accuracy. At three different concentrations the recoveries of hyperoside ranging from 99.63% to 100.70% with RSD from 1.58% to 2.31%. The intra-day and inter-day precision were determined by analyzing the retention times and recovery of the external standard. The glycosides of spinacetin and patulenin (1) were the predominant compounds in the wild spinach which contents ranging from 1.79 to 4.41 mg g-1 D.W., calculated as hyperoside. The total amount of flavonoids was found to be 15.12 mg g-1 D.W.

Diclofenac is a common and randomly used pharmaceutical product, was evaluated for its active ingredient by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at 282 nm. Diclofenac sodium of 50 mg dose of seven different companies of Bangladesh was extracted from the tablets, cleaned up and the active ingredient was evaluated. Evaluation was carried out with respect to calibration curve of standard diclofenac sodium. Amount of diclofenac in 50 mg tablets of seven different companies were found to be in the range of 47.91 ± 0.90 to 58.52 ± 0.41 mg. Recovery experiments were done by spiking excipient of the medicine at two different concentration levels with 5-7 replicate studies. Correlation coefficient (r2) was found to be 0.9974 and the recovery was103.39 ± 3.93 to 107.96 ± 3.56 % for the drug. Dhaka Univ. J. Sci. 65(2): 163-165, 2017 (July)

The  aim  of  this  research  is  to  describe  the  influence  of  logistic  performance  on  operational performance  in  the  rattan  small-medium  business  in  Palu. Population  of  this  research  is  24  Rattan small-medium  business,  which  consists  of  24  business  owners  as respondents,  and  24  active employees. In total, the sample of this research is 48 people who selected with census method. Method of analysis  is  multiple linear  regressions  by  using  software  of  SPSS  for  Windows  Release  16.0. Hypothesis  test  shows  significance  level  of  α  =  0.05  and  reliability  test  using  the  coefficient  values shows cronbach  alpha  with  coefficient  of  α  =  0,60.  The  result  indicates that  logistic  performance simultaneously  have  significant influence  on  operational  performance,  with  adjusted  R-square  value of 46.4%. Partially, with the standard of α = 0.05, X1, X2 and X3 have significant influence on Y with sig. value of 0.033, 0.037 and 0.000 respectively. The correlation test shows a correlation coefficient by   0.706,  which  means that  the  variable  of  logistic  performance  has  a  strong  relationship with  the operational performance of 70.6%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh kinerja logistik terhadap kinerja  operasional  pada  UKM  industri  rotan  di  Kota  Palu.  Populasi  dalam  penelitian  ini adalah 24 Usaha Kecil Menengah Rotan yang terdiri dari 24 pemilik usaha sebagai responden, dan  24 karyawan  aktif  sehingga  sampel  penelitian  ini  adalah  48  responden dengan teknik sampel yang  digunakan  adalah  Sensus.  Metode analisis  yang  digunakan  adalah  analisis regresi  linier  berganda  dengan menggunakan  perhitungan  dari  software  SPSS  for  Windows Release 16,0. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan memiliki tingkat signifikansi α = 0,05 dan untuk uji  reliabilitas  menggunakan  nilai  koefisien  alan  croanbach  dengan  koefisien  nilai  batas  α  = 0,60.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  bahwa  kinerja  logistik  secara  simultan  menghasilkan pengaruh  yang signifikan terhadap kinerja operasional, dengan nilai Adjust R-square sebesar 46,4%.  Secara  parsial  dengan  standar  α  =  0,05  hasil penelitian  X1,  X2  dan  X3  berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Y dengan sig masing-masing yaitu 0,033, 0,037 dan 0,000. Hasil korelasi tersebut  menunjukkan  koefisien  korelasi  sebesar  0,706  yang berarti  bahwa  variabel  kinerja logistik memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan kinerja operasional sebesar 70,6%.

Detection of 9а-OH-AD prepared by biotransformation by RP-HPLC directly was studied.The detection is performed on a Kromasil 100-5C18(4.6×250mm) column, using methanol:water(7:3,v/v)as mobile phase,0.8mL•min-1flow rate and external standard method,deteced at 242nm.There is a good line correlaction between peak and content in range of 0.01-0.20g/L,the correlation coefficient is 0.9942,the average recovery is 99.09% with a relative stand deviation of 0.89%(n=5).The method is simple,stable,accurate and reliable for quality control of 9а-OH-AD.

Abstract A capillary gas chromatographic (GC) method was developed for the quantitation of cis-9-tricosene in technical material. This method is capable of resolving cis-9-tricosene from the trans-9-tricosene isomer and other impurities in technical 9-tricosene. Samples are dissolved in methylene chloride and analyzed by splitless GC using docosane as an internal standard. The integrity and purity of the peak of interest were confirmed by GC/mass spectrometry. The overall recovery of this method was 101.3 ± 0.82%. The correlation coefficient of the standard calibration curve was 0.9999. The system and method precision for cis-9-tricosene were 0.18 and 0.20%, respectively. The reproducibility of the method by different analysts was within 0.5%.

Abstract A simple and time-efficient UV spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of sucralose in artificial sweeteners. The procedure is based on the UV spectrophotometric determination of the photodegraded product at 270 nm in alkaline medium (pH 12). LOD for this method was 0.02 g/L, and the calibration curve was found to obey Beer's law in the concentration range of 0.1 to 1.2 g/L, with a correlation coefficient (R2) value of 0.9977. The proposed method was studied for accuracy and precision.

The search for new plant species that are promising for use as a source of biologically active substances is an actual area of scientific research in the field of chemistry of natural compounds. The object of this study is the chicory (Cichorium intybus L.) The purpose of our scientific research is to conduct a comparative phytochemical study of the aerial parts of wild-growing and cultivated chicory to establish differences in the qualitative composition and content of secondary metabolites. As a result of studies by HPLC-MS, in the aerial part of a wild-growing plant, 10 compounds were identified esculletin, chicoriin, chicoric acid, chlorogenic acid, kaftaric acid, isochlorogenic A acid, caffeic acid, isoquercetin, astragalin, rutin. The dominant group of substances are oxycoumarins. The phenolic complex of the cultivated plant has a similar composition of secondary metabolites, however, its derivatives are hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives. The quantitative content of phenolic compounds in the wild-growing chicory herb was 2.56±0.12%, cultivated – 4.14±0.21%. Significant differences in the content and qualitative composition of phenolic compounds make it possible to use the chicory of a wild-growing and cultivated population to obtain pharmaceutical substances with various pharmacological effects.

Abstract In this latex immunoassay for human placental lactogen, microtiter plates are used as the reaction vessel and the absorbance at 405 nm is measured to quantify the reactions. This 30-min assay necessitates only one serum dilution and two pipetting steps. The calibration curve extends from 0.5 to 15 mg/L. CVs range from 4.2% to 7.0% for within-run determination and from 7.0% to 11.2% for between-run determinations. A correlation coefficient of 0.949 was obtained for 84 sera when the method was compared with a commercial radioimmunoassay.

Coffee is one of the agriculture commodities that are cultivated by farmers. One of the compounds in the coffee is caffeine. Caffeine is one of alkaloids which contains in coffee bean. The purpose of this study was to determine the contents of caffeine in unripe coffee, pure coffee powder, and mix coffee powder by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Standard solutions of caffeine used were 1 ppm; 3 ppm; 6 ppm; 9 ppm; 12 ppm; and 15 ppm. Caffeine calibration curve equation was y = 0.0494x ??+ 0.01862 with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.99714. Caffeine content in unripe coffee was 1,28±0,82 % with water content 3%, pure coffee powder 1,63±0,13 % with water content 1%, and mix coffee powder 0,87±0,01 % with water content 1%. According to SNI 01-7152-2006 maximum limit of caffeine in food and drink was 150 mg/day and 50 mg/dish.

To develop a simple, precise, accurate, and stability indicating a UV-method for estimation of Hydrochlorothiazide(HCT)in bulk and formulated dosage form.The drug was alsosubjected to stress degradation at different conditions recommended by the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH). The samples are generated and used for the degradation studies.The λmax of the HCTwas found to be 273nm.The linearity of calibration curve (Absorbance Vs Concentration) in pure solution was checked over the concentration ranges of about 5-30μg/mLwith the correlation coefficient higher than 0.99. The regression equation of the curve was Y = 0.598x + 0.0042.% RSD was found to be within the limit as per ICH guidelines. The obtained percentage recovery of HCTwas found to be within the limit100% ± SD.  Stress degradation studies revealed thatitwas within the limit(5-20%).
