The aim of the article was to carry out analysis and evaluation of the process of communication CSRby water and sewage companies. The analysis was carried out in relation to 510 water and sewage companieslocated in Poland, associated in the Chamber of Commerce of "Polish Waterworks". In the theoretical part, themethod of literature review was used, and in the empirical research, the method of analyzing the content of thesocial responsibility concept published on the enterprises’ websites was used. The obtained results allow for theconclusion that the communication carried out by the surveyed water and sewage companies in the field ofcorporate social responsibility should be assessed quite low. Out of 510 surveyed enterprises 63% did not informabout the implementation of activities in line with the CSR concept. Most of them conduct communicationactivities in the form of environmental education. Among the surveyed water and sewage companies, the biggestnumber of them have a well-developed and implemented systems ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS. Hence, itcan be concluded that enterprises, the most often and to a very limited extent, only implement the strategy ofinforming about CSR activities. The research also shows that in Polish conditions there is no relationship betweenthe implementation of formalized management systems and the concept of CSR

The aim of this article is to analyse publications about Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and identify research opportunities. We conducted a literature review using the software EndNote to index the articles, and identified features related to IMS based on a systemic analysis. The interest of firms in implementing standards for Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety, respectively, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is increasing, however, managing these three separate systems is a challenge. Some of the reasons that we presented in these articles for implementing IMS include satisfying customers’ requirements and responding to government appeals. Finally, we identified from the portfolio of articles the most cited authors, articles, barriers and difficulties for implementing IMS.

Purpose This study aims to explore the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak on exports of goods and services, logistics performance, environmental management system (ISO 14001) certification and quality management system (ISO 9001) certification in top affected Asian countries of India, Iran, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Design/methodology/approach A novel grey relational analysis models’ approach is used to examine the inter-relationship between COVID-19 economic growth and environmental performance. Moreover, the authors applied a conservative (maximin) model to investigate which countries have the least intensifying affected among all of the top affected COVID-19 Asian countries based on the SS degree of grey relation values. The data used in this study was collected from multiple databases during 2020 for analysis. Findings Results indicate that the severity of COVID-19 shows a strong negative association and influence of COVID-19 on the exportation of goods and services, logistics performance, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications in all the six highly affected countries during a pandemic outbreak. Although the adverse effects of COVID-19 in exporting countries persisted until December 31, 2020, their magnitude decreased over time in Indonesia and Pakistan. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Pakistan showed comparatively better performance among the six top highly affected Asian countries due to its smart locked down strategy and prevents its economy from severe damages. While India and Iran export drastically go down due to a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths. Research limitations/implications The research findings produce much-required policy suggestions for leaders, world agencies and governments to take corrective measures on an emergent basis to prevent the economies from more damages and improve their logistics, environmental and quality performance during the pandemic of COVID-19. Originality/value This study develops a framework and investigates the intensifying effects of COVID-19 effects on economic growth, logistics performance, environmental performance and quality production processes.

The main aim of this paper is to answer the research question, “Is the Gompertz model suitable for studying the diffusion of the ISO 22000 standard in Europe?” Forecasting models adopting the Gompertz model were developed to estimate to which extent the Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) based on the ISO 22000 standard are expected to be implemented and certified in the European continent. To provide a forecast for the next few years, data from the diffusion of renowned ISO standards, namely, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, were extrapolated in order to overcome the shortcoming since data concerning ISO 22000 certification was only available for the period 2007 to 2018. The results provide a cross-sectional portrayal of the European diffusion of ISO 22000 certification and suggest an interval of the estimated number of certificates issued in Europe. This research paper presents the first attempt to empirically analyze the dynamic of diffusion of the European ISO 22000 certification. A more accurate fitting with real results may be expected with further information available in the forthcoming years.
