<p class="0abstract">With the increasing relevance of mobile apps for companies, push notifications to address app users are also becoming more important. While the acceptance factors of push notifications have already been extensively researched, the effect of the different design elements on user interaction by opening the mobile app is still completely unexplored. Based on existing scientific findings from related fields, especially banner advertising and e-mail marketing, the authors first develop hypotheses on the effect of title, button and image on user interaction with push notifications. In several experiments the hypotheses are tested using the example of a mobile shopping app. The results are evaluated using Chi-square test and Cramer's V. While the use of a title seems to have a positive effect on interaction rates, the hypotheses on the positive effect of buttons and images on interaction rates have to be rejected.</p>

The incidence of perineum rupture at Limboto CommunityHealth Center is 46,7%. The purpose of this study was to analyze theeffectiveness of gymnastics pregnancy against rupture perineum inMaternity at Limboto Community Health Center. The method of researchwas used pre-experimental research with statistical group comparisondesign with using chi square test. The population in this study were allthirty pregnant trimester III which amounted 30 people. The sample inthis study were 15 case groups and 15 control groups. The variablepregnant exercise was independent variabel and the dependentvariable was incidence of perineal rupture. The result of this researchby using chi square statistic test was showed t arithmetic 8,571, thatmean the respondent who have high pregnancy exercise did notexperience rupture perineum. Results p - value 0.009 with degree ofsignificance 0.05 (p < 0.05). The conclusion there was a significant effectof pregnancy exercise effectiveness on the incidence of perineal rupturein maternal mothers at Limboto Community Health Center.

Mobile apps have been transforming how individuals and organizations share information and conduct business. This research studies the relationships among user readiness factors, privacy concerns, and user acceptance of mobile app stores. A survey was conducted among college smart phone users. Results indicate that the privacy concerns construct has a direct negative effect on purchase intention of mobile apps in the app store. In addition, user readiness has a direct positive effect on attitudes to the app store, and a net positive effect on purchase intention of apps in the app store. Implications of our findings were discussed.

ObjectiveMobile phone-based interventions have been proven to be effective tools for smoking cessation, at least in the short term. Gamification, that is, the use of game-design elements in a non-game context, has been associated with increased engagement and motivation, critical success factors for long-term success of mobile Health solutions. However, to date, no app review has examined the use of gamification in smoking cessation mobile apps. Our review aims to examine and quantify the use of gamification strategies (broad principles) and tactics (on-screen features) among existing mobile apps for smoking cessation in the UK.MethodsThe UK Android and iOS markets were searched in February 2018 to identify smoking cessation apps. 125 Android and 15 iOS apps were tested independently by two reviewers for primary functionalities, adherence to Five A smoking cessation guidelines, and adoption of gamification strategies and tactics. We examined differences between platforms with χ2tests. Correlation coefficients were calculated to explore the relationship between adherence to guidelines and gamification.ResultsThe most common functionality of the 140 mobile apps we reviewed allowed users to track the days since/until the quit date (86.4%). The most popular gamification strategy across both platforms was performance feedback (91.4%). The majority of apps adopted a medium level of gamification strategies (55.0%) and tactics (64.3%). Few adopted high levels of gamification strategies (6.4%) or tactics (5.0%). No statistically significant differences between the two platforms were found regarding level of gamification (p>0.05) and weak correlations were found between adherence to Five A’s and gamification strategies (r=0.38) and tactics (r=0.26).ConclusionThe findings of this review show that a high level of gamification is adopted by a small minority of smoking cessation apps in the UK. Further exploration of the use of gamification in smoking cessation apps may provide insights into its role in smoking cessation.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of several intrinsic motivations driving consumers' intention to buy using a mobile app, namely: shopping gamification, focussed attention, shopping enjoyment and socialness, through the mediating role of shopping engagement. The online shopping experience is investigated in its dual role as direct driver of the intention to buy using a mobile app and as moderator of the shopping engagement – intention to buy using a mobile app path.Design/methodology/approachThe empirical analysis was performed in China due to the extensive usage of mobile shopping apps amongst the Chinese population. A structural equation model was estimated on 893 valid and complete structured questionnaires collected amongst a sample of Chinese consumers.FindingsFindings confirm that intrinsic motivations (i.e. shopping gamification, focussed attention, shopping enjoyment and socialness) indirectly influence the intention to buy using a mobile app channelled by shopping engagement. Most remarkably, results show that the online shopping experience positively moderates the shopping engagement – intention to buy using a mobile app path.Originality/valueThe novelty of the paper lies in the conceptual and empirical evidence provided on shopping gamification, within the retailing marketing domain. The study investigates other related intrinsic motivations that jointly with shopping gamification directly influence shopping engagement and indirectly impact mobile shopping intention. The paper provides insights into the moderating role of online shopping experience, a key aspect when the challenge concerning gamification is considered.

Smartphones have become ubiquitous communication tools for everybody, including older adults to stay connected with their family and access to information. However, mobile operators and developers mainly target the youngster cohort in mobile industry. With the rising ageing population, smartphone user interface and some mobile apps are not designed to cater the needs of older adults. This could hinder them from fully utilizing the smartphone functions and its services. A mobile-user interaction study using mixed-methods (questionnaire, interview and observation) was conducted to examine usability and user interface design issues of smartphone and mobile apps among 80 older adults in Malaysia. Four tasks design were ‘making voice calls’, ‘using phonebook’, ‘installing a mobile app from Google Play Store’, and ‘using WhatsApp’. The results were analysed both quantitatively (for usability evaluation) and qualitatively (for interviews and observation). The usability result revealed that the ‘voice call’ task had the highest success task completion rate (83.44%), followed by ‘phonebook’ (70.16%), ‘mobile app download’ (63.13%) and ‘using WhatsApp’ (60.42%). Three themes were emerged from the qualitative thematic analysis, which showed a mismatch between older adults’ expectation and smartphone user interface. A majority had never downloaded a mobile app before, and they had problems downloading it from Play Store. They perceived the Play Store feature as a place for children playing games. To close the discrepancy between user expectation and mobile design, the mobile designers and developers are required to consider the older adults’ needs for better usability of smartphone user interface design

The repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was projected by politicians and military personnel alike to have a negative impact on unit cohesion. The findings of this study indicated that overall military cohesion was high, and that many military members found that the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” had no impact on task or social cohesion. However, using the Chi Square test, there were two noted significant associations when observing participant pay grade and perceptions of how the repeal of DADT has affected a unit’s ability to work together to complete tasks get the job done (χ2 (5) = 13.37, p = .020), and when observing participant pay grade and how the repeal of DADT has affected how much service members in the immediate unit care about each other (χ2 (5) = 12.92, p = .024). When an impact on cohesion was noted, the repeal had a positive or very positive effect.

The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of different oocyte retrieval schemes over a period of 10 weeks. Fifteen multiparous Angus cows were randomly assigned (n=3/group) to the following groups: 1) OPU once/week (7-day interval), 2) OPU twice/week (3- and 4-day interval, alternately), 3) Dominant follicle removal (DFR)+OPU once/week. DFR followed by OPU 72h later, 4) DFR+FSH+OPU once/week. DFR followed 36h later by FSH (Folltropin, Bioniche, Belleville, Ontario, Canada) (120mg s.c. and 80mg i.m. administered simultaneously) followed by OPU 48h later, 5) FSH+OPU twice/week. FSH followed by OPU1 30h later and OPU2 96h after OPU1. The interval between OPU2 and next FSH was approximately 42h. The follicles were aspirated using an Aloka ultrasound scanner (Wallingford, CT, USA) and a 5-MHz probe. The COCs were selected based on morphology and matured in TCM-199, supplemented with 10% FCS, 0.01 unitsmL−1 bFSH, 0.01 unitsmL−1 bLH and antibiotics. Fertilization (Day 0) was carried out with TALP-FERT medium containing capacitation factors. Frozen semen from the same bull was used (1×106mL−1) throughout. After 18h the presumptive zygotes were cultured in SOF with 5% FCS (Holm P et al., 1999 Theriogenology 52, 683–700). The embryos were evaluated based on IETS guidelines (Grades 1 and 2 selected). The data were analyzed by chi-square test and ANOVA. In all parameters, the DFR followed by FSH and subsequent OPU once/week protocol gave the best results on a per-cow-per-week as well as total (3 cows over 10 weeks) basis. Though OPU was done only once/week, this group produced more total oocytes (303) than groups where OPU was done twice/week, either with FSH (286) or without FSH (229) and also produced more total embryos on Day 8 (71 blastocysts, 23.4% of oocytes cultured) than the latter two groups (64, 22.4% and 49, 21.4%, respectively). Among the nonstimulated groups, the OPU twice/week group had more total oocytes (236) than groups with OPU once/week, either without DFR (137) or with preceding DFR (160). However, a preceding DFR seemed to have a positive effect on oocyte quality as this group had a better embryo development rate (26.9%), producing more total embryos (42). In comparison, OPU twice/week produced total 49 embryos (21.4%) and OPU once/week produced 26 (19.4%). In conclusion, DFR coupled with single-shot FSH administration can be used effectively over a period of at least 10 consecutive weeks and can increase (P&lt;0.05) the oocyte yield by two-fold and embryo production following IVF by two and half-fold, as compared to routine OPU-IVF done once a week. This study aims to examine 1) The effect of education level on ethical dilemmas in accounting students at Padang State University, 2) The effect of cumulative achievement index on ethical dilemmas in accounting students at Padang State University, and 3) The influence of gender on ethical dilemmas in accounting students at Padang State University. This research is a type of causative research. This research uses a research instrument in the form of an ethical dilemma scenario with 213 respondents of accounting students. Data analysis techniques using the chi square test. The results of the study found that 1) The level of education was proven to have a significant positive effect on ethical dilemmas with the sig value of questions 1, questions 2, questions 3, and questions 4 in the ethical dilemma scenario of 0.028; 0.026; 0.003; 0.004 which is smaller than 0.05. 2) The cumulative achievement index is proven to have a significant positive effect on ethical dilemmas with a sig in question 1, question 2, question 3, and question 4 of 0.001; 0,001; 0,000; 0,000 <0.05. 3) Gender was not proven to have a significant positive effect on ethical dilemmas with the value of question 1, question 2, question 3, and question 4 in the ethical dilemma scenario of 0.234; 0.288; 0.510; 0.444> 0.05.

BACKGROUND Depression is an extremely prevalent issue in the United States, with an estimated 7% of adults experiencing at least one major depressive episode in 2017. Although psychotherapy and medication management are effective treatments for depression, significant barriers in accessing care persist. Virtual care can potentially address some of these obstacles. OBJECTIVE We conducted a preliminary investigation of utilization characteristics and effectiveness of an on-demand health system for reducing depression symptoms. METHODS Data were analyzed from 1662 users of an on-demand mental health system that includes behavioral health coaching, clinical services (therapy and psychiatry), and self-guided content and assessments primarily via a mobile app platform. Measures included engagement characterized by mobile app data, member satisfaction scores collected via in-app surveys, and depression symptoms via the Patient Health Questionnaire-2 (PHQ-2) at baseline and 8-12 week follow-up. Descriptive statistics are reported for measures, and pre/post-PHQ-2 data were analyzed using the McNemar test. A chi-square test was used to test the association between the proportion of individuals with an improvement in PHQ-2 result and care modality (coaching, therapy, and psychiatry, or hybrid). RESULTS During the study period, 65.5% of individuals (1089/1662) engaged only in coaching services, 27.6% of individuals (459/1662) were engaged in both coaching and clinical services, 3.3% of individuals (54/1662) engaged only in clinical services, and 3.7% of individuals (61/1662) only used the app. Of the 1662 individuals who completed the PHQ-2 survey, 772 (46.5%) were considered a positive screen at intake, and 890 (53.6%) were considered a negative screen at intake. At follow-up, 477 (28.7%) of individuals screened positive, and 1185 (71.3%) screened negative. A McNemar test showed that there was a statistically significant decrease in the proportion of users experiencing depressed mood and anhedonia more than half the time at follow-up (<i>P</i>&lt;.001). A chi-square test showed there was no significant association between care modality and the proportion of individuals with an improvement in PHQ-2 score. CONCLUSIONS This study provides preliminary insights into which aspects of an on-demand mental health system members are utilizing and levels of engagement and satisfaction over an 8-12 week window. Additionally, there is some signal that this system may be useful for reducing depression symptoms in users over this period. Additional research is required, given the study limitations, and future research directions are discussed.

The objectives of this research are 1) to examine how Thai youth in tertiary education feel about extrinsic and intrinsic rewards when studying online.2) to explore any similarities and differences between the two techniques. 3) to determine how students felt about the reward system used in this class. The samples in this research are 37 students. They are all the students who study in an online classroom for the whole semester during the COVID19 global pandemic (2019-2021).The questionnaire and the interview instruments were designed to clarify participants&rsquo; attitude and used a five point Likert scales and the entire reliability value is 0.80. The statistics used for data analysis were included descriptive statistics; and proportion and percentage, and inferential statistics such as multiple regression and Chi-square- test. The result disclose as follows : 1) The students showed that all of the four dimensions of this variables test of which one variables is extrinsic, have significant, positive relationships with satisfaction (r = .690, p &lt; 0.01). 2) The results indicate that extrinsic and intrinsic variables had a negative effect on satisfaction (b = .051, p &gt; 0.01), (b = .252, p &gt; 0.01).3) the results indicate that Feelings had a positive effect on satisfaction (&beta; = .638, p &lt; 0.01) and could predict satisfaction variables by 56.1 percent (adjusted R2 &nbsp;= 0.561), and extrinsic and intrinsic variables had a negative effect on satisfaction (p &gt; 0.01).
