The article is devoted to the consideration and study of the creativity of the most prominent representatives of the musical art of national ethnic groups, the role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the identification of various criteria for the relationship of ethnic groups living in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the peculiarities of their life, way of life, spheres of life, their relationship and views on the modern State, created by the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Nursultan Nazarbayev. The core of the projects completed in the period from 2012 to 2017 includes not only historical facts and materials found from the State Archives, Central Scientific Library and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also an overview of active participation in many events related to the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, to the 20th and 25th anniversaries of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, associated with the considered ethnocultural centers and representatives of certain ethnic groups. Through the media, participation in international scientific and practical conferences, previously unknown facts of the studied ethnic groups were highlighted, and their relationship with the main population of the republic, their contribution to the multinational culture of Kazakhstan, which in turn confirms the prudent, orderly, and wise policy of Elbasy (The Head of the State). The authors use the following methods in the study: historical-chronological, source study, analytical, comparative, and interviewing. Since 2012, in Kazakh musicology, the musical heritage of ethnic groups inhabiting Kazakhstan has been studied. A unique opportunity for a full-fledged study of their work is presented thanks to the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and systematic state policy, under the leadership of the First President. In 2017, the second book, entitled "The Historical Significance of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Interethnic Cultural Integration", was published, which became a fruitful result of the research project in 2015–2017. This book is a kind of continuation of the series, which began in the previous collective monograph "The Musical Art of the People of Kazakhstan", which was published at the end of 2014 and has undergone extensive testing not only among professionals, but also among fans of the musical culture of multinational Kazakhstan. Such research projects, which were not previously carried out in the domestic humanitarian science, are significant and in demand, since before their appearance in domestic musicology there were only separate reports on the activities of cultural centers, articles in the media and on Internet sites, a brief analysis of the work of specific masters in publications devoted to the study of the history of musical art of numerous national cultures. They give only fragmentary ideas about the art of the ethnic groups in question. The relevance and insufficient elaboration of these problems served as the basis for the study "The historical significance of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in interethnic cultural integration", carried out by the Department of Musicology of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The implementation of such a complex and significant topic for the national musical art, coverage of the activities of large cultural centers of different ethnic groups, and much more makes it possible to determine the contribution of each of them to the history of Kazakhstan's development and outline ways to preserve the traditional folklore heritage and identity. In this regard, these projects are relevant and socially and politically significant at the state level.

AT&T's Bell Laboratories produced a prolific number of innovative digital art and experimental color systems between 1965 and 1984. However, due to repressive regulation, this work was hidden from the public. Almost two decades later, when Bell lifted its restrictions on creative work not related to telephone technologies, the atmosphere had changed so dramatically that despite a relaxation of regulation, cutting-edge projects were abandoned. This paper discusses the struggles encountered in interdisciplinary collaborations and the challenge to use new media computing technology to make experimental art at Bell Labs during this unique time period, now largely lost to the history of the media arts.

The article analyzes the impact of globalization processes on the development of information and communication potential of mass media in the Republic of Mordovia. Such concepts as “globalization,” “information and communication globalization,” “content of the epoch,” “acceleration of the rhythm of time,” “glocalization” are clarified and justified. The positive and negative consequences of the impact of glocal processes on the development of the region are presented. The author summarizes the research on new media and the processes of digitalization of the information system and highlights the main factors of globalization in regional media. There is a quantitative growth of mass communication media in the Republic of Mordovia and the development of the entire system of media communications. It is proved that globalization in the media of the Republic of Mordovia, as well as in other regions, is carried out through digitalization, which is represented in all information processes, while glocalization is manifested in the preservation of regional and national characteristics. Based on the thematic analysis of the media texts of Mordovia, it is shown that the vast majority of materials are devoted to events in the region, that is, on the one hand, the audience remains highly interested in regional topics, and on the other hand, regional news reaches the federal and even global level. It is noted that the federal network media does not manage to take a significant place in the region and this gives scope for the development of the local press.

AbstractThe debate of the Theory of Agenda (McCombs and Shaw) recognizes that the media agenda participates intensely in shaping the public agenda. Strong economic interests and public powers are indeed making the media could not be neutral, honest, fair, objective and open. As a result, the information presented by the media has raised the issue of serious objectivity of knowledge on the media itself. The hegemony in the media then becomes strategic. Mass media as part of the public space, which includes languages, signs and symbols are produced, distributed and not served as a mere passive hegemony. Because of the operation of political ideology behind the media, it could not be separated from hidden-ness and ideological mechanisms that infiltrate and exert influence through the media that changes the people perception. Therefore, a critique of ideology can help and understand how ideology is very important and plays a role in a sistem of mass media. In addition to the criticism ideology discloses certain interests behind the value of the hidden ideology.

This research uses a critical discourse analysis method, from Fair Clough and the value of Islamic communication which not only analyzes the literature discourse but also describes the aspects of description, analysis, and interpretation of the overall coverage. The results of the study provide an explanation of the interpretation of the coverage of i-News TV evening, titled "Aceh Grieving" in the midst of media openness, especially private television programs that tend to be free, as well as the sentiment of media crews in manifesting their roles and functions in the public sphere. Several findings conclude, how the media construct the contents of the news, which shows to the people of Indonesia, that the MNC group, with i-News TV is a mass media that has social sensitivity and social responsibility (CSR) in Indonesia. The approaches taken by the media include: a) Economically and businessly; news content invites the public to care socially-economically, will be moved to channel material donations (money) voluntarily. Here later the MNC Group appears to be one of the names of national private media institutions which in reality are able to channel community social assistance funds to Aceh, b) Ideologically and Politically; to strengthen and posisitioining organizations like this for a mass media communication becomes potential and is expected later, indirectly, can reap political benefits and opportunities associated with moral support and engagement of political interests of the wider community, c) from a cultural approach; Aceh is culturally and historically the region where the people were first touched by the movement to spread Islam in the archipelago.
