The article analyzes the impact of globalization processes on the development of information and communication potential of mass media in the Republic of Mordovia. Such concepts as “globalization,” “information and communication globalization,” “content of the epoch,” “acceleration of the rhythm of time,” “glocalization” are clarified and justified. The positive and negative consequences of the impact of glocal processes on the development of the region are presented. The author summarizes the research on new media and the processes of digitalization of the information system and highlights the main factors of globalization in regional media. There is a quantitative growth of mass communication media in the Republic of Mordovia and the development of the entire system of media communications. It is proved that globalization in the media of the Republic of Mordovia, as well as in other regions, is carried out through digitalization, which is represented in all information processes, while glocalization is manifested in the preservation of regional and national characteristics. Based on the thematic analysis of the media texts of Mordovia, it is shown that the vast majority of materials are devoted to events in the region, that is, on the one hand, the audience remains highly interested in regional topics, and on the other hand, regional news reaches the federal and even global level. It is noted that the federal network media does not manage to take a significant place in the region and this gives scope for the development of the local press.

The article raises the issues of scientific reception of such a phenomenon as media culture. The authors offer their interpretation of media culture as a special type of culture of the information society in the broadest understanding of this phenomenon. The authors consider the concepts of media and culture and establishes their functional corresponddence. The contemporary stage of media development is characterized by a combination of communication and information intentions: classical media and mass communication media, including new media, blogs, social networks, as well as digital copies of non-network artifacts and their network modifications. The result of these media communications is a media text in the broadest interpretation of this concept. According to the authors concept, contemporary media culture realizes itself in two main aspects. In the applied sense, a media culture is a form of representation and digitalization of classical and network cultural units. In the global sense, media culture is understood as an aesthetic and axiological sphere of societys life, in which culture combines the value and artistic heritage, using the information and communication channels of the media for its representation in politics, education, and culture itself.

The dynamic development of traditional media: print, radio, television, the emergence of new computer information technologies, the globalization of the world information space makes a huge impact on the current state of the language. Mass media are the most important tool in the development and the preservation of the language. On the one hand, all the latest language changes are reflected in the media, and on the other hand, the media influence language changes and development. This article outlines the results of the study concerning the role of regional media in the distribution and popularization of the national language. A full description is given to modern Tatar-language media within the Russian media space. Nowadays, despite an active distribution of network mass media, television remains one of the main communication channels. For a large part of the Russian population, including the viewers of the Republic of Tatarstan, it is one of the most accessible ways to obtain the information in native language. In this regard, in the course of the study, they studied the experience of the main Tatar-language television and radio companies in the popularization of the national language

Initially, the Internet and the media were invented to facilitate information and communication between people. Recently, information has become easily accessible and unverified, so its quality has begun to deteriorate every day. It can be noted that the literacy rate of the population is falling significantly. Many speech and grammatical errors are made not only by schoolchildren, but also by adults and educated people. There is concern about the impact of the Internet on the younger generation. Now, under the influence of mass communications, new priorities and values are emerging, and speech and its standards are changing. Our research has revealed that the Internet and the media have a negative impact on the speech of each generation. But most of all, children are affected by this, since they are the main users of the Internet and cannot select correct and verified information.

In the recent past, advances in information and communication technology have resulted in unifying the world and these developments have impacted public policy, private attitudes and behaviour. The media can play a vital role in the empowerment of women. Though the number of women who work in the media has increased, very few women are in the top positions where they can take decisions or influence content and policy towards the portrayal of women's issues. Gender-based stereotyping still continues in all forms of media. The consumer-driven patterns of media reinforce women's traditional roles and inappropriately target women. The media also contribute to the creation of violent, negative and sexually exploitative content about women which leads to negatively impacting women's participation in society as equal partners to men with inherent dignity.

Changes in the media environment always lead to changes in the media system, which reflects a different quality of communication. The nature of actors, channels, effects becomes an object of attention of researchers of mass communications. The article deals with the problem of the transformation of the mass communication system, which includes both cinematography and fiction, which can be freely broadcast through various channels, including digital channels. The article considers a new concept, i.e. "communication product". It is understood as a result of professional activity in the field of public and mass communications for the production of a media product, an event product, an advertising and PR product. The media environment is currently characterized by its own messages. They can be built both in traditional newsmaking models (both in journalism and public relations), and in storytelling, narrative (both in advertising and media communications). The article considers such trends in the media environment as the use of hype content, memes and various fakes. The reasons for the emergence of media communications are revealed. There are technological reasons, as modern communication technologies can open access to information to all comers. There are social ones, as new media allows Internet users to actively participate in communications and selectively treat messages they receive. The characteristics of the phenomenon of media communications are distinguished, separating it from journalism, advertising and public relations. The notion of media communications as a process of creation, processing and broadcasting, as well as information exchange in individual, group, mass format through various channels of mass communication (mainly online) is being introduced into scientific circulation through various communication tools - verbal / non-verbal; auditory, audiovisual, visual.

The emergence of the press on the Internet is a new media phenomenon linked to the revolution of information and communication technology. The media landscape has become closer to everyone. The role of the individual is free from the production controls and the policies of the media establishment. Which created a great problem related to the profession and its conditions so that it became easy for the citizen to be a journalist without professional qualification and practical experience in the basic rules of work. The increasing number of electronic media and the impact on Saudi Arabia are an important stage in its media activity. It has been able to reflect a significant role in the world of journalism, to accelerate the use of these new technologies, and to impose itself on the media arena as a strong competitor for paper journalism. However, the multiplicity of electronic platforms, accompanied by many negative repercussions in this aspect, including the absence of professionalism and professionalism and the decline in journalism standards, especially in the climate of freedom enjoyed by the new media and the absence of scissors censor. The aim of this study was to identify the methods and means of communicators in the electronic press to achieve professional standards such as accuracy, credibility, objectivity and neutrality in the dissemination of news and reports through the use of descriptive and analytical approach through the field survey on a sample of the study community. The study relied on the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data from a sample of 120 Saudi journalists in electronic newspapers and then analyzing and interpreting them. The study reached several results, the most important of which is that there is weakness in the adoption of the Saudi electronic press to the professional standards of objectivity, accuracy, credibility, and impartiality in the dissemination of news and reports. The study also concluded that e-newspapers do not always adhere to the rules of journalistic editing, and sometimes publish what is considered a violation of personal freedom.

This article is devoted to the questions of legends, myths as the first mass communication and their influence on the development of primary mass communication, in the border areas of Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia, inhabited by: Lemkos, Boykos and Huculs. In addition, an important element will be the beginning of media development, its effects and the comparison of the impact of the first mass media on society in confrontation with their modern counterparts. The article is based on sources of the formation of the first mass media and specific ethnic «journalism» on the native Slavic lands. Their influence on the Rusyns society and the formation of the media in the national consciousness in society. Description of the medium which educates the social masses, sometimes manipulates them in reference to their current substitutes. Coup attempt on July 15, 2016 is one of the most important events in the history of the Republic of Turkey. In this coup attempt, the media, contrary to other coups, moved with the people who went out to the streets as an anti-coup. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan invited the public to social movement by using the mass media and new media in the prevention of the coup attempt of July 15th. When the attitude of the national media is supported by citizens and mass media, new media and those struggling against the coup have gained strength and helped to make the coup attempt unsuccessful. This chapter examines the story structure of struggle exhibited against the July 15 coup attempt in the transmedia.

the article defines the basic concepts in the field of mass media research. It is noted that the research of mass communications is presented in the scientific and educational literature by a wide range of author’s positions on its structuring depending on the choice of features and priorities for the selection of structural elements. It is pointed out that the study of mass communication in Western countries is developing essentially as a single research complex with a focus on managerial, ideological and cultural aspects of com- municative influence on man and society. It is noted that there are three relatively independent areas of research: 1) non-verbal analysis of rationality in the «production of culture», with emphasis on the organization of mass media and ensuring a level of professionalism and sales in a competitive environment. 2) Neo-Marxist approach, with the study of the symbolic aspect of ideological coercion and political hegemony. 3) Neo-Durkheimian studies of «public perception», which focus on the formation by the mass media of collective ideas of a sense of solidarity of individuals as members of mass audiences. It is emphasized that the basis for the differentiation of approaches to the study of mass communication in society is the relationship between the role of spiritual and material factors. It is pointed out that on the one hand, culturological approaches are widespread, which focus on the study of mass communication in the context of ideas, values, ideas that are both produced and disseminated by them in society. On the other hand, the influential tradition of analysis of mass communication sharpens attention to the study of the structure of property relations, the peculiarities of the imple-mentation of market relations in the field of mass communication. The impact on the media of the achievements of scientific and technological progress, which significantly change their nature, expand their functions in the following areas: 1) decentralization - the choice of programs increasingly depends on the individual, 2)increasing the volume of information programs, 3) the possibility of interactivity - interaction communication for information exchange
