Green Audit works as an environmental consultancy and reviews organizations with the aim of monitoring the performance of companies and organizations whose activities might threaten the environment and the health of citizens. Green Audit is to give citizens the information they need to be able to question when an institute or organization is destroying the environment which we all depend on. Most of the public and private organizations do not have suitable strategies to inspect or suggest the control measures be taken to avoid or reduce such environmental risk, which provided the impetus for the establishment of Green Audit. Green Audit undertakes and supports independent studies in the general areas of environmental public health, pollution, energy efficiency, and social and policy research in relevant areas. It has become increasingly clear that the scientific measurement and appraisal of human health risks, including pollution, are in the hands of the government and establishment-controlled organizations.

The knowledge-based firms can both flourish and grow and stimulate employment and economic growth. Iranian Knowledge-based firms’ protection law is the protection of small and medium knowledge-based firms which are at their elementary steps of growth and don’t have enough attraction to investors. Knowledge-based firms’ protection law in Iran faces to serious challenges that causes this law will not reach to its aim, same as the other protection laws for reducing unemployment and increasing the economic growth. The aim of the study is investigating of structural challenges of knowledge-based firms in Iran. First challenge is about the definition of these kind of firms which weren’t designed in accordance to demand and the knowledge economy and the learner's economy has been ignored. Second challenge is related to performance mechanisms in financial support and providing the facilities for these kind of firms, which reveals the weakness of mechanisms against the economic surplus and corruption. These challenges caused gaps including the weakness of needed mechanisms for the illegal subsidy banning, dependent situation of the innovation and prosperity fund, Khosoulati pressures, enterprise approach of the government, governmental inter-authority competition and the weakness of participant attraction of the public and private organizations that hinder the movement towards a knowledge-based economy.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a communicable infection caused by the novel coronavirus resulting in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV). It was recognized to be a health crisis for the general population of international concern on 30th January 2020 and conceded as a pandemic on 11th March 2020. India is taking various measures to fight this invisible enemy by adopting different strategies and policies. To stop the COVID-19 from spreading, the Home Affairs Ministry and the health ministry, of India, has issued the nCoV 19 guidelines on travel. Screening for COVID-19 by asking questions about any symptoms, recent travel history, and exposure. India has been trying to get testing kits available. The government of India has enforced various laws like the social distancing, Janata curfew, strict lockdowns, screening door to door to control the spread of novel coronavirus. In this pandemic, innovative medical treatments are being explored, and a proper vaccine is being hunted to deal with the situation. Infection control measures are necessary to prevent the virus from further spreading and to help control the current situation. Thus, this review illustrates and explains the criteria provided by the government of India to the awareness of the public to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Both the public and private sectors have since the 1980s relentlessly cut the size of their workforces. The downsizing has regularly been reported to lead to closure of a whole or a part of a corporation or organization. Some studies which have analyzed the closures have reported that remarkable, counterintuitive improvements in labor productivity occurred during the time-period between the closure announcement and the final working day. Testing an elaborated cybernetic model on a Swedish case study, and on an exploratory basis, this paper proposes a holistic approach to generate a better understanding of this phenomenon. The main holistic pattern is a new order where management control is replaced by more “Self-management” on the plant level, and very strong psychological reactions based on feelings of unfairness.

Water is an essential part of human existence. It is universally utilized for various purposes ranging from drinking to other domestic purposes. The need for access to water has been a significant challenge for governments all over the world. In Nigeria, there is a growing concern about the water shortage in various communities across the country. In a bid to overcome water scarcity, the government providesboreholes in many places. However, the inadequacy of functional public boreholes has led to the proliferation of private boreholes across the country, which the quality is doubtful. The purpose of the present study was to compare the physical and bacteriological compositions of the public and private boreholes in Kogi state, Nigeria. A total of ten water samples were collected from different public and private boreholes in three locations in the state. Standard procedures were followed in analyzing the samples. The analysis revealed the presence of salmonella spp, Escherichia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa in the private boreholes.

New media is a trending innovation and its influence in the promotion of mutual understanding between organizations and strategic publics is a more contemporary issue. This study evaluates the perception of public relations practitioners on the incorporation of new media into the process of promoting good relationships between organizations and strategic publics in Nigeria. The fundamental goal is to examine if public relations practitioners find new media helpful in carrying out public relations activities in their organizations. This study is hinged on Technological determinism theory.  Findings show that public relations practitioners of both public and private organizations do perceive the adoption of new media technologies in the performance of their function for the promotion of mutual understanding as supportive to quick and interactive approaches to dissemination of information from organizations to strategic stakeholders and the public. The study recommends that more public relations practitioners of organizations especially public organizations should be encouraged to use new media in course of executing their professional assignments.

Corruption in the public and private sector has become a major problem to the government. Corruption is a serious problem that has become a topic of debate lately, especially in the mass media. Several negative effects will arise as a result of this corruption problem. The main objective of this paper is to analyse the prevailing corruption in land administration. Thus, the trend of corruption in land administration is deeply rooted and it could jeopardize public confidence in the institution of land office. This paper aims to identify the factors of the problem of corruption, recommendations and solutions to curb these crimes from occurring and to identify whether Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC Act 2009) is able to provide solutions to the problems of the crime. The library research and content analysis method are being used in this study. The finding of this research shows that there are several factors of corruption have been identified occurring in the land administration. The MACC Act 2009 appears to have a lot of loopholes in the effort to curb the problem of corruption. This study will highlight some of the proposed recommendations according to Islamic perspective to ensure the interests and rights of all parties involved.   Keywords: corruption, land administration, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, recommendations and solutions according to Islamic law.   Rasuah dalam sektor awam dan swasta telah menjadi satu masalah utama bagi kerajaan. Rasuah merupakan gejala serius yang sering menjadi topik perbincangan sejak akhir-akhir ini terutamanya dalam media massa. Di samping itu juga, pelbagai kesan negatif yang akan timbul akibat daripada masalah rasuah ini. Objektif utama penulisan ini di buat adalah untuk melihat gejala rasuah yang berlaku dalam pentadbiran tanah. Justeru itu, trend jenayah rasuah dalam pentadbiran tanah yang semakin meningkat amatlah membimbangkan kerana ia boleh menggugat kepercayaan orang ramai terhadap institusi pejabat tanah. Kertas kerja ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti punca masalah rasuah, beberapa cadangan penambahbaikan dan jalan penyelesaian bagi mengekang jenayah ini dari terus berlaku. Perbincangan ini turut mengupas Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009 (ASPRM 2009) adakah mampu memberi penyelesaian kepada permasalahan jenayah ini. Kajian kepustakaan dan kaedah analisis kandungan digunakan dalam kajian ini. Hasil kajian mendapati terdapat beberapa punca masalah rasuah yang telah dikenal pasti berlaku dalam pentadbiran tanah dan ASPRM 2009 turut dilihat masih longgar dalam usaha untuk mengekang masalah rasuah ini. Penulisan ini akan mengutarakan beberapa cadangan penambahbaikan menurut perspektif Islam dalam menjamin kepentingan dan hak-hak semua pihak yang terlibat.   Kata kunci: rasuah, pentadbiran tanah, Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009, cadangan dan penyelesaian menurut undang-undang Islam.

It is important to distinguish between two kinds of transparency. The government can be transparent about its “inputs”: about who, within government, said what to whom, and when, and why. The government can also be transparent about its “outputs”: its regulations and its policies, its findings about air and water quality, or its analysis of the costs and benefits of drone strikes. The argument for output transparency is often very strong, because members of the public can receive information that can help them in their daily lives and because output transparency can improve the performance of both public and private institutions. The argument for input transparency is different and often weaker, because the benefits of disclosure can be low and the costs can be high. It is challenging to make general pronouncements about input transparency and the appropriate evaluation of leaks and leakers without making a contestable judgment about whether a particular government is well-functioning and capable of self-correction.

The chapter will be a case study from an Ordoliberal perspective of the conception, implementation and policy output of the newly created Private Council of Competitiveness (PCC) in Guatemala, a country wracked by mistrust of the public sector by the private sector. The PCC was founded as a private sector initiative, in conjunction with academia, to work with the government to spawn new efforts aimed at augmenting Guatemala's national competitiveness, by fomenting innovation, entrepreneurship and closer ties between academia and the public and private sectors. The chapter utilizes first hand interviews with the members of the PCC and key public sector players, academics, and other top representatives from the private sector to show how working together built the trust necessary to make the PCC a successful working body with the potential to produce important initiatives in matters of competitiveness, innovation and entrepreneurship.

This article contributes to emergent debates in critical security studies that consider the processes and effects that arise where new forms of automated technology begin to guide security practices. It does so through research into public Wi-Fi infrastructure that has started to appear across the globe and its mobilization as a device for warning the public about emergencies. I focus specifically on an iteration of this infrastructure developing in New York called LinkNYC. According to the infrastructure’s operators, the processes that underpin emergency communication have gradually become ‘automated’ to accelerate LinkNYC’s deployment during crises. The article pursues three lines of inquiry to explore the automation of security infrastructure, in turn making three correspondent original contributions to wider debates. First, it unpacks the real-time analytics and platform-based data-sharing techniques cultivated to automate emergency communication. Here, I expand understanding of the new forms of automation now integrated into technologies harnessed for security and their practical effects. These forms of automation, I demonstrate secondly, are situated by those governing into wider imaginaries concerning the transformative promise automation bears. I argue that the proliferation of these imaginaries play a crucial role in justifying and dictating the enrolment of new devices into security. Third, it explores how automation affords private companies the opportunity to exercise discretionary decisionmaking that changes how and when infrastructure should operate during emergencies. Developing this argument, I add new dimensions to debates regarding the political ramifications associated with automation by claiming that automation redistributes authority across the public and private organizations that increasingly coordinate in bringing new technologies to bear in the security domain.

The quest for producing vehicles friendlier to the environment is often impeded by the fact that a producer private good objective, such as maximum profit, competes with the public good objective of minimizing impact on the environment. Contrary to commercial claims, there may be no defined decision maker in the vehicle production and consumption process who takes ownership of the public good objective, except perhaps the government. One way ecofriendly products could become more successful in the marketplace is if public and private good objectives become more aligned to each other. This paper introduces three metrics for comparing Pareto curves in bi-objective problems in terms of relative level of objective competition. The paper also presents a quantitative way of studying an individual firm’s trade-off between profit and fuel consumption for automotive products, currently undergoing an historic evolution in their design. We show how changes in technology, preferences, competition, and regulatory scenarios lead to Pareto frontier changes, possibly eliminating it altogether.
