Business Portals are now widely used in e-commerce. Intuitively Portals can be regarded as an information gateway for exchanging business information over the Internet. The process of business information exchange requires the services of security and access control, interoperability over a variety of software of platforms and systems, interconnectivity for communications among different data communication networks, and scalability for information being sharable on different hardware devices. So, portals can also be regarded as an information carrier for delivering the right information to the right user, at the right time, to the right place, to make the right decisions. A portal is a packaged piece of information with the properties of self-servicing, personalization, and real-time delivery. From a business point of view, a portal is a mobile, self-explanatory, and just-in-time delivered piece of information. In e-commerce, business information is a set of time-stamped transactions that can be triggered by events in business activities. This article will illustrate and explain the architecture of intelligent business portals for Web-enabled business applications.

By interconnecting nanomachines and forming nanonetworks, the capacities of single nanomachines are expected to be enhanced, as the ensuing information exchange will allow them to cooperate towards a common goal. Nowadays, systems normally use electromagnetic signals to encode, send and receive information, however, in a novel communication paradigm, molecular transceivers, channel models or protocols use molecules. This article presents the current developments in nanomachines along with their future architecture to better understand nanonetwork scenarios in biomedical applications. Furthermore, to highlight the communication needs between nanomachines, two applications for nanonetworks are also presented: i) a new networking paradigm, called the Internet of NanoThings, that allows nanoscale devices to interconnect with existing communication networks, and ii) Molecular Communication, where the propagation of chemical compounds like drug particles, carry out the information exchange.

Green logistics is very attractive and request the point of view. Many companies try to be “green”, but on the other hand they also must be quick, be in right time in the right place and everything with as low costs as possible. So because of it, they use more road freight transport. Nowadays road freight transport is much expanded as transport companies prefer the possibility to operate just-in-time.  There are several advantages that give road freight transport the first place. Firstly, the truck can be prepared whenever, no matter what time is chosen.  Secondly, the flexibility and no more borders with customs control inside the Schengen Area make freight transport quicker. On the other hand, innovative approaches ask for environmental protection, which becomes one of the most important points of view.  If countries support this environmental friendly transport, this would be reflected in the transport prices which should make rail transport more interesting. Using the methodology in the manuscript was divided to three steps. The first step is to identify relevant questions related to border crossing. Next step is to elaborate a list of border problems, and the last step is an analysis of available data.

The way of life has changed with the introduction of information and communication technologies (ICT) in every one’s day to day activities and the business. As ICT technologies are constantly evolving, many people attribute the success of enterprises to the ways they deploy and take advantage of new technologies, not only to make their operations more efficient but most importantly to refine and adopt new effective and adaptive business models. Since the advent of the Internet and the very first Internet service providers (ISP) in operation, the traditional ISP market has been in constant evolution due to the gradual globalisation and commoditisation of ISP services. Deregulation and ICT policies have fostered competition (e.g., unbundling of the local loop and so forth) as well. The Internet is as an important channel of interaction inside and/or outside enterprises. The essence of the Internet is conducting business and running of business processes over data communication networks based on nonproprietary standards (Porter, 2001). The World Wide Web as a portal represents a major electronic business (e-business) platform accessed through communication channels provisioned by network and service providers (such as ISDN, DSL, WLAN, UMTS, etc.). There are many challenging aspects of the e-Business that must be considered for a sustainable business of an ISP (Petrie et al., 2004).

In the article raises the actual issue of legal regulation of the Kazakhstan Internet space. The author examines the issues of combining the methods of legal regulation and self-regulation on the Internet.Prospects of soft law in the international regulation of the Internet, in countries such as the United States, Britain and Russia are assessed from different points of view. Especially the author draws attention to such topics as terrorism, pornography and encroachment on the honor and dignity of citizens.The relevance of this topic is expressed in the fact that, the Internet is still not sufficiently regulated from the legal point of view. The constant increase in the number of subscribers and the growing importance of information exchange through the Network attract the public's attention to the problems of regulation, the development of rules for the fair, legitimate functioning of the Internet by the state. Internet legislation is a set of laws, other normative acts (national and foreign states) which are regulating relations in the virtual space of the Internet. As an Internet relationship is considered only those relations that are connected with the social and legal regulation of the virtual space that is with the regulation of this space on the basis of the norms of law, morals, ethics and other means.The main problems of legal regulation are related to the order and conditions of the use of telecommunications networks and protection of the rights and legitimate interests of various entities during the transfer of information in global computer networks. There is a need to develop an adequate national legislation with all modern requirements, moreover in existing laws on the legal regulation of the Internet space in Kazakhstan prescribed severe penalties, and they haven’t an alternative solutions. This issue causes criticism of both among professional journalists and among the public.At present, the domestic information legislation of Kazakhstan and other countries are very extensive. However, it is still far from perfect and requires working out and adoption of new acts.

Resumo: A pesquisa parte da visão legislativa posterior à adesão do país a Convenção sobre os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência e seu Protocolo Facultativo, promulgados pela Organização das Nações Unidas, que contribuíram para a edição da Lei nº 13.146, de 02 de julho de 2015 que Institui a Lei Brasileira de Inclusão da Pessoa com Deficiência (Estatuto da Pessoa com Deficiência). O ambiente de sociedade da informação é avaliado do ponto de vista das políticas públicas estabelecidas no Marco Civil de internet pela Lei 12.965/14. O desafio do direito de votar e de ser votado por parte da pessoa com deficiência, também é abordado juntamente com a ideia de acessibilidade digital e de cidadania. Abstract: The research part of the subsequent legislative vision to the country's accession to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol, promulgated by the United Nations, which contributed to the enactment of Law No. 13,146, of July 2, 2015 that establishes Brazilian Law of Inclusion of People with Disabilities (Status of Persons with Disabilities ). The information society environment is evaluated from the point of view of public policies established in the Internet Civil Marco by Law 12,965 / 14. The challenge of the right to vote and to be voted by the person with disabilities is also discussed along with the idea of digital accessibility and citizenship.

The protection of fundamental rights has become an axiom that no longer requires the luxury of argumentation. From another point of view, the protection of human rights on the Internet is only emerging. This is all the more so, as the internet plays an important role in people’s daily lives and in all aspects of human society. The impact of the Internet on social, economic and cultural activity is also growing. The scientific research will be devoted to the following aspects related to meetings and participations in the digital space in the Republic of Moldova: (1) freedom to choose web pages, applications or other services for setting up, joining, mobilizing and participating in groups and social assemblies; (2) the right to peaceful online protest; (3) freedom to use available online tools to participate in local, national and global public policy debates, legislative initiatives and public elections.

In this dialogue, the philosopher David Casacuberta starts out by reflecting on how, with the advent of digital technologies, people’s rights are threatened by new problems that require new solutions. He goes on to argue why rights cannot be reduced in the age of technology and Internet. He defends the reasons why access to the Internet should be totally anonymous and argues that cryptography could be a core element for achieving this. He then explains his idea about “privacy as dignity”, and why privacy needs to be redefined. Next, he talks about why we must oppose surveillance from a cultural point of view, - and that doing so is a matter of respect and dignity -, as well as why the right to encrypt is an individual right. Casacuberta finishes by explaining why at present we are culturally faced with the dilemma of collective security, and what consequences this will have for us.

Purpose Until now, the usage and usability factors associated with AEC–FM standards have remained largely overlooked. This oversight could be a potentially significant factor in the adoption rates as well as effective utilization of such advanced solutions in the AEC–FM industry. Therefore, from a conceptual and theoretical viewpoint, the purpose of this paper is to address this gap in understanding and enhancing the usability aspects of standards such as construction operations building information exchange (COBie) over its spreadsheet representation. Besides, findings from this study and the proposed theoretical fundamentals to enhance the usability and functionality of COBie spreadsheet representation could potentially lay the foundation for a VisualCOBie approach. Design/methodology/approach The iterative steps of design thinking and agile development are harmonized to form the main research methodology. Design thinking is useful in problem (re)formulation, and agile development is useful in iterative software development. The approach aims to identify and understand the needs and requirements of the AEC–FM users from the standardized approaches and associated IT solutions; and formulate the main features and functionalities of the proposed solution. The methodology supports the aim of generating a broad range of possible solutions instead of coming up with the “right” solution. Findings Despite the standards and associated IT developments, the AEC–FM industry still suffers from inefficient information management. To date, most initiatives have focused on utilization of the outputs from different IT solutions in terms of accuracy and completeness of the data defined in the standards. This research found that well-established standards such as COBie and corresponding IT solutions are not merely technical issues, but it is equally important to understand how the end-users cognitively perceive and process them. The developed solutions need to address user point of view to facilitate wider utilization of these standards in practice. Research limitations/implications In this research, Gestalt’s visual perception principles have been used to evaluate the usability issues of COBie spreadsheet. Although Gestalt principles provide a valid and proven viewpoint, there can be other cognitive principles that could also be taken into consideration. Originality/value The usage and usability factors associated with AEC–FM standards have remained largely overlooked, indicating a gap in the literature. This gap was considered as a potentially significant factor in the adoption as well as effective utilization of such standards and advanced solutions in the AEC–FM industry. By grounding the research in cognitive and usability perspectives of information exchange standards, the authors demonstrate how such theoretical underpinning can lead to innovative solutions.
