<p>Surakarta is one of the cities in Java island with a high population growth rate, triggering the increase<br />in the construction, especially for high-rise buildings. The city is close to several earthquake sources,<br />causing a high level of seismic hazard. One of the main parameters of earthquake resistant building<br />design is the value of peak ground acceleration at surface level. It is obtained by multiplying the peak<br />ground acceleration in the bedrock by a multiplier factor that depends on the site class conditions of the<br />location. A previous study has been conducted in 2015 using 32 boreholes indicating that around 19.5%<br />of Surakarta area is classified as SC (hard soil), and 80.5% of the rest is SD (medium soil). To increase<br />the accuracy, another 31 additional boreholes data are adopted. The new result shows that Surakarta is<br />divided into three different seismic site class. Around 4.80% the area is classified as SC (hard soil),<br />94.50% is SD (medium soil), and 0,70% is SE (soft soil). The southern part of Surakarta has a higher<br />level of vulnerability to earthquakes, especially in the border area between Banjarsari, Laweyan, and<br />Serengan subdistricts which have a SE (soft soil) seismic site class.</p>

Spatial narrative is an emerging theory of Narratology since Joseph Frank proposed it in 1945. Point Omega is one of Don Delillo&rsquo;s work, completed in 2010, mainly tells stories about two persons: a nameless person alone in museum exhibition hall to watch a silent film and a high-level war adviser Richard Elster, away from the city in seclusion in the desert. This paper use spatial narrative to analyze the theme of Point Omega, which is divided into four parts: the first part briefly introduces spatial narrative and Point Omega; in the second part, the literature in China and others of spatial narrative and Omega Point are reviewed; in the third part, the text is interpreted from three aspects of spatial narrative, physical form, text structure and narrative perspective; the fourth part summarizes how the novel reflects the influence of the concept of time on people&rsquo;s lives.

In Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) communication systems, the pilot pollution in high-rise building area is an increasingly prominent and long-standing problem, which seriously affects Quality of Service (QoS) and User Experience (UE). This paper presents a predicting method of pilot pollution in high-rise building area covered by Outdoor Base Station (OBS).The method, which is based on Operation Maintenance Center (OMC) and location (LOC) data, can predict pilot pollution severity occurred in high-rise and pertinently recommend a prioritization scheme, by analyzing the relationship of pilot strength, distance and angle between target area and OBS. The validity and feasibility of this prediction method have been verified by Call Quality Test (CQT). Operators Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expense (OPEX) could be greatly reduced with the efficient and convenient prediction.

In addition to its established oncological indications the sensitivity of bone scintigraphy is of steadily increasing significance in traumatology. Inactivity- induced osteoporosis plays a major role during the immobilization period in the plaster cast. In the region of the joints remodelling intensity may reach such a high level that the non-injured bone shows a higher rate of accumulation than the fracture. This process already begins between the third and fourth week of immobilization. The highest uptake is found after fracture of the scaphoid bone at the end of twelve weeks of immobilization. Control scintigraphies at intervals of several days are indicated to differentiate between various clinical conditions (pseudoarthrosis, activated osteoarthrosis, algodystrophy in case of doubtful x-ray results).

Geobotanical mapping of the territory in riverheads Bureya of 4500 sq.km is carried out and the map of a actual vegetation cover of scale 1 : 200 000 is prepared. The legend of the map is presented in the form of the text with three-level hierarchy of classes. At the heart of structure of a legend of the map such regularities of a vegetation cover, as its latitudinal zonality / altitudinal belts, situation in a relief and dynamic series lie. The largest divisions of the legend reflect, first, change of large classes of mesocombinations of vegetation at the level of belts and, secondly, distinction in a boreal - forestry belt between a vegetation cover of tops and slopes of mountains, on the one hand, and the bottoms of river valleys, with another. Divisions of the legend of the second level reflect, first, vegetation changes in the form of high-rise and barrier changes of subbelts, secondly, distinctions of a vegetation cover in different geomorphological conditions (small and average river valleys, northern slopes, etc.). Divisions of the legend of the second level correspond to dynamic series of units of the third level. Essential addition to it are block diagrams of dynamics of a vegetation cover.

This study aims to use information technology, uncertainty or moderation duties and interactions between task uncertainty with the use of information technology to end user computing satisfaction. In this study used 70 respondents who actively use computers and working with several companies banking on the city of Padang. The data used are the primary data obtained through questionnaires. The study used three types of variables, the first is the independent variable, namely the utilization of information technology, both moderating variables, namely the uncertainty of the task, the third is the dependent variable is satisfaction of end user computing. The stages of hypothesis testing is done by using a regression model of moderating and statistical t-test. Based on the results of testing the first hypothesis (HI) was found to significantly influence the utilization of information technology to the satisfaction of end user computing. The second hypothesis (H2) testing results found that task uncertainty did not significantly influence the end user computing satisfaction. The third hypothesis (H3) testing found that the interaction or moderation between the use of technology with task uncertainty no significant effect on end user computing satisfaction.

Bodin arrived in Toulouse c.1550, a brief account of the economy, social composition, and governmental institutions of which opens the chapter. There follow comments on its cultural life and identification of its leading citizenry, with remarks on the treatment of alleged religious dissidents by the city itself, and especially on discordant intellectual influences at work in the University, most notably the Law Faculty and the modes of teaching there. The chapter’s second part reviews Bodin’s translation and edition of the Greek poem Cynegetica by Oppian ‘of Cilicia’, assessing the quality of his editorial work, the extent to which allegations of plagiarism levelled against him were valid, and the nature and merits of his translation. The third section recounts contemporary wrangling over educational provision in Toulouse and examines the Oratio in which Bodin argued the case for humanist-style educational provision by means of a reconstituted college there.

This chapter deals with the dependent variable of the study: consent. It analyses workplace consent in Russia and China using three indicators that refer to the core requirements of the production systems in automotive companies regarding employee behavior: first, standardized work; and second, compliance with expectations in terms of flexibility, cooperation, and a commitment to improving processes. The third indicator of consent (or the lack of it) is the absence or presence of open criticism, resistance, and labor disputes. The chapter reveals significant and unexpected differences between the Chinese and Russian sites on all three indicators. While the Chinese factories exhibit (with some variance between the companies), a relatively high level of consent, the Russian plants have problems with standardized work, the acceptance of performance expectations, and to some extent with labor disputes.
