Smart telecoms will deliver lasting improvements to business productivity and enduring consumer benefits that raise the quality of life by enabling telecommuting, telemedicine, entertainment, access to e-government, and a wealth of other online services. And we'll need next-generation digital platforms on which telecom providers can create and deliver all kinds of services. Therefore, this chapter develops a method of data transmission based on discrete event concepts. This methodology was named CBEDE. Using the MATLAB software, the memory consumption of the proposed methodology was evaluated, presenting the great potential to intermediate users and computer systems, ensuring speed, low memory consumption, and reliability. With the differential of this research, the use of discrete events applied in the physical layer of a transmission medium, the bit itself, being this to low-level of abstraction, the results show better computational performance related to memory utilization, showing an improvement of up to 79.89%.

Sharing, transmitting, and storing data has been one of the great needs of today. In the last years, concepts and developed methodologies of cloud computing systems have been improved. This concept created in the 1960s today is present in daily life from ordinary users to even large companies. The present study aims to develop a method of data transmission based on discrete event concepts. This methodology was named CBEDE (by the acronym). The experiments were matched in the MATLAB software simulation environment, where the memory consumption of the proposed methodology was evaluated. Therefore, the CBEDE methodology presents great potential to intermediate users and computer systems, ensuring speed, low memory consumption, and reliability. Being the differential of this research, the use of discrete events applied in the physical layer of a transmission medium, the bit itself, being this to low-level of abstraction, the results show better computational performance related to memory utilization related to the compression of the information, showing an improvement reaching up to 69.93%

To anticipate threats, the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) enables the collection and use of information from various types of attacks to defend an entire network infrastructure. Therefore, this chapter develops a method of data transmission based on discrete event concepts, due to the fact that in this digitally globalized world, networks deal with a huge set of data all the time. Data refers to facts, events, actions, activities, and transactions which have been and can be recorded, i.e., the raw material from which information is produced, nurturing the infrastructure and components that enable modern computing. This methodology was named CBEDE and experiments were matched in the MATLAB software, where the memory consumption was evaluated, presenting great potential to intermediate users and computer systems. Results showed better computational performance related to memory utilization related to the compression of the information, showing an improvement reaching up to 114.39%.

Background: Information systems used in hospitals are slow and consume a lot of system memory, facilitating crashes, impacting patients seeking consultation face long waiting periods by a medical specialist; Still considering that exchange patient data and medical consultations in system interconnected between hospitals, for scheduling of consultations may become even more latent. Methods: Aiming to solve such problems, the present study implements modeling with discrete-event technology applied to a healthcare system, modulating the signal transmitted with the DQPSK format, through the simulation environment, the Simulink of the MATLAB software, improving the transmission of data, through a pre-coding process of bits adopting discrete events in the signal before modulation. Results: This study aims to increase the information capacity for healthcare systems, bringing a new approach for signal transmission, undertaken in the discrete domain employing the discrete entities in the bit generation process, this use being the differential applied on the bit itself, in the physical layer, showing better computational performance regarding memory utilization related to compression of information, showing an improvement of 101.52%.Conclusion: The proposal developed has the properties of improving the capacity of hospital services and can increase the performance of the communication between all medical devices, this positive impact is the result that the data stream will consume fewer communication resources.

The present study aims to implement a discrete event simulation (DES)-based model. This model is called coding of bits for entities by means of discrete events (CBEDE) and aims to improve the transmission of content in wireless telecommunication systems. This is done by applying advanced modulation format DQPSK in a simulation environment, the Simulink of the MATLAB software, through a pre-coding process of bits applying discrete events in the signal before of the modulation process, occurring in the discrete domain with the implementation of discrete entities in the process of bit generation applied at a low level of abstraction in a wireless telecommunication system. The results show improvements of 89.08% in memory utilization, related to information compression, in the context of the research. Therefore, the presented results of the proposed methodology show an enormous potential for the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) contexts, credited as the future 5G, and can compensate for the additional complexity brought by the techniques to the telecommunications channel.

One of the most important healthcare institutions in Iraq is Outpatient clinic that requires a lot of thinking to improve the way to provide services and the nature of care. Outpatient clinics are increasingly keen to meet the needs of care, and this has been recognized as a fundamental issue related to service quality. Therefore, many researchers in various fields have taken this matter as a basis for their research, as it is considered a rich material for research due to the problems these institutions contain. The most important problems faced by outpatient clinics are the waiting time and the insufficient number of clinic staff to perform the various tasks. The aim of this paper is to reduce the waiting time by building a model for the clinic environment, especially dental clinics, and trying to benefit from all the existing medical staff and exploit their experiences. Since the patient spends a long time between registration, returning to the doctor and finally the result or process that the doctor performs, building such a model might help in identifying and improving the problem. The simulation model built in this research for the clinic is based on modelling the discrete events inside the dental clinic using the Arena software. This form is used to assess the quality of services provided by dental outpatient clinics in Iraq.

Political conversation is at the heart of democratic societies, and it is an important precursor of political engagement. As society has become intertwined with the communication infrastructure of the Internet, we need to understand its uses and the implications of those uses for democracy. This chapter provides an overview of the core topics of scholarly concern around online citizen deliberation, focusing on three key areas of research: the standards of quality of communication and the normative stance on citizen deliberation online; the impact and importance of digital platforms in structuring political talk; and the differences between formal and informal political talk spaces. After providing a critical review of these three major areas of research, we outline directions for future research on online citizen deliberation.

Achieving high Quality of Service (QoS) remains a challenge for LoRa technology. However, high QoS can be achieved via optimizing the transmission policy parameters such as bandwidth and code rate. Existing approaches do not provide an opportunity to optimize the LoRa networks' data transmission parameters. The article proposes transmission policy enforcementfor QoS-aware LoRanetworks. The QoSparameter ranking is implemented for IoT nodes where priority and nonpriority information is identified by the new field of LoRa frame structure(QRank). The optimaltransmissionpolicyenforcement uses fast deep reinforcement learning that utilizes the environmental parameters including QRank, signal quality, and signal-to-interference-plus-noise-ratio. The transmission policy is optimized for spreading factor, code rate, bandwidth, and carrier frequency. Performance evaluation is implemented using an NS3.26 LoRaWAN module. The performance is examined for various metrics such as delay and throughput.
