Innovation is one of the most likely factors to boost effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of an organization, regardless of its sector of activity, as for instance, the armed forces. The absence of innovation can affect the organizations in different ways, from suboptimal operational effectiveness and improvement of organization processes (administrative, operational, or logistics), bringing with it negative impacts on human resources motivation – the main keepers of knowledge, institutional culture, and organizational values. Innovative organizations also generate a stronger sense of belonging across their ranks and structures and fosters effectiveness in fulfilling organizations' missions. Hence, fostering innovation across any typology of organization is crucial and requires a proper approach to promote the desirable involvement of the entire workforce. This text, based on a review of some relevant literature, exposes critical enabling factors. Based on a cause-and-effect analysis, it proposes some recommendations for the practitioner as well as the academic.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) causes significant mortality and morbidity, with an unknown impact in the medium to long term. Evidence from previous coronavirus epidemics indicates that there is likely to be a substantial burden of disease, potentially even in those with a mild acute illness. The clinical and occupational effects of COVID-19 are likely to impact on the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces. Collaboration between Defence Primary Healthcare, Defence Secondary Healthcare, Defence Rehabilitation and Defence Occupational Medicine resulted in the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre COVID-19 Recovery Service (DCRS). This integrated clinical and occupational pathway uses cardiopulmonary assessment as a cornerstone to identify, diagnose and manage post-COVID-19 pathology.

Remanufacturing has gained attention from industry, but the literature lacks the scientific comprehension to realize efficient remanufacturing. This hinders a company from commencing or improving remanufacturing efficiently. To fill this gap, the paper proposes a set of practical success factors for remanufacturing. To do so, it analyzes remanufacturing practices in industry through interviews with staff from remanufacturing companies with long experience. The practical success factors are found to be (1) addressing product and component value, (2) having a customer-oriented operation, (3) having an efficient core acquisition, (4) obtaining the correct information, and (5) having the right staff competence. Next, the paper further analyzes remanufacturing processes theoretically with both cause and effect analysis and means-ends analysis. Since the factors show that, among other things, the product/service system (PSS) is highly relevant to remanufacturing in multiple ways, theories on the PSS are partly utilized. As a result, the distinctive nature of remanufacturing underlying in the processes is found to have high variability, high uncertainty and, thus, also complexity. The obtained insights from practice and theory are found to support each other. In addition, a fishbone diagram for remanufacturing is proposed based on the analysis, including seven m's, adding two new m's (marketing and maintenance) on top of the traditional five m's (measurement, material, human, method, and machine) in order to improve customer value. The major contribution of the paper lies in its insights, which are grounded in both theory and practice.

The increasing development of the industry makes every industry have to compete with other competitors to gain an edge. The advantages of competition are influenced by several factors, one of which is good human resource management. Where if a company has good human resources, it will increase profits indirectly and can increase productivity. This research discusses case studies about the potential dangers of IKM Heppy Bakery’s potential dangers that can harm workers in bread production. The method used is Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA). Later, the data will be filled and given a rating distinguished into three parts: severity, occurrence, and detection. The data were obtained through questionnaires given to 3 workers at IKM Heppy Bakery and filled in rating values based on the provisions that have been given to the questionnaire. This Value helps determine the Risk Priority Number (RPN) obtained from multiplication between severity, occurrence, and detection. After processing the RPN multiplication data, the highest RPN value was obtained by 193 with the danger factor of the operator overheating and dehydrating due to high temperatures. Furthermore, the calculation of critical Value was obtained by 109. Based on the critical Value obtained seven hazard factors above the critical value, these seven hazard factors need to be improved so that workers do not avoid accidents when conducting the production process.

The purpose of this study is to assess the human resources sectors of transport, telecom­munications and tourism in a global perspective. This study is a literature study with descriptive analysis method to describe the existing problems and provide recommenda­tions to anticipate the world’s rapidly growing trend. The results show that the increasing mastery of foreign languages and technology has become an absolute requirement that Indonesian human resources can compete on a global level. However, the state, business, and society must work together in forming a mental attitude, promote an understanding of the religion, and raise the nation ideology since early stage so that it can minimize the negative impacts of globalization.

Financial consideration, internal and external influence, personal goal, and educational achievement always influence the decision-making process and behavior of individuals. Using nursing students as the population, the researcher employed the Social Cognitive Career Theory as the theoretical framework to examine the nursing human resources shortages and how would the COVID-19 pandemic influence the experiences, sense of belonging, and career decision-making process of 58 nursing students in South Korea. The researcher categorized the sharing into two groups, which were before the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the changes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results indicated that financial consideration was the significant reason why South Korean nursing students decided to study nursing regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic. More importantly, almost all participants decided to leave the nursing profession due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the consideration between financial factor and personal sacrifice. The outcomes of this study provided a blueprint for human resources professionals, government leaders, policymakers, school leaders, and hospital managers to reform their current curriculum and human resources planning to overcome the potential human resources gaps in the soon future due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
