Key Factors for Green IS Acceptance in Banking Segment

Almost all service organizations are now well aware about global warming and advantages of green information systems (Green IS) in order to gain social and economic profit at the cost of no harmful effect on environment. Recurrent annotations in the literature have explored that for successful Green IS adoption certain keys factors are required to be considered and followed in various organizations. This paper reviews, analyzes, and corroborates 11 key factors empirically that are accountable for successful adoption of Green IS and performance improvement achievement of banking segments with special reference to the banks positioned at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Eleven key factors are identified via in-depth literature review and examined using UTAUT2 and T-O-E models. Analysis of Moment Structure 21.0-Structural Equation Modeling tool is used in the study for data analysis and corroboration. The study will enrich the literature review in this field; also, it will be helpful to the decision makers and practitioners in different segments for successful adoption of Green IS in organizations.

Abstract Entrepreneurial Personality (EP) is a collection of personality traits that broadly and strongly relate to entrepreneurial outcomes across most contexts. The goal of the current article is to address present uncertainties surrounding EP by identifying its dimensions and assessing their relations with entrepreneurial outcomes. Our systematic literature review demonstrates that seven dimensions are commonly used to represent EP: innovativeness, risk-taking, achievement orientation, locus of control, proactiveness, self-efficacy, and autonomy orientation. Via meta-analytic structural equation modeling, we find support for a one-factor model composed of these seven dimensions, suggesting that they indeed represent a unitary construct. Our meta-analysis also supports that EP and its dimensions consistently produce significant relations with entrepreneurial attitudes, intent, status, and performance. EP is thereby supported as an important component of successful entrepreneurial endeavors, and our meta-analytic results provide clear criteria for determining the inclusion of dimensions within the construct of EP – which our seven identified dimensions satisfy.

This study develops a green information system (IS) interpretive model grounded on technology organization environment (TOE) framework to identify the factors that influence Green IS refraction and further examines to what extent these factors impact Green IS refraction in information communications technology (ICT) based firms for corporate ecological responsibility reflection. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among ICT based firms and analyzed using partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that the technological factors significantly influence Green IS refraction. In addition, results suggest that the organizational factors positively influence Green IS refraction. Moreover, results reveal that environmental factors significantly determine the extent of Green IS refraction. Finally, results show that Green IS reflection initiatives implemented in ICT-based firms positively defines corporate ecological responsibility. Respectively, this study offers a comprehensive approach for measuring Green IS practice implemented in ICT based firms.

Using the Belief Action Outcome (BAO) framework as a theoretical basis, this study investigates the mechanisms that link organizational beliefs about environmental sustainability with Green information system (IS) actions that are undertaken and, hence, the organizational benefits accruing from these actions. Survey data were collected from 156 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results support the notion that Green IS endeavors lead to increased organizational benefits. External pressures from stakeholders and employees’ attitudes to environmental sustainability affect the organizational attitude to Green IS. The attitude to Green IS is further translated into the organization’s strategy and corresponding Green IS actions, resulting in organizational benefits. This study’s main contribution lies in establishing a link between personal attitudes, institutional mechanisms, internal environmental/sustainability initiatives, and performance implications. Green IS adoption was empirically validated considering the SME context.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of supply chain integration (SCI) in improving sustainability management practices (SMPs) and performance. Design/methodology/approach Based on data collected from 931 manufacturing firms in multiple countries and regions, the authors conducted a structural equation modeling analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings The findings suggest that supplier and customer integration are vital enablers for both intra- and inter-organizational SMPs. The results also reveal that both intra- and inter-organizational SMPs are significantly and positively associated with sustainability performance (i.e. economic, environmental and social performance) and function as complements to jointly enhance environmental and social performance. Originality/value This study incorporates SCI into the sustainability literature, providing a new perspective on sustainability and supply chain management research.

ABSTRACT This article aims to investigate the relationship between perceptions of the enabling dimension and the technical validity of the management reports of an insurance company and the performance of its sales managers, mediated by the use of these reports. Companies invest resources in providing management reports for business managers to take decisions, so understanding what influences the use of these reports and whether this use is associated with performance constitutes a relevant subject for both academia and professional practice. The results may be useful for organizations that are taking decisions to invest in management reports, showing that technical validity is what best influences the use of these reports, at least in the short term, which is also a contribution to the theory. Secondary data were combined with a survey of 231 respondents from an insurance company and analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique via partial least squares (PLS). The article contributes to the literature and management accounting practice by demonstrating that, unlike in previous studies, the enabling dimension does not positively influence the use of management reports. On the other hand, the study shows that technical validity, which is a more tangible dimension of the quality of management reports, is positively associated with their use and that this use influences the performance of the sales managers. To realize vision and mission of Dishubkominfo Banyumas District one of them are to increase public services in traffic and public transportation. So, Dishubkominfo Banyumas District continues to work to improve the quality of to empower all of the employee so that it will have strong performance and can work with optimally, effective, and efficient. The aims of the research are 1) to describe skills, knowledge, concept of self and values, personal characteristic, organization, commitment, and performance; 2) to describe the influence of skill, knowledge, concept of self and values, and personal characteristic to organization commitment; 3) describe the influence of skills, knowledge, concept of self and values, and personal characteristic to performance; 4) describe the influence of organization commitment to employees performance; 5) describe the influence of skill, knowledge, concept of self and values, and personal characteristic to employees performance through organization commitment. Respondent of this research are 100 people. The respondent are the employees of Dishubkominfo Banyumas District. This research using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which do by AMOS 4.00 as the instrument of analysis. The result of this research prove that fourth coefficient can be conclude that variable concept of self and values more influence to variable organization commitment, compared with skill variable, knowledge variable, and personal characteristic variable. It can be prove with significantly value of p-value is very small (0,001), so the hypothesis which said there is an influence between variable of skill, knowledge, concept of self and values, personal to variable of organization commitment is attested. From that coefficient it can be conclude that concept of self and values variables is more influence to performance variable compared with the other variable.it can be prove with significantly value of p-value on table column O on output program Amos Ver 19, so the p-values is very small (0,001). Therefore, the hypothesis which said there is an influence between variable of skill, knowledge, concept of self and values, and personal characteristic to performance variable on DishubkominfoBanyumas District is attested. Significantly values of p-value on table column P and the output of Amos Program Ver 19, so the p-value is very small (<0,001), so the hypothesis which said there is an influence between organization commitment to performance of Dishubkominfo Banyumas District is attested. Purpose – The research analyzed the determinants (Performance Expectation, Expectation of Effort, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Value and Habit) of the intention and the behavior of using online discount coupons, through UTAUT2 in the Brazilian context. Design/methodology/approach – The survey was adopted with an instrument adapted from Yang (2010) and Christino et al. (2019) validated by experts. Made available online, the instrument collected 309 responses for analysis using the structural equation modeling technique. Findings – The results validated the positive relationships for Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Perceived Value, Habit and Performance Expectation - the highest’s coefficients. The influence of Expectation on Effort and Social Influence has not been validated. Research limitations/implications – The results cannot be generalized to all Brazilian individuals, in addition to considering recognized determinants of international literature. For this reason, suggestions are made for continuing and deepening the research. Practical implications – The results contribute by indicating the main perceptions that lead to the intention and use of discount coupons, which are the performance expectation and the habit. Thus, managers can develop their sales strategies considering such factors while society can establish strategies to more sustainable purchases. Originality/value – The research discusses the determinants of UTAUT2 in the Brazilian context to explain the intention and behavior of using online discount coupons, which are grouped together are unprecedented in Brazilian literature.
