Microbial monitoring of broiler production can provide an important theoretical basis for the prevention and control of animal diseases and reduce the pollution of the environment. In order to investigate the contamination and spread of Campylobacter jejuni in broiler production chain, we collected samples from the broiler farms, slaughterhouse and market of a big production chain in Qingdao, isolated and identified of Campylobacter jejuni. Then we used genotyping method to subtype the isolates. The result showed that C.jejuni were widespread in broiler pruduction chain, and the strains can spread during the production chain, so strengthen the scientific management of the production chain must be implemented. Control in the feeding, processing and preparation before eating of chicken are the important measures in reducing the Campylobacter jejuni infections caused by chicken.

A literature-based review was made to assess the applications of GIS in veterinary epidemiology and its relevance in the prevention and control of animal diseases. GIS is “a powerful set of tools for collecting, retrieving, transforming, and displaying spatial data from the real world”. Overall, a GIS is a platform consisting of hardware, software, data, and people and encompasses a fundamental and universally applicable set of value-added tools for capturing, transforming, managing, analyzing, and presenting information that is geographically referenced. These data can be combined with population data and previous disease records for the prediction of diseases. Applications of GIS are very wide in all human activities. It is used for marketing studies, telecommunications, and the location of restaurants, museums, and hospitals; in tracking truck traffic; in establishing maps of animal population density by species or maps of changes in vegetation; in locating forests, rivers, and mountains and in determining soil compositions. The application of GIS to the veterinary field has been developed over the last decade. Specialized software is becoming more affordable and user friendly. GIS can be applied in veterinary epidemiology for investigation of complex disease problems, GIS is used for early warning systems, for recording and reporting disease information and for planning animal disease prevention and control program. One of the most useful functions of GIS in epidemiology is its utility in basic mapping. It is believed that GIS will play an important role in the control and eradication of epidemic Transboundary Animal Diseases (TADs). Thus training of veterinary staff on GIS, its tools, and applications are highly recommended.

To provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in China, confirmed cases, deaths, and recoveries from COVID-19 in China were predicted using a fractional grey model. The results indicated that the grey model has high forecasting accuracy in the prediction of disease spread.

Used the MarkovTRAIN model, a mining enterprises pneumoconiosis incidence trends is prediced. The result shows that the unit pneumoconiosis development quickly, must strengthen the dust prevention and control. Using LEC method to mine in the workplaces where harm worker healthy environments were evaluated and harm through improved LEC method for scientific management, and put forward effective countermeasures to control, for the prevention of occupational health hazards in mines and puts forward scientific basis for control.

We consider an SIR endemic model in which the contact transmission function is related to the number of infected population. By theoretical analysis, it is shown that the model exhibits the bistability and undergoes saddle-node bifurcation, the Hopf bifurcation, and the Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation. Furthermore, we find that the threshold value of disease spreading will be increased, when the half-saturation coefficient is more than zero, which means that it is an effective intervention policy adopted for disease spreading. However, when the endemic equilibria exist, we find that the disease can be controlled as long as we let the initial values lie in the certain range by intervention policy. This will provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of disease.

<p>In the study, the outbreak of avian influenza was explored analyzed in depth with all the data resources available. It was found that behavior choices and motivations of the animal producers fundamentally depended on their interests and accessing means in the process of animal epidemic disease prevention and control. It was suggested that the government and its sectors should formulate and execute an appropriate compensation system and make compensation timely when there appears an economic impact of major epidemic animal diseases on the producers and the producers’ economic losses are found. Furthermore, the government should take any effective measures to guide and promote the transformation of the conventional modes of livestock production, and lead those farmers and producers to the changed ways of conventional livestock production activities and modes to reduce the probabilities of animal diseases spread and outbreak, especially the infectious diseases like avian influenza.</p>

West Java has been conducting Policy of Large-Scale of Social Restriction (in bahasa Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar or PSBB). However several companies in wide range of industries are allowed to run the production with health protocol that need to be fulfilled by company in order to keep the worker’s health during this pandemic. One of manufacturing companies with 307 workers in Bekasi Regency is still running the production as part of food production chain. As Indonesian Health Ministry Guidelines for Prevention and Control COVID-19 at Office and Industry Workplace during Policy of PSBB need to be fulfilled, the company implements several actions to protect the worker from COVID-19 at workplace environment. At this moment, safety and health management commitment need to be assessed making sure implementation of the guidelines. In order to make sure COVID-19 prevention, there must be implementation evaluation of Guidelines for Prevention and Control of COVID-19 at Office and Industry Workplace during PSBB Policy. Study shows although the finding of low level safety and health management commitment from worker’s perception, majority Guidelines for Prevention COVID-19 at Office and Industry Workplace during PSBB that focus for workplace environment have been facilitated by the management of company.
