. In order to meet the needs about collecting the soil containing tree species, we designed an automatic cutting machine which can receive loam containing seeds and used in the forest loam. Features of this machine are the application of the chain plate knife, not only can hierarchical cut loam containing seeds, but also will transport the loam to the collecting bag. In the design process, through building a mathematical model about the chain plate knife cut soil, Analysis of the resistance of working, and get the relationship between the overall level of resistance and the working width. The experimental results show that the machine is easily to be operated, can highly efficient cut soil, and it’s suitable for use in the woodlands.

A mathematical model is presented and applied to investigate the relationship between the automotive performance and manoeuvring of an armoured vehicle and the probability of its being hit by tank gunfire. The model takes into consideration the type of ammunition, the characteristics of the fire control system and the automotive route of the target. Three cases were examined: a stationary target, an accelerating target and a target moving over a winding course at a constant speed. The model has been calibrated to fit a set of experimental results.

The twiste angle has a great effect on shaping law and stability of Numerical Controlled Electrochemical Machining (NC-ECM) process. In order to avoid the disadvantages caused by twiste angle, a methode of study shaping law by dispersing cathode working face in NC-ECM was proposed, and a mathematical model of the shaping law with the effects of twiste angle has been established in this paper. The mathematical model disclosed the relationship of twiste angle β, feeding velocity vf and thickness of removal material h in NC-ECM. Theoretical and experimental results show the the mathematical model of shaping law described in this paper can be considered as a useful reference and is helpful for the analysis of the NC-ECM and general ECM process.

The paper deals with the creation of a mathematical model of the process of stretching the tape, taking into account the tension of the thread. For this purpose, the relationship between the thread tension and the speed of expression of the electric drives is determined. The proposed mathematical model of the process allows one to synthesize highly efficient control systems for spinning equipment.

This paper develops a new type of flexible finger employing the pneumatic flexible joints base on the modular design concept. In this work, the mathematical model of the grasping force of the flexible finger is derived and analyzed on the relationship between the air pressure and the grasping force. Further the grasping force experiments of finger using dynamometer and acquire the normal pressure of the finger with different combinations ventilation of joints are conducted, Also, the experimental results are compared with the theoretical results, which confirm the validity of the presented model.

The article shows that knowledge of the site of a particular forest stand, together with research results and experience, can provide information that is important for the cultivation of mountain forests, including knowledge of the composition of the tree species and the structure and growth capacity of natural forest. Furthermore, certain sites can, thus, be characterized by factors that influence restocking, such as snow mould, lush ground vegetation or low temperature. The guidelines«minimale Pflegemassnahmen» – «Minimal tending of protection forests» (WASSER und FREHNER, 1996) are based on this principle. For individual sites, warnings about natural dangers such as rock fall or statements concerning nature conservation can be made (e.g., the occurrence of tree species, suitability as a biotope for Capercaille). In conclusion, two research projects on the relationship between site and natural dangers will be presented.

By means of simulated tests of a laboratory–scale oxidation pond model, the relationship between BOD5 and temperature fluctuation was researched. Mathematical modelling for the pond's performance and K1determination were systematically described. The calculation of T–K1–CeCe/Ci) was complex but the problem was solved by utilizing computer technique in the paper, and the mathematical model which could best simulate experiment data was developed. On the basis of experiment results, the concept of plug–ratio–coefficient is also presented. Finally the optimum model recommended here was verified with the field–scale pond data.

This paper introduces a mathematical model for Pulse-Width Modulated Amplifier for DC Servo Motor. The relationship between pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal and reference rotation speed is specified, and a general model of motor represented by transfer function is also put forward. When the input signal changes, the rotation speed of the servo motor will change accordingly. By changing zeros and poles, transient performance of this system is discussed in detail, and optimal ranges of the parameters is recommended at the end of discussion.

The  forest of Halle (560 ha), situated 20 km south of Brussels is covered by a  beech (Fagus sylvatica)  forest, locally mixed with secundary species (Tilia,  Fraxinus, Acer, Quercus,... ). In almost all  stands, herbal vegetation is dominated by bluebell (Hyacinthoides  non-scripta).     The research intended to classify 36 plots of different tree species  composition according to their site quality. Three classification methods  were compared: the first one based on the indicator value of the understorey  vegetation, a second one on the humus morphology and a last one on some  quantitative soil characteristics. According to the plant sociological site  classification, the plots have the same site quality. However, humus forms  differ apparently and significant differences were found in pH value and base  cation saturation of the soil, abundance and biomass of earthworms and  biomass of the ectorganic horizon. Tree species proved to be the main cause  of these differences.     The results illustrate that the herbal vegetation is not always a reliable  indicator of site quality. In the case of a homogeneous vegetation dominated  by one or more indifferent species, classification on humus morphology or  soil analysis are more appropriate. In the forest of Halle, the tree species  is probably the main cause of the observed differences in site quality.
