The Enlightenment

The application of information technology in college English education becomes an unavoidable trend nowadays. How to make good use of multimedia instruction is the focus of discussion. This paper consists of four parts. To begin with, an experiment was done to disclose the positive effects of information technology, and the negative effects were also pointed out. The current situation of the application was shown by the questionnaire. Finally, measures are proposed in order to solve the existing problems. Besides multimedia instruction, the enlightenment of Constructivism Learning Theory deserves to be taken into consideration.

The rapid development of information technology has provided a new opportunity for the development of college English teaching in China. Under the background of informationization, the reform of college English teaching can meet the students' demand for individualized and differentiated learning. This paper analyzes the current situation of college English teaching and English teaching mode of information technology, and puts forward the strategy of English teaching reform under the background of informationization, in order to improve students’ English proficiency in all aspects and promote the rapid development of English education and teaching in colleges and universities.

This paper aims to seek strategies to cultivate information literacy for college English teachers by means of information technology. After analyzing the connotation and significance of information literacy, a questionnaire about the current situation of college English teachers’ information literacy was conducted in three universities. According to the statistics, the paper comes up with five feasible strategies. Putting information awareness in the first place; establishing resource corpus for college English teachers; making good use of campus network; updating multimedia equipment and introducing technical training contribute to the development of information literacy for college English teachers.

The development of our country’s financial industry can not do without new information technology. In this information age, all industries require the application of information technology. The arrival of the information age not only affects human life, but also promotes the effective development of economy and brings a lot of help to the development of financial economy. The imperfect construction of financial information management leads to a series of problems, which limits the progress of the construction of financial informatization. This article briefly introduces the current situation and existing problems of the construction of financial management informatization, puts forward reasonable and effective solving strategies to promote our country’s construction of financial management informatization.

The aim of this research was to analyze the effect of using Mobile Phone and Internet concerning to the students morality, great efforts of family (parents), teachers (school) and society to protect students from the bad effects of mobile phone use and ideal solution towards the students morality, particularly students at SMA N 3 Kota Kupang. This research used a qualitative description method. Data of this research were gathered from 10 students who usually used mobile phone at class, counseling teachers, citizenship teachers, members of school extracurricular organization, students’ parents, religious scholars and society figures by interview, observation, and documentation technique. The result of this research showed that using mobile phone and internet have positive and negative effects towards the students morality. The positive effects of mobile phone could be used effectively and efficiently as the tool of communication, particularly when communicating  to others in a long distance. Further we could make online communication which allowed us to get any information on communication and information technology.

English is a very important skill. Learning English well is no longer an optional skill, it can improve the students' overall quality. The 21st century is an era of knowledge and information. Modern science and technology based on information technology has inspired profound changes in the world, including college education. Information literacy is an intrinsic element that often plays an important role in teaching and school management. In the information age, how to improve college teachers’ information literacy has become a major issue in the development of college education. This paper focuses on the study of college English teachers’ information literacy. It first studies the basic connotation of information literacy of college teachers which covers information awareness, information knowledge, and information ability. Then this paper takes college English teachers in North China Electric Power University as the research object, and adopts questionnaire survey and literature research to analyze the current situation of the information literacy of college English teachers. Based on the analysis of the basic connotation of teachers’ information literacy, and the current situation of college English teachers’ information literacy, this paper puts forward three strategies for improving college English teachers’ information literacy: enhancing college English teachers’ self-development consciousness, making use of group dynamics, and perfecting modern information technology training system.

The influence of globalization with the support of information technology is a double-edged sword. on the one hand, we cannot deny the benefits and threats it brings on the other. Thus, these benefits are also called positive effects and threats are called negative effects. The positive influence that can be felt by Information Technology is an increase in speed, accuracy and convenience. It provides efficiency in various fields, especially in terms of time, energy and costs. For example, the manifestation of Information Technology that is easily seen around us is email where sending a letter only takes a short time. Information technology is also utilized in the field of economic activities such as E-banking, E-commerce, e-shopping and many more. Meanwhile, the negative impact that may arise as a result of information technology is pornography, while the economic aspect of globalization is the opening of free markets that allow foreign products to enter easily. The large number of foreign products and the addition of relatively cheaper prices can reduce the attractiveness of domestic products. This is a big challenge for SMEs in business competition. Financial fraud and embezzlement through electronic media are also rife so it is necessary to learn how to do business online. With this background, there is a need for guidance on how to deal with developments in information technology. As many as 93% of the responses from the community stated that they were very good and useful.
