Design of the Control Circuit Based on FPGA for the Underwater Trash Detection System

For the detection of underwater trashes, the ultrasonic detection system is a necessary deceive. In the traditional ultrasonic detection system, echo signal is generally processed by analog circuit, and only the distance information is obtained. In order to determine the distance and material of target, the amplitude of echo wave also need to be extracted, and FPGA is employed to control high-speed AD and process data. The design of control circuit based on FPGA is presented here. The control circuit includes modules of clock, high-speed data processing, communication and transmitting control. On the basis of the system design, simulation, implementation, the system experiments are completed. The results show: the functions of the control circuit based on FPGA are implemented correctly, but the system power consumption needs to be reduced more.

This paper presents CU-Track, a multi-camera framework for real-time multi-object tracking. The developed framework includes a processing unit, the target object, and the multi-object tracking algorithm. A PC-cluster has been developed as the processing unit of the framework to process data in real-time. To setup the PC-cluster, two PCs are connected by using PCI interface cards that memory can be shared between the two PCs to ensure high speed data transfer and low latency. A novel mechanism for PC-to-PC communication is proposed. It is realized by a dedicated software processing module called the Cluster Module. Six processing modules have been implemented to realize system operations such as camera calibration, camera synchronization and 3D reconstruction of each target. Multiple spherical objects with the same size are used as the targets to be tracked. Two configurations of them, active and passive, can be used for tracking by the system. The algorithm based on Kalman filter and nearest neighbor searching is developed for multi-object tracking. Two applications have been implemented on the system, which confirm the validity and effectiveness of the developed framework.

Abstract. Although there is an increase of performance in DSPs, due to its nature of execution a DSP could not perform high-speed data processing on a continuous data stream. In this paper we discuss the hardware implementation of the amplitude and phase detector and the validation block on a FPGA. Contrary to the software implementation which can only process data stream as high as 1.5 MHz, the hardware approach is 225 times faster and introduces much less latency.

Deformation occurred in the bridge usage process due to the effort of self and external load. These deformations generally occurred in the absolute and relative position change of self and co-component including displacement, settlement, bending, distortion etc. The scope of this paper is to design a bridge geometry detection program system which using based on online PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). In the high speed data acquisition model, it can acquire the data of deflection, horizontal and vertical alignment, horizontal displacement in a real-time and digital way. In the data analysis module, it can evaluate the bridge safety and generate testing report through the comparison of the corresponding curves between the displacement and working positions.

Bandwidth limitation is a vital problem for high-speed data transmission in logging cable telemetry systems (LCTSs). This paper proposes a frequency compensation method with an analog circuit design, possessing high flexibility and robustness. Analytical expressions are derived for the relationship between pole-zero and gain, deviations caused by high temperature; and are then verified via simulation. To address the efficacy of the circuit design, a real case with low computation complexity and high accuracy is proposed and employed. The case of a 7[Formula: see text]km LCTS shows frequency compensation with a 200% bandwidth expansion — from 160[Formula: see text]kHz at [Formula: see text]55[Formula: see text]dB of the original cable to 300[Formula: see text]kHz at [Formula: see text]3[Formula: see text]dB — and a 60[Formula: see text]dB improvement in high frequency gain. After comparing the signals with and without compensation, the improvements in transmission performance by the proposed pre-emphasis circuit and equalizer are confirmed.

According to the problem that the existing data interpolation algorithm has low efficiency when handling high-speed data, this paper proposes a FPGA-based FIR sine interpolation algorithm based on pipeline and parallel technology. The algorithm not only reduces the critical path so that improve the system working clock effectively, but also increases the speed of data processing to improve the speed of interpolation process significantly. Finally, according to the experiment based on FPGA, the result shows that the proposed algorithm improves the speed of data interpolation process, and reduces the system power consumption effectively. It can realize the real-time interpolation process of high-speed or hyper-speed data stream.

Indosat ready to seize opportunities for sustainable growth of business spectrum are still sprawling Indonesia.    Therefore, Indosat continues to focus on the development of increased efforts to provide the best service for customers of Indosat. Indosat will continue to develop and expand network coverage and a larger investment that the company will achieve excellence in the field of integrated telecommunications services.    Ranking by region of the IP Providers can be seen by grouping IP Providers, and management over IP Providers prefer to choose providers based on where it orginates as an example for the region of the U.S if it will be preferred providers that come from U.S. providers.With the commencement of the internet network optimization start early in 2008 with the selection of the appropriate IP Upstream Provider criteria, it is up to date according to data obtained from Indosat, seen any significant changes to the cost of purchasing capacity of the IP Upstream.    Based on the data obtained that until Q3 or September 2008, the number of IP Upstream Providers that previously there were 20 to 10 IP Upstream Provider, IP Transit Price total decrease of 11% to the price of IP Transit Price / Mbps there is a decrease of 78%, while from the capacity bandwith an increase of 301% capacity from 2008.

Optical networks are bandwidth efficient networks are used for long haul communication providing seamless data transfer. For high speed data transmission in open space between different satellites, Inter-satellite Optical wireless communication (IsOWC) is widely used .In this paper we have evaluated the performance of IsOWC communication link for high speed data transmission .The performance of the system is evaluated on the basis of qualitative parameters such as Q-factor and BER using optisystem simulator.
