Offset paper properties have great influence on the quality of print matter. Eleven offset paper samples were printed by IGT printability tester, then the density and L*a*b values of printed samples were measured. The relationship between paper properties and optical density or color gamut of paper printed was studied. The results show that main density increases with the increased ink quantity before the main density reaches saturation, the saturation density becomes greater with increased ink absorbency. When the smoothness is larger, lower ink quantity is needed for reaching saturation density, and larger color gamut is obtained. This study will provide references for the paper making and printing enterprises.

In the last two decades psychiatrists in liaison work have asked nonpsychiatrists to accept a greater role in the management of mental illness, sponsoring educational programs and offering consultative services to provide assistance in diagnosis and management of patients. The triadic doctor-doctor-patient relationship and transference-countertransference phenomena often have more influence on the consultation process and the effectiveness of didactic methods than real problems like the degree of availability of consultants. Such factors as 1) the circumstances of the choice of medicine as a profession, 2) the special meaning of the choice of specialty, and 3) personality factors have great influence upon the relationship between the consultant and the consultee, the quality of the consultation, and the effectiveness of educational methods used in liaison psychiatry. The results of an attitudinal survey of fifty physicians, conducted to explore conscious motivations for choosing the medical profession, attitudes toward consultation process, and less conscious elements such as fears of illness or death are discussed as a basis for understanding the consultation process and designing effective continuing education programs on the psychosocial aspects of medical care. An important implication of the study is the need to question the ways in which nonpsychiatrists are encouraged and expected to assume more responsibility for the care of patients with emotional problems.

In the chemical mechanical polishing process, the relationship of relative motion of polishing pad and polishing head plays very important role for CMP quality. This paper established the mathematical model in order to investigate the relative motion of polishing pad and polishing head. It was found that the speed ratio of polishing pad and polishing head shows great influence on the CMP uniformity. And when the value of speed ratio of relative rotation approaches 1.23, the distribution of abrasives’ trajectories is close and uniform. Theoretically, the surface quality of workpiece is better.

With the technical progress in the fields of imaging and printing device, multilevel imaging and screening technologies are applied increasingly. The application of these technologies in printing field, which is as an information channel, can expand capability of information transfer. In order to obtain the characteristics of information transfer in image reproduction, in which multilevel screening technology is applied, the relationship among optical density, dot area and dot density is constructed. According to the basic definitions of information content and of information entropy, the relationship between information content/entropy and gray levels of screening dot is analyzed. Furthermore, multilevel FM screening images, which are with 4 levels, 8 levels and 16 levels and generated by a program, are analyzed and compared with bi-level screened images. The results show, that under lower imaging resolution, multilevel screening can achieve higher count of tone levels and information entropy. It is significant for the improvement of the capability of information transfer and reproduction quality of image.

During the process of laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) printing, the energy of heat input have a great influence on the quality of fabricated specimens. In this paper, based on the heat transfer and metallurgical mechanism, a theoretical predicting model of the required laser energy to fabricate high-density LPBF components was established. The theoretical required laser energy density of AlSi10Mg, TC4 and 316L were calculated, which are 51.74 J/mm3, 104.48 J/mm3 and 69.28 J/mm3, respectively. By comparing with the experimental results in the references, it was found that the errors between them are within 10%. In addition, this article discussed the relationship between the VED and the specimen defects, and found that the changing in the VED will alter the types of specimen defects.

Purpose – This paper aims to investigate the effect of paper properties (whiteness, gloss and roughness) on colour laser printing quality. Paper characteristics have a significant influence on print quality and are crucial variables for predicting and reproducing colour. Design/methodology/approach – Six kinds of paper with different properties were selected and the effects of the paper characteristics on the printed paper were studied. Samples were printed with cyan, magenta and yellow toner with a laser printer under identical conditions. The papers and printed papers were evaluated with atomic force microscope, scanning electron microscope, gloss-meter, spectrophotometer and densitometer. Findings – Results showed that print quality is statistically dependent on paper type, and the average optical density of printed paper varied for different papers. Furthermore, the increase in the roughness and gloss of the papers in comparison to whiteness more significantly affected the optical density of paper by reducing it. Practical implications – To achieve high-quality print, laser printing paper and toner require controlled characteristics. Originality/value – For the first time, the present study evaluated the influence of paper properties on the quality of colour laser printing.

Abstract. Recently, Garfinkel and Critchley (2013) proposed to distinguish between three facets of interoception: interoceptive sensibility, interoceptive accuracy, and interoceptive awareness. This pilot study investigated how these facets interrelate to each other and whether interoceptive awareness is related to the metacognitive awareness of memory performance. A sample of 24 healthy students completed a heartbeat perception task (HPT) and a memory task. Judgments of confidence were requested for each task. Participants filled in questionnaires assessing interoceptive sensibility, depression, anxiety, and socio-demographic characteristics. The three facets of interoception were found to be uncorrelated and interoceptive awareness was not related to metacognitive awareness of memory performance. Whereas memory performance was significantly related to metamemory awareness, interoceptive accuracy (HPT) and interoceptive awareness were not correlated. Results suggest that future research on interoception should assess all facets of interoception in order to capture the multifaceted quality of the construct.

The scientific problem of economics “Managing the quality of human life” is formulated on the basis of artificial intelligence, algebra of logic and logical-probabilistic calculus. Managing the quality of human life is represented by managing the processes of his treatment, training and decision making. Events in these processes and the corresponding logical variables relate to the behavior of a person, other persons and infrastructure. The processes of the quality of human life are modeled, analyzed and managed with the participation of the person himself. Scenarios and structural, logical and probabilistic models of managing the quality of human life are given. Special software for quality management is described. The relationship of human quality of life and the digital economy is examined. We consider the role of public opinion in the management of the “bottom” based on the synthesis of many studies on the management of the economics and the state. The bottom management is also feedback from the top management.
