This research study assembly process of a study of Wood Joints with Motion Time Study MTM-2 (Methods Time Measurement-2) and DFA (Design for Assembly) an assessment of the ability to assembly in the Feeding and Fitting. with LUCAS Assembly Evaluation Method for the results of the assessment and find the good-bad points of the assessment was applied. Wood Joint Index for this analysis is the feeding and fitting should not exceed 2.5 The pivot of the three groups in terms of feeding Index did not exceed 2.5 The advantages of the assessments, when applied to the wood. In general, the nature of Wood Joints must rely on to tool help in almost all assemble of the joints. Each tool is the difficulty of performing it. And in the Entrance of the parts are in a bad score. Tolerance in the 0.2 to 0.3 mm at the Wood Joint this is limitation is that the scores of these problems. So both of these topics for Wood Joints may be more table to the assessment more accurate and led to the development process for next time.

Abstract We present the outcomes of a collaborative research programme tasked with reducing bycatch, and thus discards in a temperate Australian prawn trawl fishery. Sea trials in the Gulf of St Vincent, South Australia, assessed the performance of a modified trawlnet that incorporated a rigid polyethylene grid and a T90-mesh codend. Compared with conventional designs, the modified net yielded marked reductions in bycatch (cumulatively >81% by weight), with pronounced decreases in sponge (92%), elasmobranchs (80%), teleost fish (71%), molluscs (61%), and crustaceans (78%). Using commercial logbook data, we estimate that the use of modified nets could reduce discards by ∼240 tons per year. This outcome was achieved with moderate declines in the catch rate (kg h−1) of the target species, Western King Prawn (mean ∼15%), of which almost all were small adults of low commercial value. Adoption of the modified net by industry was realized in March 2012, because it met environmental objectives (i.e. reducing bycatch and improving public perceptions of sustainability), reduced prawn damage, demonstrated commensurate financial returns, and engaged stakeholders throughout the development process. Overall, the project provides a useful example of bycatch research with demonstrable outcomes of improving the ecological and economic sustainability of prawn harvests.

Abstract In support of the effort to bring downstream issues to the attention of the designer as parts take shape, an analysis system is being built to extract certain features relevant to the assembly process, such as the dimension, shape, and symmetry of an object. These features can be applied to a model during the downstream process to evaluate handling and assemblability. In this paper, we will focus on the acquisition phase of the assembly process and employ a Design for Assembly (DFA) evaluation to quantify factors in this process. The capabilities of a non-homogeneous, non-manifold boundary representation geometric modeling system are used with an Index of Difficulty (ID) that represents the dexterity and time required to assemble a product. A series of algorithms based on the high-level abstractions of loop and link are developed to extract features that are difficult to orient, which is one of the DFA criteria. Examples for testing the robustness of the algorithms are given. Problems related to nearly symmetric outlines are also discussed.

Accurate QRS detection is an important first step for almost all automatic electrocardiogram (ECG) analyzing systems. However, QRS detection is difficult, not only because of the wide variety of ECG waveforms but also because of the interferences caused by various types of noise. This study proposes an improved QRS complex detection algorithm based on a four-level biorthogonal spline wavelet transform. A noise evaluation method is proposed to quantify the noise amount and to select a lower-noise wavelet detail signal instead of removing high-frequency components in the preprocessing stage. The QRS peaks can be detected by the extremum pairs in the selected wavelet detail signal and the proposed decision rules. The results show the high accuracy of the proposed algorithm, which achieves a 0.25% detection error rate, 99.84% sensitivity, and 99.92% positive prediction value, evaluated using the MIT-BIT arrhythmia database. The proposed algorithm improves the accuracy of QRS detection in comparison with several wavelet-based and non-wavelet-based approaches.

Heuristic evaluation is one of the most used techniques to evaluate the level of usability of a software product. In this research, we performed a comprehensive analysis of the recent studies which report the use of this method in the context of a software development process. The purpose was to identify the specific way in which each author performs this usability evaluation method, in order to propose a formal protocol. After an indeed examination of these studies, we have determined there are several differences in the way this technique is conducted according to the literature. There is no agreement about the number of inspectors that should participate, the usability principles that should be used, the profile of the specialists who must be part of the assessment team, or the evaluation process that should be followed. This work highlights the available settings and a detailed procedure to perform a heuristic evaluation in the domain of software products.

The valuation of an entity in off-exchange transactions involves the use of different techniques. Nevertheless, none of them guarantees the most accurate result. Therefore, it is very difficult to choose one evaluation method. Both investors, corporate managers, financial professionals, portfolio managers, and securities analysts should have a basic understanding of the process of evaluating companies. To that end, professionals recommend evaluating a company’s financial reports to detect its financial position and solvency. According to the methods of financial analysis, working capital is one of the solvency ratios, which describes the value of resources that remain after the company’s current liabilities have been bared. The research study is aimed at determining the impact of changes in working capital on the valuation of a company. In order to achieve the aim and confirm or deny the hypothesis, the methodological basis for the research study was developed, necessary information was collected, calculations were performed using data from companies listed on Nasdaq OMX Riga, and the obtained results were analysed. Literature review and economic and statistical analysis, including the SPSS method for assessing the effects of working capital and stock price, were used in the research.

The article contains a survey of some aspects of experiences teaching students with intellectual disabilities. It emphasizes the learning problems, discusses the issues of planning and individualization of teaching/learning substance, points out the most popular methods of teaching geography and nuances of communication and cooperation with other interested persons. Generalization of investigation data showed that almost all interrogated persons work with children with special needs. The majority of respondents seek solutions of the mentioned problems individually. They mainly communicate with their colleagues and students’ parents and individualize the teaching substance and tasks on their own. Their solutions usually are based on teaching aids designed for implementation of the general teaching programs. For complementary information, they usually address the internet sources or attend special courses, seminars and conferences. Most of geography teachers working with children with intellectual disabilities use both classic and active teaching/learning techniques and formal and informal evaluation applying oral and written interrogation methods. According to the obtained data, the teachers of geography, who participated in the interrogation, give priority to teaching skills of geography and all general competencies. It should be noted that generalization of the survey data highlighted some negative aspects of the work with students with intellectual disabilities. It was determined that during the lessons most of the interrogated teachers do not apply evaluation/self-evaluation method and use written quizzes alone. They scored own experience of working with children with special needs to 2–3 points and pointed out lack of competence. Unfortunately, few geography teachers think that students with intellectual disabilities should not be trained at comprehensive schools.

Indonesia is a country that is familiar and closely related to Arabic. Therefore, learning this language becomes an important thing. This research was aimed to explain the development process and the validity level of Application of Arabic-Indonesian Expression Dictionary for Deaf (Akuarintar) as a media in Arabic teaching and learning for students at SMALB YPTB Malang. This research and development method used the ADDIE model which included Assessment/Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the validity test were the language validation test showed the proportion of 83%. The results of material validation were 89%, while the results of media design validation were 87%, and the results of teacher validation were 87%. The results of the Wilcoxon Rank Tests analysis obtained a significance value of p = 0.001 and z = -3.453, which means that the students score of Arabic learning significantly increased after using the Akuarintar application. So, it can be concluded that Akuarintar is very suitable as a media for teaching and learning Arabic for the deaf.
