Ultra-small Chip Power Inductors play an important role in the new TFT-LCD, OLED and other display equipment and other high-end electronic equipment, there are many problems in the traditional power inductors, design and manufacture the small inductor has a very important significance, from small-scale processing, positioning assembly processing, and combine surface and the point welding processing, a whole forming handle, bulk welding and bulk dispensing processing six aspects in designing and manufacturing, practice has proved that take this design, suitable for mass production, can greatly improve the productive efficiency.

Recent interest in the mass production of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae has resulted in many studies being generated. However, a majority of the studies are benchtop, or small-scale, experiments. Results generated from such studies may not translate to large-scale/industrial production. The current study was conducted at a conventional large-scale (10,000 larvae/treatment fed seven kg) to determine the impact on selected life-history traits when BSF were fed seven kg of manure (swine, dairy, or poultry) or a control diet (Gainesville diet: 50% wheat bran, 30% alfalfa meal, and 20% corn). Results showed larvae fed dairy manure took one to two days longer to develop to prepupation, with lower survivorship (45%) compared to those fed poultry or swine manure (>70%). Furthermore, the maximum larval weight was reached on day six for those fed swine manure, while other treatments achieved the maximum weight on day seven. However, larvae fed swine manure averaged 150 mg, while those fed the other diets ranged between 175 and 200 mg. Data from this study may be valuable for the industrialization of BSF. Companies using a scale varying from previously published work, including this study, should conduct pilot studies to optimize their system prior to implementation.

AbstractSince the 1930s turkey production in the United Kingdom has been transformed from a small scale, seasonal activity catering exclusively for the Christmas market, to an intensive mass production sector dominated by all year round producers, of which Bernard Matthews is the best known. This revolution in production methods reflects improved methods of disease control, enhanced nutritional understanding, and the development of more productive strains of turkeys with better conformation. These supply side changes have been accompanied by a succession of very successful marketing campaigns to persuade consumers of the merits of eating turkey throughout the year. This article investigates the reasons for the commercialisation of the turkey industry since the 1930s.

Based on data from PLN, in 2020 the number of PLN customers has reached 77,19 million or increase of 3.59 million customers compared to 2019 which amounted to 73,6 million customers. Along with modernization in Indonesia, without realizing it there is still a lot of wasted electrical energy from electronic devices that are left on standby and not used or electric vampires. The purpose of this research created a tool to overcome the problem of electric vampires in electronic equipment in order to reduce the number of losses below the national electric losses of 8%. The implementation method used for the design and manufacture of the Electric Vampire Remover is the Research and Development (R&D) research method. The steps taken are: 1) analysis of tool requirements, 2) design of tool, 3) manufacture of tool in the laboratory, 4) testing of tool functions and performance, 5) concluding the results. These stages are conducted in cycles to get the best result. The result of the research is the creation of an Electric Vampire Remover which is functionally proven to be able to control electrical equipment properly. This tool can be operated stand-alone or based on internet network. The results showed that the tool was able to reduce losses caused by electric vampires by 99%. The application of this tool at home is able to save 36,908 kWh which is equivalent to Rp. 53,320.99/month in the fare class or R-1/1300 VA power.

The flexible laser micromilling technology for ceramic MEMS producing of microhotplate in the surface mounted device (SMD) package for the metal oxide (MOX) gas sensors is describing. There are discusses technological and economic aspects of small-scale production of gas MOX sensors in comparison with classical clean room technologies using for mass production MEMS devices. The main technical factors affecting on using MOX sensors in various applications are presented. Current results demonstrate that using described technology possible to manufacturing all parts of MOX gas sensor in the SMD form-factor SOT-23 package type.

Rural industrialization is often seen as a characteristic feature of Chinese socialism, under both Mao and his successors. It is less often recognized that rural industrialization did not start from scratch: the pre-1949 Chinese countryside was already industrialized to a considerable degree, though most rural industries were unmechanized “proto-industries” – small-scale, decentralized, and household-based. Modernizing governments, including both the Kuomintang and CCP regimes, tended to see such industries as obstacles on their march towards industrial modernity, understood as mass production in urban factories. This article focuses on one particular industry, handicraft papermaking in Jiajiang county, Sichuan. It argues that Maoist policies, with their emphasis on local grain self-sufficiency, discriminated against communities that depended on specialized production and exchange. To the extent that these communities had specialized in crafts in order to compensate for an inhospitable natural environment (as was the case in many upland areas), Maoist policies penalized the already disadvantaged – with sometimes disastrous consequences.

Go-kart is a variant of a simple and small open-roof four-wheeled vehicle for motor sports. Go-kart usually races on small scale circuits. Go-kart racing is usually considered a stepping stone for motor sports that are higher and more expensive. The design of the karts is carried out by mechanical engineering students of the University of Riau based on the size of karts in general. The chassis is made of pipe with ASTM A53 pipe specifications with a tensile strength of 240 MPa with a dimension of length of 6.22 meters, an outer diameter of 33.40 mm and an inner diameter of 30.02 mm. Body building is done with fiber with a catalyst mixture ratio of 1:45. The process of painting with a ratio of primers and hardeners is 1: 4, and clear and hardener 4: 1. A kart with a chassis mass of 7.09 kg and a passenger of 70 kg has been produced, with dimensions of length 1100 mm, width of 610 mm, and distance between axes of 1050 mm. This karting uses the 1994 Astra grand engine with 7.5 HP of power, 6000 rpm rotation and 20 kg mass. The transmission system used is a double automatic type.
