In this paper, 0.95K0.5Na0.5NbO3-0.05LiTaO3 ceramics were synthesized by conventional mixed-oxide technique. To clarify the optimal sintering condition, three kinds of different temperature conditions were used. It was found that the samples sintered near 1130 °C had the best piezoelectric properties (d33~155 pC/N). In addition, sintering aid such as K5.4C1.3Ta10O29 was investigated to confirm whether it really benefited to the sintering process and increased the piezoelectric property of ceramics.

Lead-free piezoelectric ceramic 0.48Ba[Zr0.2Ti0.8]O3 - 0.52[Ba0.7Ca0.3]TiO3 (BZT-BCT) with a nanostructure was manufactured by traditional ceramic technology. Nanostructure and the sintering aid reduce the calcinating temperature as well as the sintering temperature and some electrical properties of BZT-BCT ceramics systems are researched. The results show that they can reduce the calcinating and sintering temperatures of ceramics systems from 1250 0C and 1450 0C to 1170 0C and 1350 0C. Moreover, the piezoelectric properties of the 0.48BZT - 0.52BCT at the optimal calcinating and sintering temperature will be discussed in detail.

In this paper, the effects of different sintering temperature on the microstructure and piezoelectric properties of Pb(Nb2/3Zn1/3)0.03(Zr52Ti48)0.97O3(PNZZT) ceramic samples were investigated. The Pb(Nb2/3Zn1/3)0.03(Zr52Ti48)0.97O3 ceramics materials was prepared by a conventional mixed oxide method. In the period of the experiment, the relationship between crystallographic phase and microstructure were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) respectively. The XRD patterns shows that all of the ceramic samples are with a tetragonal perovskite structure. Along with sintering temperature increased and the x is 0.03, the grain size gradually become big. Through this experiment, it has been found that when the x is 0.03 and sintered at 1130°C for 2 h, the grains grow well, the grain-boundary intersection of the sample combined well and the porosity of the ceramics decreased, an excellent comprehensive electrical properties of the Pb(Nb2/3Zn1/3)0.03(Zr52Ti48)0.97O3 samples can be obtained. Its best electrical properties are as follows: dielectric constant (ε) is 1105, dielectric loss(tg) is 0.017, electromechanical coupling coefficient (Kp) is 0.287, piezoelectric constant(d33) is 150PC/N

The microstructure, physical, dielectric and the piezoelectric characteristics of the (K0.5Na0.5) (Nb0.9Ta0.1) O3 (KNNT) ceramics as a function of the sintering temperature and Nd2O3 dopant were inspected in this work. It was found that the sintering temperature has a significant impact on the above-mentioned properties. In the same context, the addition of HYPERLINK "https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/Neodymium_oxide" neodymium oxide led to remarkable improvement in the microstructure, density, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of KNNT ceramics when compared to undoped ceramics.

YAG materials have a number of unique properties, the application is very extensive, the burn is due to the temperature is too high or the residence time at high temperatures is caused. The undercurrent is the sintering temperature is too low or the holding time is not enough, resulting in product performance is too low or too small shrinkage. In this paper, the effect of sintering temperature on properties of YAG porous ceramics was investigated. The results showed that the firing temperature of the ingredients will be different and cause the same sintering process and sintering additives content of different samples burned. The increase in the content of SiO2 in the furnish with the sintering aid tends to occur. the effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of the samples after sintering was significant, so the raw materials include 60wt%YAG, 10wt% CaO, 10wt% SiO2 and 20wt% soluble starch, the molding process in 20MPa pressure 10min, the sintering at 1500°C for 2h, the sample porosity is 42.2%, the compressive strength is 5.8MPa, the outside shape is keep intact and the better pore microstructure is shown.

This research was conducted to improve the ferroelectric properties of PZT based ceramics by studying the effect of sintering conditions in terms of temperature and soaking time (time of sintering) on the ferroelectric properties of ceramics in the 0.8Pb (Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3-0.2Pb (Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 system prepared by vibro-milling mixed-oxide method. The XRD patterns of specimens showed perovskite structure for all compositions. The pyrochlore phase was not observed in this system. The sintering temperature and soaking time affects the ferroelectric properties of ceramics by the optimum sintering condition for 0.8PZT-0.2PZN ceramic is sintered at 1250°C for 2h.

In this study, the effect of sintering temperature on the properties of tungsten-copper (W-Cu) composite produced by liquid phase sintering (LPS) process has been investigated. W-20 wt.% Cu composite powders with particle size less than 1 μm was prepared by cold compaction and followed by cold isostatic pressing. The green specimens were then sintered under nitrogen based atmosphere in the temperature range of 1100°C to 1300°C. The sintering studies were conducted to determine the extent of densification and corresponding to microstructure changes. In addition, the properties of the sintered specimens such as physical appearance, microstructure evolution, mechanical and electrical properties were presented and discussed.

In this work, the piezoelectric material system of Pb (Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 ceramics were synthesized by conventional solid state via high energy planetary mill reaction. This process were chosen in order to skip the calcinations and implement a single firing process which very effective to reduce the possibility of PbO loss. The effect of sintering parameters on structural behavior of pure PZT ceramic was discussed in detail. Comprehensive studies have been carried out in order get optimum parameter for sintering process, thus improved the performance of the pure PZT ceramics. Grain size properties of Pb (Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 ceramics increased with increasing the sintering temperature and duration. However longer sintering condition (1200 °C, 3 hours) causes excessive PbO loss which leads to presence new phases in XRD analysis, promote grain growth behavior with inhomogenous microstructure and tend to have more pores.

(0.996-x) K0.5Na0.5NbO3- 0.004 BiFeO3- x LiSbO3 (x =0.00, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06, 0.07) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The compositional dependence of the phase structure and the electrical properties of the ceramics were studied. A morphotropic phase boundary between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases was identified in the composition range of 0.03 < x < 0.06. With the content of LS increases, the size of the pores significantly decreases. However, adding larger amount of LS makes the pore size increase slightly. The (0.996-x)KNN-0.004 BF-xLS(x=0.05) ceramics possess good electrical properties: d33 = 280 pC/N, kp = 53.3%, Tc = 345 °C, εr = 1613, Tan δ =2.07%. These results show that the ceramic is a promising lead-free piezoelectric material.

High-performance fine-grain (1-x)BiScO3-xPbTiO3 ceramics were prepared by two-step sintering method. Influences of sintering temperature, holding time, and composition on the microstructure and properties were discussed. The BSPT ceramics obtained via two-step sintering reaches density higher than 95% at a low temperature of 800°C without any sintering aid, and the grain size of the ceramics is also effectively controlled. Excellent piezoelectric properties between the composition of x=0.63 and x=0.64 reveals a probable MPB in this range, suggesting a potential approach to pursue high performance BSPT ceramics.
