To simplify the reinforcement design process of double reinforcement beam section, the concept and application of double reinforcement bean section were introduced, and the appropriate application conditions of reinforced beam in practical engineering and the structural design requirements of beams with double reinforcement section designing were analyzed. The results show that the design value of the negative moment, the beam section size and strength grade of concrete shall meet his requirements of the structural design, then the relational expression is derived, applying this formula to judge whether they meet the preliminary requirements before the calculation of beam reinforcement. Compared with the engineering example shows that the design equations is more simple and accurate, but is the upper limit, and the results can provide a reference for the engineering design and related research.

Aircraft lug joint is the key part of load transfer. In order to improve the safety of lug joint, on the premise of meeting the design requirements of static strength and fatigue, the composite connection lug structure design technology of different metal materials is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the damage safety design and life reliability analysis of the lug structure are studied theoretically. Secondly, based on the concept of damage safety design and the design principle of deformation coordination, the design method of composite connection lug with deformation coordination is proposed, and the thickness ratio of single ear is 0.8:1:0.8. Finally, the reliability of the composite lug is analyzed. The results show that the structural design scheme of aluminum-titanium composite ear piece can meet the requirements of static strength and damage tolerance, and compared with the conventional ear structure, the failure probability of structure mission life is greatly reduced when the weight of the composite connection lug is only increased by 4.9%. The proposed method can effectively guide the structural design of composite ear piece.

Abstract FROSTLINE is a fine-grain, columbium-treated carbon steel designed to be an economical solution to structural design requirements at cold temperatures. Available in plate thicknesses up to 6 inches, it offers high levels of toughness at temperatures to 80 F and higher strength levels than conventional carbon steels. Frostline also offers excellent welding characteristics, because of its low carbon equivalent. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: CS-67. Producer or source: Lukens Steel Company.

This paper presents the innovative use of hot-rolled thickness-tapered mill products, longitudinally profiled (LP) plates, for the seismic performance of bridge bents of single and portal framed piers. The study involves the inelastic cyclic testing and numerical analysis of tested beam-columns and portal frames in order to evaluate the effects of tapering ratios of LP plates, penetration of yielding, and number of locally buckled panels on their structural ductility. A structural design method is proposed for the portal frames having LP panels under cyclic loadings.

In order to realize the need for lightweight automobiles through replacing steel with plastics, the research and development of the plastic clutch pump body based on the friction welding was carried out. For the clutch pump body connected by friction welding process between the upper pump body and the lower pump body, the technical requirements of pressure 14 MPa and durability (high temperature 7.0 × 104 times, room temperature 7.0 × 105) are required. The structure type of the upper and lower pump bodies of the end face welding type was proposed. Through the static analysis of the pump body and weld and the mechanical analysis under the working condition, the structure of the clutch pump body (upper and lower pump body) was determined. According to the established welding process, the pressure of the clutch pump body is more than 15 MPa, and the number of high-temperature durable circulation and the number of room temperature durable circulation also reached 7.2×104 and 7.3×105 times respectively. The results show that the structural design of a clutch pump body meets the design requirements.

This paper proposed a novel concept of active balancer for dynamic balancing of planar mechanisms. Somewhat similar to a vibration absorber, the active balancer is designed as an independent device, which is placed outside of the mechanism to be balanced and can be installed easily. It consists of a two degree-of-freedom (DOF) linkage with two input shafts, one of which is connected to the output shaft of the mechanism to be balanced by a joint coupling, and the other one is driven by a controllable motor. Flexible dynamic balancing adapted to different working conditions can be achieved by varying speed trajectories of the control motor actively. A design method is developed for selecting suitable speed trajectories and link parameters of the two DOF linkage of the balancer to meet various design requirements and constraints. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the design procedure and to verify the feasibility of the proposed concept.

The mathematical model of conformal antenna array is the premise and basis of the conformal array antenna signal processing. Based on the analysis of the antenna array, a design method for adjusting the direction of the conformal array antenna is proposed. Through simulation, the pattern of antenna meets the actual needs of the project and it reaches pre design requirements.

Steel-concrete composite bridges are currently widely used in highway bridges in China. To reduce durability problems in seasonal freezing region, a design method with given service life is used. The service life is given on the basis of the environment condition and design requirements; then the structural design and safety analysis are carried out, and the durability design and analysis of the structural components are conducted. With the consideration of the mechanical performance, construction convenience and life-cycle cost, the structural scheme for bridges using twin-I girders, cross beams and precast full-width deck is recommended. Weather resistant steel is recommended to be used in nonmarine seasonal freezing regions with stabilization treatment, waterproof and drainage design, local anti-corrosion coating. Finally, a design process considering material, protective layer thickness and construction control is proposed to improve concrete deck durability.

In active sensing systems, unimodular sequences with low autocorrelation sidelobes are widely adopted as modulation sequences to improve the distance resolution and antijamming performance. In this paper, in order to meet the requirements of specific practical engineering applications such as suppressing certain correlation coefficients and finite phase, we propose a new algorithm to design both continuous phase and finite phase unimodular sequences with a low periodic weighted integrated sidelobe level (WISL). With the help of the transformation matrix, such an algorithm decomposes the N-dimensional optimization problem into N one-dimensional optimization problems and then uses the iterative method to search the optimal solutions of the N one-dimensional optimization problems directly. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and the convergence property of the proposed algorithm.
