Moore's law has been the most powerful driver for the development of the microelectronic industry. This law is grounded in lithography scaling and integration (in 2D) of all functions on a single chip, perhaps through system-on-chip (SoC). On the other hand, the integration of all these functions can be achieved through system-in-package (SiP) or, ultimately, 3D IC integration. However, there are many critical issues for 3D IC integration. In this study, some of the critical issues will be discussed and some potential solutions or research problems will be proposed.

In recent years, much research has been devoted to the visualization of 802.11 mesh networks; on the other hand, few have explored the evaluation of Smalltalk. after years of theoretical research into link-level acknowledgements, we demonstrate the understanding of Moore's Law. In this work, we show that even though DNS and DHCP are continuously incompatible, IPv6 and 2 bit architectures are never incompatible.

A Kuhnian perspective is used to explain the transition in financial reporting theory from an “economic income perspective” to an “informational perspective” (a transition that Beaver refers to as a “revolution”), and to examine the subsequent development of the latter. The demise of the economic income perspective (represented by the normative a priorists) is attributed to the lack of a paradigm which could serve to identify research problems and provide methodological guidance. The success of the informational paradigm, on the other hand, is attributed to the fact that it was, in essence, a sub-paradigm of the broader and well-established market economics paradigm. The study concludes, however, with a discussion of two types of persistent anomalous findings (the first with respect to the EMH and the second with respect to the CAPM) that have the potential to generate a crisis for the informational paradigm.

Purpose One of the hottest topics in today’s professional and academic debates is digital transformation; some even prefer to use the term “digital business transformation” that is more in line with the business aspects of transformation. On the other hand, in today’s workplaces, human resource (HR) approaches have come into a new era named employee experience (EX). The digital employee experience (DEX), one of the outcomes of entrancing digital transformation in workplaces, has revolutionized the business world by shifting the priorities of organizations from focusing solely on the needs of managers to focusing on all the employees and their experiences in the workplace. Despite the importance of this concept, there is not a unified and complete definition for it. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to conceptualize the DEX. Design/methodology/approach In this study, a systematic literature review was conducted in academic and professional databases, and then to complete and confirm the definition, 11 academic and professional experts in the field of HR and digital transformation in the country were interviewed. Findings A definition of the DEX was provided that covers previous gaps about defining this concept. Research limitations/implications It should be noted that research on conceptualizing EX rather than DEX has been conducted on academic grounds, and in the professional world, there have been some initial attempts on conceptualizing the DEX. Therefore, this study was defined as the need to provide a definition of the DEX. Originality/value The importance of implementing the positive DEX, on the one hand, and failing to conduct comprehensive studies to understand this concept and provide a precise definition of it, on the other hand, have become critical issues in organizations.

AbstractIn this paper, a new generation of Network-on-chip (NoC) system with CDMA code is proposed. A Bipolar CDMA code is used to provide a good system performance and to reduce MAI. Two structures of a detector are employed, which are the PIN and the APD detectors, while putting into consideration thermal noise. On one hand, we are proving, in this work, that system performance can achieve a good BER value in optical context with an acceptable node number. On the other hand, system bandwidth can reach 16 Gbit/s with an acceptable SNR compared to wired architecture.

System-on-chip (SOC) has become a mainstream design practice that integrates intellectual property cores on a single chip. The SOC test scheduling problem maximizes the simultaneous test of all cores by determining the order in which various cores are tested. The problem is tightly coupled with the test access mechanism (TAM) bandwidth and wrapper design. This paper presents a strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm for the SOC test scheduling problem with the objective of minimizing the power-constrained test application time, wrapper design and TAM assignment in flat and hierarchical core-based systems. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the method using the ITC’02 benchmarks.

As the level of integration of IC increases, System on Chip (SoC) design has evolved. This technology comprises of several intellectual property blocks on a single chip. With downsizing of transistors, the traditional elements used impose several challenges such as power dissipation, leakage and so on. These factors risk the cost efficiency of microsystems and risk the semiconductor industry’s capability to prolong Moore’s law in the nanometer range. This is overcome by the introduction of carbon materials such as nanosheet FET. They are advantageous over the traditional elements in terms of area and power efficiency. We design an energy and power efficient SoC with nanosheet FET that provides noise tolerance and memory optimization.

Abstract TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) has replaced outdated Fieldbus and non-deterministic Ethernet in the Industry 4.0. Field buses are not capable of providing neither connection for industry 4.0 IoT (Internet of Things) nor compatibility between different manufacturers. On the other hand, Ethernet is not able to ensure real-time. On the contrary, TSN guarantees real-time transmission, IoT and compatibility between devices. However, adapting to frequently changing needs makes TSN protocol evolve continuously. For this reason, devices for TSN analysis, such as PCs or not advanced frame analysis equipment are not able to process TSN packets at the speed that standard advances, discarding them as wrong frames. The integration of a System on Chip (SoC) that contains an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and a microcontroller, with capacity for reconfiguration and monitoring of the frames in the protocol, would be an ideal solution to this problem. This paper describes how to encapsulate TSN frames in Ethernet packets using an FPGA. Such Ethernet frames can subsequently be decapsulated, i.e. in a PC, and thus enable analysing TSN traffic in nonspecialized devices.

Le odierne applicazioni della medicina hanno introdotto tali e tante trasformazioni nell’atto procreativo umano, da rendere plausibile l’idea che sia in corso una sorta di “rivoluzione riproduttiva”. Tra le problematiche risultanti delle trasformazioni in atto vi è, per un verso, un effetto involutivo sulla generazione umana, nel senso che esse hanno ridotto o rischiano di ridurre l’“evento” rappresentato dalla nascita a mero “fatto biologico”, di “avvicinare” pericolosamente i meccanismi che la regalano a quelli della riproduzione animale e di rendere “superflua”, nel processo generativo, l’integrazione affettivo-morale tra due persone, che poi è quel che qualifica più specificatamente il riprodursi umano. Per altro verso, vi sono una serie di mutamenti nella scena sociale concernenti l’atteggiamento che l’adulto ha nei confronti dei nuovi nati e lo “statuto simbolico” del figlio, la cui immagine è sempre meno associabile a nozioni quali “ospite”, “dono” “frutto”, “benedizione” e sempre associabile a quella di “desiderio” da soddisfare a tutti costi. Il contributo tenta un approfondimento di queste criticità. ---------- Medicine applications have changed human procreation to the point that the idea of a sort of “reproductive revolution” is plausible. Among the issues resulting from these changes, we have to consider, on the one hand, the regressive effect on human generation, in the sense that they have reduced or may reduce birth “event” into mere “biological fact”, to “approximate” dangerously its mechanisms to animal reproduction and to make “unnecessary” emotional integration among people, that is what qualifies more specifically human reproduction, within human generative processes. On the other hand, several changes in the social scene regarding adult’s attitude towards new born and the “symbolic status” of the child, whose image is less and less associated to notions such as “guest” “gift”, “fruit”, “blessing” and more and more associated to “desire” to win at all costs. The contribution intends to debate these critical issues.
