An experimental campaign is underway in order to understand the behavior of rectangular columns under uniaxial and biaxial flexure. The present paper addresses the initial part of that campaign, by reporting on two columns tested under uniaxial bending in one horizontal direction and then submitted to another uniaxial test in the other direction. The test result analysis focuses on the contributions of flexure, shear and slip components to the global deformation. The experimental results were compared with a simplified method for column response. The Park and Ang damage index is calculated and compared with the physical damage observed.

KRI Halasan - 630 is one of the Fast Missile warships with a length of 60 Meters which apart of fast patrol boat class which belongs to TNI-AL. Accordance with the main function not only as a fast missile boat but also as a patrol ship killer, this ship was made to have a high ability in “hit and run”. Since the beginning of the manufacture and after being inaugurated as KRI in 2014 this ship is able to reach speed until 27 knot in full load. As time goes on the same conditions the speed that this ship can achieve is 25 knot at maximum speed. This can be caused by increase in value from the resistance of the ship. One way to reduce the value of the resistance of the ship is to minimize the Wet Surface Area(WSA) from the ship. By adding hydrofoil technology will produce lift force which could lift apart of the hull ship from the water so that Wet Surface Area from the ship will reduce. From the calculation, to lift on the hull of KRI Halasan Class 20 cm in full load condition at 25 knot knows that dimension for fore foil with tapered straight type are wingspan 4,6 m, wingroot 1,33 m, wingtip 0,5 m, and swept angle 11°. And dimension for aft foil with rectangular straight type are wingspan 5,3 m, wingroot and wingtip 1,365 m, and swept angle 0°. The ship resistance with hydrofoil is 265,5 KN, while in the same condition and speed from the ship without hydrofoil the value of ship resistance is 267 KN. By adding hydrofoil technology could reduce the ship resistance 1,5 KN. This values could make 19,29 KW or 25,86 Hp in power saving.Keywords : Hydrofoil technology, Ship Resistance, Halasan Class

A program to train Elementary School teacher in developing science learning media has been conducted in Dapena Elementary School and St Theresia II Catholic Elementary School, Surabaya. The training aims to improve teachers’ skills on making science learning media and teachers’ understanding on science concepts. In this training, teachers have made science learning media on the themes of air, electricity, and energy. According to pre- and post-test result analysis, teachers gain knowledge on scientific approach learning and science concept related to air, electricity, and energy themes. The calculated gain of average can be categorized as medium gain. In addition, according to the evaluation by participants, the program has been conducted very well.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The aims of this development research are to produce teaching materials in the form of bioinformatics module based on problem-based learning titled analysis of the potential of natural compounds <em>in silico</em> as drug candidates that meet the requirements for validity and practicality to be used in bioinformatics courses. The research method used is research and development method with ADDIE development model which consists of five stages. The validation test result by media experts, material experts, and field practitioners in sequentially obtained the percentage of 98.15%, 91.07%, and 95.97%. The practicality test results obtained a percentage of 87.46%. The conclusion of this development research is the bioinformatics module that has been developed has met the requirements of validity and practicality and can be used without revision.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul bioinformatika berbasis <em>problem-based learning</em> berjudul analisis potensi senyawa alami secara <em>in silico </em>sebagai kandidat obat yang memenuhi syarat kevalidan dan kepraktisan untuk dapat digunakan pada matakuliah bioinformatika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa metode penelitian dan pengembangan (<em>research and development</em>) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri atas lima tahapan. Hasil uji validasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi dan praktisi lapangan secara berurutan diperoleh persentase 98.15%, 91.07%, dan 95.97%. Hasil uji kepraktisan diperoleh persentase 87.46%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah modul bioinformatika yang telah dikembangkan telah memenuhi syarat kevalidan dan kepraktisan serta dapat digunakan tanpa perlu revisi.

Behavior of K-Pop fans in grade  science 3 of  State Boarding Aliyah 2 Gresik, leads to behaviour of fanaical fans. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of rational emotive behavior counseling with a pre-test post- test one group design. The instrument of this research is questionnaire of idol fanatiscm for K-Pop fans. The subject of this research is 3 K-Pop fans students from grade  science 3 who have a high level of fanatiscm, based on the pre-test result. Analysis technique that used in this research is paired sample t test. Based on calculation, obtained Asmp. Sig (2 tailed) = 0,015. According to the basic of decision,  accepted if Asmp. Sig (2 tailed) < 0,05. Because of Asmp. Sig 0, 015 < 0,05, the   accepted, and that means there is a difference between before and after of rational emotive behavior counseling implementation. So, it can be concluded that counseling rational emotive behavior with cognitive disputation technique is effective for reduce idol fanaticism of K-Pop fans students.

This study was used a mixture design to optimize the spreadability and viscosity of topical hair gel incorporates cocoa shell extract. The factor of the hair gel ingredient was thickener (0.2 – 0.8%), styling polymer A (2-5%), styling polymer B (2-6%), and solvent (84.63-91.63%) were studied on two responses selected spreadability and viscosity. The data collected were fitted to the model with high coefficient determination (R2= 0.994 for the spreadability and 0.9937 for the viscosity). The model can be predicted by showing the good lack of fit test result not significant with the p-value bigger than 0.05. From the ramp function simulation, the optimized formulation was selected and established at thickener (0.55%), styling polymer A (3.61%), styling polymer B (3.72%), and solvent (88.55%) with the spreadability and viscosity at 353.77 g.s and 39.91 pa.s respectively. The benefit of using mixture design in this experiment, it can help a formulator to understand the complex interaction between factors and can easily modify the formulation through ramp function simulation to obtain the desired result. The predicted validation test shows that both values were comparable. Under this condition showed that the model development could be used to predict future observations within the design range thickener (0.2 – 0.8%), styling polymer A (2-5%), styling polymer B (2-6%), and solvent (84.63-91.63%).

The pressure distribution law of muddy water with high silt content has great influence on the stress and strain calculation of the dam body. Currently, there is a few research studies referring to the calculation method of high silt content muddy water pressure, which leads to no reliable theoretical basis for muddy water pressure calculation in dam design. In this paper, muddy water with high silt content was prepared and the imitation tests and model tests were carried out to investigate the pressure distribution law. Based on the test result analysis, it is indicated that the muddy water with high silt content is also in a flowable and viscous state, which is consistent with the law of fluid behavior; the horizontal pressure is equal to the vertical pressure at the same position, and this relationship is generally time independent; through the test result analysis, a pressure formula for muddy water with high silt content is proposed; through comparison between the pressure formula-calculated results and monitoring data, it is indicated that the proposed pressure formula is applicable in the calculation of muddy water pressure. The formula can be a useful tool in the dam safety and design calculation.
