In the Covid-19 pandemic, it was already possible to obtain recommendations to assist in the control of contamination. In this study, we considered the implementation science concept in a simulation effort based on changes in prevention behaviors. We also considered the use of an information system and wearable IoT devices for monitoring people in environments where social isolation is complex. We conceived four scenarios with different approaches, where health data of the simulated agents were collected for monitoring and providing predictions. Agents with more preventive habits got contamination rates of 12.11% against the worst scenario, with 77.00%.

ABSTRACTThis study is aimed at learning the influence of the use of the POE learning model (Predict, Observe, Explain) on a student's ability to understand science concepts on hot matter and transmigration. The study is carried out at MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang. The kind of research used was quantitative research with experimental quasi design. With a design post-test only design control. The population in the study are all the students in the V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang class. The sample was taken using an additive sampling, after taking the selected sample into a VA class experiment which was an experimental class using the POE and VB  control class that use a direct learning model. Research concluded that: (1) there is an influence on a student's ability to understand natural science between a class given by the POE learning model and a class given direct learning on hot matter and transfer to V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang class; (2) there is a difference in the ability to understand a student science concept between the class given by the POE learning model and the class provided the direct learning model for hot matter and transfer to V MIS Ushuluddin Singkawang class. Keywords: POE learning models; the ability to understand concepts.

This study aims to determine the effect of the fun thinkers' book media on understanding the science concept of class V MIN 3 Lombok students in the middle of the 2020/2021 school year. This research is a quantitative research method with Quasi-Experimental Design type Nonequivalen Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students in class V while the sample was class VB as the experimental class and class VA as the control class. The instrument used was a test to measure conceptual understanding and observation to determine the feasibility of learning using the fun thinkers' book media. The post-test average score of the experimental class students was 73.15, the control class was 63.96. Post-test learning outcomes data were analyzed using non-parametric tests, the results obtained were Sig.2-tailed value <0.05 (0.012 <0.05) at the 95% confidence level. This shows that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means that there is a difference in the mean value of the experimental class and the control class, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the fun thinkers' book media on the understanding of the science concept of class V MIN 3 students. Lombok in the middle of the 2020/2021 school year. The media fun thinkers book media can provide a better understanding of the concept, the researcher suggests the teacher use the fun thinkers' book media as an alternative in solving students' conceptual understanding.

Over the past three decades, our understanding of science learning in early childhood has improved exponentially and today we have a strong empirically based understanding of science experiences for children aged three to six years. However, our understanding of science learning as it occurs for children from birth to three years, is limited. We do not know enough about how scientific thinking develops across the first years of life. Identifying what we do know about science experiences for our youngest learners within the birth to three period specifically, is critical. This paper reviews the literature, and for the first time includes children in the birth to three period. The results are contextualised through a broader review of early childhood science education for children aged from birth to six years. Findings illustrated that the empirical research on science concept formation in the early years, has focused primarily, on children aged three to six years. The tendency of research to examine the process of concept formation in the birth to three period is also highlighted. A lack of empirical understanding of science concept formation in children from birth to three is evident. The eminent need for research in science in infancy–toddlerhood is highlighted.

This research is motivated by efforts to improve scientific literacy skills and build the skills of 21st century students by developing the concept of Android-based science learning devices. Learning device are developed so that students can learn independently, quickly, practically, not limited by time and space, and students are ready to compete in the global world. This study aims to describe the feasibility of developing Android-based science learning tools for college students. This device was developed with a 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The tools developed are: RPP, e-book, LKM and evaluation tools. The research subjects were college UNIROW students who took the Science Concept 2018/2019 course. Collecting data using questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. From the results of the validation and test results, it can be concluded that the learning tools developed are categorized as good, valid and suitable for use in learning.
