Purpose Prior research in ingredient branding (IB) has identified several important decision variables consumers use when evaluating IB alliances. This exploratory research aims to investigate the relationship between these variables and consumers’ buying likelihood of the IB alliance and the relative importance of these variables for low- vs high-involvement product categories. Design/methodology/approach A study with the participation of 458 mTurkers was conducted and the data were analyzed using random forests. Findings Findings reveal relative importance of different variables for an IB alliance and that these differ for low- vs high-involvement categories. Research limitations/implications Being exploratory in nature, this research has several limitations, such as using only one high- and one low-involvement categories. Practical implications Results of this research will help brand managers as they make decisions entering an IB alliance as well as with investing their budget on different aspects of their brand, and tailoring their marketing activities for low- vs high-involvement product categories. Originality/value To the best of authors’ knowledge, this paper is the first to discuss the relative importance of different decision variables in an IB context empirically.

ABSTRACT This is a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory research, with cross-sectional design that investigated the stressors experienced by nursing technicians working in general hospital and identified the coping strategies most used by them. The sample contained 310 participants. A sociodemographic questionnaire and the Ways of Coping Scale were used. For the analysis we used descriptive statistics and calculated the Cronbach's alpha. 60% of professionals used the strategies focused on the problem; 57.4% attributed their stress to working conditions, 26.8% to relationships in the workplace, 5.5% to the lack of reward at work and only 0.6% to problems personal. We conclude that strategies focused on the problems were the most used, indicating an approximation of the stressor in order to fix it. The identified stressors indicate the need for planning, stimulating and recognizing nursing professionals.

This chapter aims to analyze if entrepreneurial leadership, regarded as a distinctive feature of entrepreneurial processes, represents an essential element for obtaining satisfactory innovation performance in an emerging context such as Colombia in Latin America. The relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovation management works differently in family firms (FF) compared with their non-family counterparts. Indeed, there is no consensus in the literature on the effects of entrepreneurial leadership on innovation success in family small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Exploratory research has been conducted considering a survey held on family SMEs in Colombia. Results highlight the importance of supporting entrepreneurial leadership in order to achieve the innovation goals in these types of organizations and show how these factors change between family SMEs with family CEOs and non-family CEOs. In this sense, although the focus in this chapter is on FF, the conclusions could be to some extent generalized to SMEs.

This paper mainly studies the effect of artificial lighting environmental factors on the psychological emotions of observers in the large and practical space of the museums. The purpose is to reveal the relationship between the observers’ response and the artificial lighting condition in the actual art museum space. Field research regarding three art museums in Japan was carried out and the optical environment parameters applied in those museums were quantified. The innovation method is to define the artificial lighting environment space in the way of classified lighting design. Thirty one observers were invited to evaluate the three art museum’s lighting environment. In addition, this paper analyzes and discusses the influence of the actual spatial lighting parameters of museum buildings on observers’ psychological emotions (comfort, clarity, preference and warmth), under three modes of illuminance and correlated colour temperature (CCT) combination. Using one-way analysis of variance and correlation analysis, through analysis get the correlation of the four evaluation and three lighting environments indexes are less than 0.05, the observer in an environment with high illuminance and a high CCT had higher psychological evaluation of the art museum.

Purpose The financially excluded are often denied basic financial services from mainstream banking institutions, leading them to high-cost fringe finance institutions (FFIs) such as payday loan companies and pawnshops. While strategies to address financial exclusion often include financial capabilities education, there does not appear to be evidence suggesting such education is an appropriate solution. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between financial capability and financial exclusion with survey data collected from the Canadian city of Kamloops located in the southern interior of British Columbia. Design/methodology/approach This exploratory research addresses the objective with survey data collected on the banking habits and financial capability levels of fringe finance users in a Canadian city. Findings The results imply that fringe finance users do not have lower levels of financial capability than those who do not use fringe finance, when education and income are controlled. Research limitations/implications Limitations include the relatively small survey sample of 105 people in one urban center in Canada. Originality/value While financial literacy is acknowledged to be an important life skill for all members of society, there is no conclusive evidence suggesting it is a solution to financial exclusion. This is the first research to examine the relationship between financial exclusion and fringe finance use in Canada by collecting data on fringe finance users with face-to-face interviews.

For video websites, advertising is an important method to earn operating funds. They always increase advertising to get more profit. Thus it may have a negative effect on user experience. In order to know how to reduce the negative effect, this paper offers a system dynamics method to analyze the relationship between advertising on video website and user experience. The model highlights six factors that affect user experience: level of advertising design, number of ads, level of website design, degree of advertising hidden, length of ads and degree of advertising mandatory. Real data are collected through financial reports and survey. Based on the simulation results, some opinions and suggestions for advertising are put up.

A review of research since the last review in 1976 reconfirms the conclusion that how persons will express their emotions does not necessarily bear any relationship to the nature of their responses to color on the Rorschach. It is not only time for clinicians to give up this color-affect hypothesis with regard to Rorschach data but to conduct some basic, exploratory research to examine, empirically, whether a relationship does exist between persons' characteristic modes of expressing their emotions and their characteristic styles of responding to the Rorschach.
