Modifiability improvement is a key factor in the successful Home Care IoT System (HCIS) systems development. It includes disciplined system layering (DSL), well-defined components (WDC), published interface (PI), and well-defined behavior (WDB) which represent the four main factors that enhance the modifiability of HCIS. Structure-Behavior Coalescence (SBC) method uses three fundamental diagrams: a) framework diagram, b) component operation diagram, and c) interaction flow diagram to accomplish the design of HCIS. Through framework diagram, Structure-Behavior Coalescence design of HCIS demonstrates tremendous effects of disciplined system layering. Through component operation diagram, Structure-Behavior Coalescence design of HCIS demonstrates large effects of well-defined components and published interfaces. Through interaction flow diagram, Structure-Behavior Coalescence design of HCIS demonstrates tremendous effects of well-defined behaviors. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) refers to a diverse set of unrelated computer algorithms and statistical methods, which are suitable for constructing networks for analysis. Applied SEM method can verify that Structure-Behavior Coalescence design is be able to enhance the Modifiability of HCIS.

       Based on medical exchange and medical information processing theories with statistical tools, our study proposes and tests a research model that investigates main factors behind abortion issue. Data were collected from the survey of Maternity hospital in Sulaimani, Kurdistan-Iraq. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is a powerful technique as it estimates the causal relationship between more than one dependent variable and many independent variables, which is ability to incorporate quantitative and qualitative data, and it shows how all latent variables are related to each other. The dependent latent variable in SEM which have one-way arrows pointing to them is called endogenous variable while others are exogenous variables. The structural equation modeling results reveal is underlying mechanism through which statistical tools, as relationship between factors; previous disease information, food and drug information, patient address, mother’s information, abortion information, which are caused abortion problem. Simply stated, the empirical data support the study hypothesis and the research model we have proposed is viable. The data of the study were obtained from a survey of Maternity hospital in Sulaimani, Kurdistan-Iraq, which is in close contact with patients for long periods, and it is number one area for pregnant women to obtain information about the abortion issue. The results shows arrangement about factors effectiveness as mentioned at section five of the study. This gives the conclusion that abortion problem must be more concern than the other pregnancy problem.

Online shopping has grown popularity over the years because of its convenient and can often save money for buyers. There are two main factors that can affect a person to do shopping online: internal factors and external factors. Previous research often focuses on one factor only, that is, internal or external factors in influencing online shopping. Therefore, this research attempts to integrate both internal (i.e., personal innovation and hedonic motivation) and external factors (i.e., web design and eWOM) in predicting attitude and intention to buy online. Data was collected by using questionnaires with non-probability sampling method. The number of respondents was 228 respondents. Data was then analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results showed that four out of five hypotheses are supported. Specifically, the results showed that personal innovation is not a significant predictor of attitude toward online shopping. This study also provides research limitations and suggestions for further research.

Road accidents are caused by humans, vehicles, and road environments. Human attitudes affect behavioral changes and can lead to unsafe riding behavior. The sex of an individual is a key factor that affects their riding behavior. We aimed to use structural equation modeling (SEM) by analyzing the multi-group SEM between men and women and applying the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the locus of control (LC) theory. The data used in the research were collected from all over Thailand, consisting of 1516 motorcycle riders (903 men and 613 women) aged over 20 years. A self-administered questionnaire was designed for data collection of the riding behavior using the Motorcycle Rider Behavior Questionnaire (MRBQ), including traffic errors, control errors, stunt frequency, and safety equipment. We found that riding behaviors between men and women were significantly different in both theories. For men, TPB showed that the main factors that highly influenced motorcycle riding behavior (MRB) were the attitudes based on health motivation (AHM) and perceived behavior control (PC); for women, AHM produced a stronger effect than in men. However, for the subjective norms (SN) factor, we found no direct effect on MRB, but did find an indirect effect through the attitudes based on severity (ASE) in both sexes. Particularly for women, the indirect influence value of the SN factor was higher. For women, the LC showed that internal factors had more influence than external factors. The same was found for men, but the effect in women was significantly stronger. We found that sex significantly affected the MRB. Therefore, policies must be implemented that address each group specifically as their attitudes and behaviors are different.

AbstractSpatial and mathematical abilities may be “sex-limited” traits. A sex-limited trait has the same determinants of variation within the sexes, but the genetic or environmental effects would be differentially expressed in males and females. New advances in structural equation modeling allow means and variation to be estimated simultaneously. When these statistical methods are combined with a genetically informative research design, it should be possible to demonstrate that the genes influencing spatial and mathematical abilities are sex-limited in their expression. This approach would give an empirical confirmation of Geary's evolutionary speculations.

The paper aims to investigate the associations among self-efficacy, happiness, individual values and attractiveness promoting behavior. The impact of self-efficacy and happiness on individual values and attractiveness promoting behavior is analyzed through the partial least squared structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings provide important implications that both self-efficacy and happiness are important in one’s life but they play different and independent roles. The results found that individual values and attractiveness promoting behavior are independent and they have no significant association with each other. In essence, there is no one perfect solution for all quests. In order for an individual to attain higher level of individual values, psychological and mental factor like happiness should be paid much more attention than perceived ability like self-efficacy. However, self-efficacy is the key factor for an individual to engage oneself in behavior that promote his/her attractiveness.

Abstract While tests of basic motor abilities such as speed, maximum strength or endurance are well recognized, testing of complex motor functions such as agility remains unresolved in current literature. Therefore, the aim of this review was to evaluate which main factor or factor structures quantitatively determine agility. In methodological detail, this review focused on research that explained or described the relationships between latent variables in a factorial model of agility using approaches such as principal component analysis, factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Four research studies met the defined inclusion criteria. No quantitative empirical research was found that tried to verify the quality of the whole suggested model of the main factors determining agility through the use of a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach or a confirmatory factor analysis. From the whole structure of agility, only change of direction speed (CODS) and some of its subtests were appropriately analyzed. The combination of common CODS tests is reliable and useful to estimate performance in sub-elite athletes; however, for elite athletes, CODS tests must be specific to the needs of a particular sport discipline. Sprinting and jumping tests are stronger factors for CODS than explosive strength and maximum strength tests. The authors suggest the need to verify the agility factorial model by a second generation data analysis technique such as SEM.

Cash waqf is becoming one of the popular Islamic financial instruments which not only focus on the religiosity but also has significant impact to the ummah development. This waqf scheme does not require richness in wealth, yet everybody in the society can contribute to cash waqf. The importance of cash waqf is getting popular as it has benefited in many ways, for example it can be used to develop assets and abandoned land for business and agricultural purposes. In addition, cash waqf also can be utilized to help institutions who are facing financial problem or liquidity issues. Nonetheless, rarely we found in the literature that empirically examines the cash waqf determinants and contributions. This paper is one of the few empirical studies that investigate the determinants towards the contribution of cash waqf in Malaysia. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the main factors that influence people towards the contribution of cash waqf instruments, special reference to the Klang Valley and Selangor. This paper employs structural equation modeling (SEM) to verify the determinants of cash waqf contribution. In doing so, we use primary data by distributing self-administrated questionnaire constituting a sample of 114 respondents from Klang Valley and Selangor. Our empirical results reveal that the main factors that driven people towards the contribution of cash waqf products are attitude and social influences, however interestingly religion obligation is not influence the contribution of cash waqf.Keywords: Cash waqf, Malaysia, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)JEL Classification: H8

Consumers who buy their products through e-commerce are beginning to pay attention to a company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) status. Due to technological advancements, information became more transparent. Based on this phenomenon, research is required to determine the extent to which word-of-mouth consumers collaborate to increase value in order to achieve sustainability. In this study, the achievements are examined from the perspective of co-creation on the word of mouth aspect, with dimensions of three main factors, namely, social, economic, and environmental. The hypothesis of this study was tested using structural equation modeling (SEM), which includes an assessment of the segments of the related pathways. A total of 297 Indonesians who have completed at least 20 transactions in e-commerce, expressed concern about three important aspects of sustainability: people, profit, and the planet. This finding demonstrates the importance of co-creation of word-of-mouth value in achieving sustainability. Further research into the moderating effects of more detailed aspects of the supporting ecosystem could be conducted in the future.

It is shown that a minimal assumption should be added to the assumptions of Classical Test Theory (CTT) in order to have positive inter-item correlations, which are regarded as a basis for the aggregation of items. Moreover, it is shown that the assumption of zero correlations between the error score estimates is substantially violated in the population of individuals when the number of items is small. Instead, a negative correlation between error score estimates occurs. The reason for the negative correlation is that the error score estimates for different items of a scale are based on insufficient true score estimates when the number of items is small. A test of the assumption of uncorrelated error score estimates by means of structural equation modeling (SEM) is proposed that takes this effect into account. The SEM-based procedure is demonstrated by means of empirical examples based on the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Revised.
