Aiming at identifying the relationship between the elderly patient facing drug prescription and health professionals, an exploratory and descriptive study of a qualitative cut was carried out using semi-structured interviews. To this end, the Collective Subject Discourse analysis technique was employed. Thirty elderly patients living in the urban area of Maring (Paran State, Brazil) were sampled. They were interviewed from February 25 to March 22, 1998 and selected from the Co-participatory pharmacy database of the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Universidade Estadual de Maring . The finding supplied eleven central Collective Subject ideas, with different discourses. The rich material provided by the study allows better understanding of the factual reality of the elderly facing drug prescription and their relationship with health professionals.

OBJECTIVE: To understand the interaction process between the elderly and the family and the nurses during home care. METHODS: Grounded theory qualitative study in a community where 40% of the population is aged 65 or above. The collection of data was made via the non-participating observation of nursing practice during 41 home visits and semi-structured interviews to nurses, the elderly and the family. RESULTS: the following categories emerged - structural organization of at-home care, diagnostic assessment in context and therapeutic intervention in context. CONCLUSION: the central category was "Building the relationship in an at-home context", due to the fact that the relationship between the nurse, the elderly and the family is central across the entire care process. The relation is, simultaneously, the context for all the care and a therapeutic instrument.

RESUMOObjetivo: analisar o uso de estratégias lúdicas no cuidado à criança hospitalizada na perspectiva da equipe de Enfermagem. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, no setor da Pediatria de um hospital municipal, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 15 profissionais de enfermagem, cujos dados foram submetidos à técnica de Análise de Conteúdo, na modalidade Análise Temática. Resultados: entende-se que as estratégias lúdicas são compreendidas majoritariamente como uma forma de entreter/distrair as crianças hospitalizadas. Utilizam-se materiais hospitalares, brincadeiras, desenhos, conversa/amizade, vestimentas diferenciadas e contação de histórias, especialmente, durante os cuidados procedimentais. Identificam-se, contudo, fatores limitantes do uso dessas estratégias lúdicas no cuidado à criança, como a escassez de recursos/materiais/investimentos, o medo das crianças em relação aos profissionais e aos procedimentos, a falta de tempo e a presença dos familiares. Conclusão: avalia-se que os fatores limitantes precisam ser superados para a garantia do atendimento integral às crianças hospitalizadas, considerando que o brincar é um direito garantido legalmente, além de contribuir para a recuperação mais prazerosa e para o pleno desenvolvimento infantil. Method: this is a qualitative, descriptive study in the pediatrics sector of a municipal hospital, through semi-structured interviews with 15 nursing professionals, whose data were submitted to the Content Analysis technique in the Thematic Analysis modality. Results: it is understood that play strategies are understood mainly as a way to entertain/distract hospitalized children. Hospital materials, games, drawings, conversation/friendship, differentiated clothing and storytelling are used, especially during procedural care. However, there are limitations to the use of these play strategies in child care, such as scarce resources/materials/investments, children's fear of professionals and procedures, lack of time and the presence of family members. Conclusion: it is estimated that the limiting factors need to be overcome to guarantee the integral care of hospitalized children, considering that playing is a legally guaranteed right, as well as contributing to a more pleasant recovery and to the full development of children. Se identifican, sin embargo, factores limitantes del uso de esas estrategias lúdicas en el cuidado al niño, como la escasez de recursos / materiales / inversiones, el miedo de los niños hacia los profesionales y los procedimientos, la falta de tiempo y la presencia de los familiares. Conclusión: se evalúa que los factores limitantes necesitan ser superados para la garantía de la atención integral a los niños hospitalizados, considerando que el jugar es un derecho garantizado legalmente, además de contribuir para la recuperación más placentera y para el pleno desarrollo infantil. The aim of the study was to assess the correlations between the acute confusing syndrome and different comorbidities found in a group of 126 elderly patients with this diagnosis, who were admitted to the Neurology Clinic of the Neuropsychiatry Hospital of Craiova. The main syndromes highlighted at the neurological examination were confusing, pyramidal and vestibular syndromes. The acute confusing syndrome has a multifactorial etiology, due to the wide range of comorbidities encountered in elderly patients. In our study the most frequent comorbidities were cardiovascular pathology, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, cerebrovascular renal, hepatic pathology.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the relationship between Strike Determination, Balance and Coordination of the Foot to the Accuracy of Kicking in a football game. This research is a descriptive study. The population of this study was all male students of SMA Negeri 9 Makassar with a total sample of 40 people selected by Purposive Sampling. The data analysis technique used is the correlation analysis technique using the SPSS application at a significant level of 95% or α0.05. Starting from the results of data analysis, this study concluded that: (1) there was a significant correlation with the accuracy of kicks in football games, proved to be R = 0.838 (P = 0.000 <α0.05); (2) there is a significant relationship between the balance and the accuracy of the kick in the game of football, as evidenced by R = 0.733 (P = 0.000 <α0.05); (3) there is a significant correlation between ankle coordination and kick accuracy in soccer, it is proven that R = 0.782 (P = 0.000 <α0.05; football game, proven R = 0.869 (P = 0,000 <α0.05). ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Kelentukan Togok, Keseimbangan dan Koordinasi Mata Kaki terhadap Ketepatan Tendangan pada permainan sepakbola. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa putra SMA Negeri 9 Makassar dengan jumlah sampel penelitian  40 orang yang dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Tehnik analisis data yang digunakan adalah tehnik analisis korelasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS pada taraf signifikan 95% atau α0,05. Bertolak dari hasil analisis data, maka penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) ada hubungan yang signifikan kelentukan dengan ketepatan tendangan pada permainan sepakbola, terbukti R = 0,838 (P=0,000 < α0,05); (2) ada hubungan yang signifikan keseimbangan dengan ketepatan tendangan pada permainan sepakbola, terbukti R = 0,733 (P = 0,000 < α0,05); (3) ada hubungan yang signifikan  koordinasi mata kaki dengan ketepatan tendangan pada permainan sepakbola, terbukti R = 0,782 (P = 0,000 < α 0,05; (4) ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kelentukan togok, keseimbangan dan koordinasi mata kaki terhadap ketepatan tendangan pada permainan sepakbola, terbukti R = 0,869 (P = 0,000 < α0,05).

OBJECTIVE To identify vulnerabilities of elderly people with HIV/AIDS and the trajectory that they follow until reaching the diagnosis of the disease. METHOD Qualitative research conducted in specialized clinics in the state of São Paulo, from January to June 2011. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 11 elderly people who were found to be infected with the virus at the age of 60 years or older. The interviews were analyzed using content analysis. RESULTS In this process four categories emerged, then analyzed with reference to the theoretical framework of vulnerability. CONCLUSION Late diagnosis of HIV infection or AIDS among the elderly happens in the secondary or tertiary service. Issues related to sexual life of the elderly are only questioned by health professionals after the diagnosis, also the time that condom use becomes absolute. It is believed that the investigation of the vulnerability of the elderly to HIV/AIDS allows for carrying out appropriate interventions for this population.

This study aimed to analyze parents’ perspectives of the health education practice provided by health professionals to children and parents. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach, based on the conceptual framework of health education provided by health professionals to children/young people and families. The selection took place by non-probabilistic sampling of convenience, and was developed with parents/users of health units for pediatric hospitalization and primary health care in northern Portugal. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews with 20 parents from March to April 2019, and were analyzed using the content analysis technique. Health education was understood to enhance health, and the evaluation was carried out according to planning and partnership. The most frequent topics were food, the national vaccination plan, and accident prevention. The evaluation shown is very positive, pointing to the nurse as the professional of choice for this practice and thus contributing to the visibility of nursing. We can state that the perspectives of parents about the health education carried out by health professionals show a practice that values health; is adaptable to the complexity of the binomial child and parents; is capable of influencing health determinants with sustainability, efficacy, and effectiveness; and gives visibility to nurses’ positions as health educators.

AbstractControl and the care are continuous challenges in the treatment of chronic diseases, and it is necessary to know the users’ realities in order to seek intervention alternatives. The study aimed to identify the participants’ knowledge in a therapeutic group of the elderly regarding diabetes mellitus and systemic arterial hypertension. Descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, conducted with 12 elderly in the therapeutic group. Semi-structured interviews were used as data collection technique. Data were transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis technique. In the results the category about the participants’ knowledge on the diseases emerged, namely: etiological factors; main signs, symptoms and complications; drug therapy; use of herbal medicines; food control; lifestyle and regular follow-up at the health unit. It was concluded that the participants have knowledge about the diseases; however, they cultivate habits that can trigger complications. Knowledge from experience should not be neglected, but should be directed towards achieving the goal of the therapeutic group, helping to improve the understanding of the elderly about their disease (s) and stimulating self-care.Keywords: Therapeutics. ResumoO controle e o cuidado são desafios contínuos na terapêutica das doenças crônicas, sendo necessário conhecer as realidades dos usuários para buscar alternativas de intervenção. O estudo objetivou identificar o conhecimento dos participantes de um grupo terapêutico de idosos em relação ao diabetes mellitus e hipertensão arterial sistêmica. Estudo descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa dos dados. A pesquisa foi realizada no munícipio de Itabuna na Bahia, na Unidade de Saúde da Família Simão Fitterman, no ano de 2014. Participaram do estudo 12 idosos do Sistema de Cadastramento e Acompanhamento de Hipertensos e Diabéticos (HIPERDIA), que participaram das reuniões do grupo terapêutico de idosos. A técnica utilizada para coleta de dados foi a entrevista com roteiro semiestruturado, realizadas nas reuniões do grupo terapêutico da unidade referida. O instrumento de coleta foi composto por dados sócio demográficos, conceitos e fatores desencadeantes das doenças estudadas, tratamento não farmacológico, complicações, prevenção e noções de autocuidado. Concluiu-se que os participantes possuem conhecimento sobre as doenças, entretanto cultivam hábitos que podem desencadear complicações. O conhecimento advindo da experiência, não deve ser negligenciado, mas direcionado ao alcance do objetivo do grupo terapêutico, contribuindo na melhoria do entendimento dos idosos sobre sua (s) doença (s), e estimulando o autocuidado.Palavras-chave: Terapêutica. ResumoObjetivo: Conhecer a percepção do cuidador sobre a hospitalização do idoso com Doença de Alzheimer. Método: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório, de natureza qualitativa, realizado com onze cuidadores familiares de idosos com doença de Alzheimer. Os dados foram coletados no período de Abril a Junho de 2013 por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. A análise dos dados foi pautada no Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Resultados: Emergiram duas ideias centrais síntese: piora da função cognitiva do idoso com doença de Alzheimer durante o processo de hospitalização e o despreparo da equipe de saúde para cuidar de um idoso com demência.Conclusão: De acordo com os resultados obtidos, urge a necessidade de capacitação e/ou especialização dos profissionais de saúde para atender o idoso com demência e sua família. A família é parte integrante do cuidado a esse idoso, sendo fundamental compreendê-la e assisti-la como uma unidade social complexa.Descritores: Cuidadores, Doença de Alzheimer, Idoso, Hospitalização. AbstractObjective: To investigate the perception of the caregiver about the hospitalization of the elderly with Alzheimer disease. Conclusion: According to the results obtained, there is urgent need for training and/or specialization of health professionals to meet the elderly with dementia and their families. Resultados: Surgieron dos ideas centrales resumen: empeoramiento de la función cognoscitiva en los ancianos con enfermedad de Alzheimer durante el proceso de hospitalización y la Falta de personal sanitario a cuidar de un anciano con demencia. Conclusión: De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos, existe la urgente necesidad de formación y/o especialización de los profesionales de la salud para atender a los ancianos con demencia y sus familias. OBJECTIVE: to investigate the care undertaken in the health services for people with intestinal stoma, from the perspective of articulating the actions proposed in the Amplified and Shared Clinic, with a view to promoting autonomy. METHOD: qualitative study. Participants: 10 people who received a stoma, and their family members. Data was collected between 10th January and 30th June 2011, through two semi-structured interviews. Analysis was through the stages: anxiety, synthesis, theorization and recontextualization. RESULTS: presented in the categories: (1) the need to carry out stoma care; (2) receiving health support and care after discharge from hospital; (3) returning to daily activities and social reinsertion. CONCLUSION: the study identified common factors which influence the process of development of autonomy and the relationship which health professionals have with this achievement.

Abstract Objective: To describe the organization of nursing professors’ work and analyze its limiting and facilitating aspects. Method: A qualitative and descriptive study composed of professors from the federal public universities of Rio de Janeiro. Data collection took place through semi-structured interviews. The content analysis technique was used for data processing. Results: Twenty-seven (27) professors participated. Facilitating elements of the teaching work were: work environment; autonomy and flexibility; liking what they do; use of technologies; and solidarity of the professional group; while hindering elements included: high work demand; intense work rhythm; scarcity of material and human resources; and academic competitiveness. Conclusion: The configuration of the teaching work organization is complex and multifaceted, presenting high psycho-affective, cognitive and physical demands which enhance illness in these workers.
