The purpose of this research examining the relationship between the level of intolerance to uncertainty and health perceptions during distance education university students and explaining whether intolerance to uncertainty predicts perception of health. This study is descriptive research in the relational survey model. The sample group consisted of 276 students, 138 (50%) of whom were female, and 138 (50%) of whom were male, studying distance education in the spring term of 2019-2020. Personal information form prepared by the researchers, the "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale (IUS-12)" and "Perception of Health Scale" were used to collect data. Research data were analyzed using SPSS 25.00 statistical package program. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and statistical regression techniques were used in the analysis of the data. The significance level was determined as .05. As a result of the research, it was determined that the students' intolerance level of uncertainty was at a medium level. Their perception of health was above the medium level. It was observed that there was a low-level negative relationship between the students' intolerance to uncertainty and their perception of health. It has been determined that intolerance to uncertainty is also a low predictor of perception of health.

Article visualizations:

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and distance education perception levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates during the pandemic process. The population of the study consists of teacher candidates (n=908) studying at the physical education and sports teaching departments of the School of Physical Education and Sports and Sports Sciences within the private and public universities affiliated to the Higher Education Institution in Istanbul, and the sample consists of volunteers (n=398) determined by simple random sampling method from this population. In order to collect data, the Google Forms platform was preferred in order to maintain social distance during the pandemic process. During the data collection process, information and questionnaires about the study were communicated to the participants through social networks. Volunteers who participated in the study were asked to fill in the personal information form, academic self-efficacy and distance education perception scales. The data obtained in the study were analyzed in computer environment. Variables are expressed by using mean ± standard deviation, percentage and frequency values. Pearson product moments correlation analysis (r) was applied to reveal the relationships between the scales. For the significance level of the tests, p<0.05 and p<0.01 values were accepted. As a result, it was determined that the academic self-efficacy and distance education perception levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates were above the average. Between the academic self-efficacy and perception of distance education. A low level positive relationship was found. It is thought that this situation is caused by the concerns of physical education and sports teacher candidates, who are accustomed to the face-to-face transfer of knowledge and skills related to the teaching models of sportive skills, to the transition to distance education and to the problems that may occur in this process and not to learn the necessary knowledge and skills related to their professional development. Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between perceived insufficient milk and breastfeeding self-efficacy levels among Turkish mothers. Methods: The study was conducted on 200 mothers whose infants were hospitalized and under treatment and who could breastfeed their infants in the newborn clinic of a university hospital in eastern Turkey between June 2013 and February 2014. A sampling method was not applied in the study, so the sample consisted of the population of the study. The ‘Personal Information Form’, ‘Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale’ and ‘Perception of Insufficient Milk Questionnaire’ were used to collect the data. Data were analysed by using percentage distribution and arithmetic average; independent sample t test, Mann–Whitney U test, Kruskal–Wallis variance analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and Cronbach alpha reliability coefficiency in the SPSS 18.0 package program. Results: The study determined that advanced age, higher education level and higher income status, male gender of the child, planning of the pregnancy, many births, receiving breastfeeding education and the length of time that mothers planned to exclusively breastfeed affected breastfeeding self-efficacy and perception of milk sufficiency positively ( p<0.05). The study showed that, as breastfeeding self-efficacy levels of mothers increased, their perception of milk sufficiency also increased ( p<0.05). Conclusion: The study concluded that some factors related to the mother, infant, pregnancy and breastfeeding affected breastfeeding self-efficacy and the perception of milk insufficiency. As the breastfeeding self-efficacy level increased, the milk was perceived to be more sufficient.

Participants in the study were asked to fill in a personal information form, academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility scales. IBM SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) statistical package program was used to analyze the data. Arithmetic means and standard deviations of the scores of the volunteers from the scales were presented as X±Sd. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis was applied to reveal the relationship of the data obtained from the scales. The value of p<0,05 was considered significant. As a result, it was determined that the academic self-efficacy and cognitive flexibility levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates were above average. A moderate positive correlation was found between academic self-efficacy and alternatives and control subtitles of cognitive flexibility and total of cognitive flexibility. The aim of this study is to determine whether relationship occurs between organizational commitment and organizational cynicism attitudes among employees who were employed in five and four star hotels located in Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey and to affirm the extent of the relationship. According to the findings, there is a significant (negative) relationship between three sub-dimensions of organizational cynicism (behavioral cynicism, affective cynicism and cognitive cynicism) and organizational commitment. Multiple regression and correlation analysis were applied to analyze data and identify the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational cynicism. According to the findings of the research, it is revealed that, as the level of organizational cynicism arises, attitudes toward organizational commitment decrease. Those results are consistent with findings of the previous studies that employees with cynical attitudes exhibited lower commitment in the organization. The results of this research showed that hotel employees mostly experience cognitive cynicism among sub-dimensions of cynicism and they rarely experience affective cynicism. In conclusion, it is possible to assert that employees were with medium level of organizational cynicism and organizational commitment.

Results: It was determined that there was a significant difference as a result of the comparisons made with the variables of nurses’ feeling comfortable in their workplaces, the unit in which they were working and their feeling of belonging to their workplace (p<,05). The mean total score of the Organizational Cynicism scale was 37.98±10.71, and the Organizational Commitment scale was 52.60±8.40. A relationship was determined between the organizational cynicism scale total score and affective, continuance and normative commitment subdimensiions in the organizational commitment scale.
