The article is dedicated to the title pages by Toros Taronatsi, a miniaturist of the first half of the XIV century of Gladzor University. Many authors, such as S. Ter-Nersesyan, L. Durnovo, A. Avetisyan, E. Korkhmazyan, V. Ghazaryan, speaking about the Gladzor School of miniature, in their works referred to the art of Toros Taronatsi:. But his legacy has not been thoroughly explored to this day yet. Our choice fell on studying the art of Taronatsi for this very reason. The artist's art is interesting and attractive because it reflects the traditions of various schools miniature painting. The main objective of the article is the analysis of the main components that make up the title pages illustration system: rectangular illuminations, titles, initials, rubrics, marginals. The study used complex methods of artistic analysis. Studying the title pages of Taronatsi, we came to the conclusion, that there is an Armenian pre-Cilician and Cilician elements in the work of the master. Drawing parallels with the Cilician manuscripts, we made sure that the title pages contain especially Roslin elements. Comparison of the works by Toros Taronatsi and Toros Roslin allows us to call them “two brilliant Toroses” of medieval Armenian art.

Abstract The principal aim of this article is to raise awareness of a collection whose singular nature endows it with enormous heritage value. It presents a historiographical and artistic analysis of the collection of wax models formed at the Royal Veterinary College in Madrid in the period from 1793 to 1863 and currently preserved in the Complutense Veterinary Museum. The data extracted from primary documentary sources, such as the records from the old school which have been preserved, have been verified using secondary bibliography, complemented by scientific observations on the sculptures in question. The results obtained have enabled us to reconstruct the history of the creation and functioning of the ‘Waxworks Laboratory’, to identify the manufacturers and the technical choices they made, to date each model, and to determine the reasons behind the loss of a significant number of them.

The article examines some of the issues of the formation and evolution of the genre of the story in Circassian literature. The relevance of the study is due, on the one hand, to the insufficient development of the stated topic, on the other hand, to the need to identify trends in the development of national prose, starting from the problems of its genesis. In the center of research attention is the ideological and thematic orientation of the Circassian story mainly of the initial stage of evolution, i.e. Soviet era. In particular, the author examines the stories of S. Temirov, I. Amirokov, M. Adamokov, H. Gashokov and others, who laid the foundations of the genre in Circassian literature. During the indicated period, the Circassian tale was the first attempt to comprehend the problems of collective farms, youth brigades, the Soviet attitude to work, the range of urgent problems of young people, their aspirations, the formation of the criteria of Soviet morality. It also reflects various aspects of the Great Patriotic War, mainly as a war for independence. The research uses the method of artistic analysis. The results obtained can be used in compiling special courses on Adyghe (Kabardino-Circassian) prose, writing the history of the literature of the peoples of the North Caucasus.

The report compares the form-formation principles, key to the architecture of the Wexner Center for the Visual Arts (1983/89) Columbus, Ohio – of the American Peter Eisenmann – with some of the techniques used in the spatial – compositional solution of the destroyed Sofia monument “1300 Years Bulgaria” (1980/81–2017). The text refers to the 80’s of the twentieth century and the creative approaches, distinctive for some of the lastest „large-scale monuments“ realized in Bulgaria. These approaches are considered in the light of one opened architectural theory, absolutely oppositional to the one typical to our country at this time. The comparison aims to are to expand, within this date, the scope of the spatial-artistic analysis, committed to the relationship between the architecture, sculpture and the surrounding environment.

These and other points are illustrated by 17 progressively more complex figures constructed by the author.
