The church, built according to various sources in the IX-XIII centuries, is interesting for its monumental, restrained architecture and preserved interior. The clear straight lines of the building with sharp elements remind us of the Gothic style, although according to legend it was built much earlier. Covered with drawings of the XVIII century. the ceiling of the temple is related to the famous painted ceiling of the church in Chetfalva. Next to the church is a beautiful, shingled wooden bell tower of the Marmara type. The monument is located in a picturesque, well-groomed courtyard, surrounded on all sides by a wall, where exotic trees and flowers grow. In front of the entrance gate there are several Hungarian carved wooden sculptures erected in memory of important historical events in Vyshkovo. The purpose of the article is to attract the attention and acquaint readers with the incredibly valuable architectural monument of Western Ukraine – Vyshkovo Reformed Church. The article presents the preconditions and the process of construction, determining the type of materials used, design analysis, detailed consideration of decorative elements and various plans of the oldest church in Transcarpathia. My own research of this architectural object, which I have been conducting for three months, describes to us: the methods of construction at that time, the execution of the frames of door and window openings, and the decoration of the facade of the church. Religion has always played an important role in the life of the people of Vyshkovo. People are proud of their church, they constantly visit it. Being in the middle of the building, there is a feeling of authenticity and complete immersion in the events described by the priest, because of the very good acoustics of this ancient church.

This article dwells upon the tragic history of the architecturally unique Russian Community House with a church. It was built by the design of an architect Nikolai Vasilyev (1875–1958). The presentation of the material in the article begins with the history of the Orthodox embassy house churches in Berlin. Despite the long historical and matrimonial ties between Russian and Prussian Reigning Royal Houses, there was no separate capital Orthodox church edifice in Berlin. The rector of the embassy church A. Maltsev advocated the construction of it, but the First World War interfered with the plans to build a new Orthodox church in Berlin. However, the increase of the Orthodox community after 1917 at the expense of the emigrants made the construction of a new church edifice even more essential. The design was developed by N. Vasilyev. Considering the need to create a multifunctional building, which should be located among a dense urban development and blend in style with the neighboring buildings, the architect embodied his old designs for monastery structures in the Neo-Russian style, carrying the idea of the “Temple-Castle” (designs of the Metochions of Kalyazinsky Alexander Nevsky Monastery and Feodorovsky Gorodetsky Monastery in St. Petersburg). The building, which included premises for various purposes, was crowned with a church in the spirit of Novgorod ecclesiastical architecture with an open gallery for processions. This unique architectural monument suffered a sad fate – the building was sold for debts and bought by German Labor Front (DAF). The former community house was a subject of a complete reconstruction in accordance with the plans for the administrative development of the district. However, a plot of land was allocated to the Russian community for the construction of a new church edifice, which was consecrated in 1938, but that new church was no longer as interesting and unique from an architectural point of view as the first temple. Thanks to the analysis of archival materials it was found out that the reconstruction was not completed and the former community house survived in its original form (only the domes were dismantled) during the Second World War. The building was converted to a hotel only in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

This paper discusses the results of experimental studies on the selection of the repair mixture compound for recreating the surface layer of the historical brick of the 18th century architectural monument “Commercial Bank” in Arkhangelsk. According to the research results, it was found that the historical brick has a relatively higher density and increased calcium content than the modern one. The characteristics of the surfaces of the analyzed materials based on the component indicators of specific surface energy showed that the brick of 1859, characterized by the highest degree of destruction, has the maximum value of the polar energy component. This fact may indicate a greater hydrophilicity of the surface in relation to atmospheric water and, as a result, a more intensive degradation process. It is established that the composition of the repair mixture with the addition of brick crumbs in the amount of 50 % has a value of the polar part of the surface tension equal to similar parameters for historical bricks (1786 and 1859) after their preliminary priming. The use of this mixture to recreate the surface layer of the brick will allow atmospheric water to pass freely through the repair compound and the body of the brick, without concentrating on the interface and without causing its destruction and detachment when drying.

Technical solutions for the reconstruction of the building of the Shamovskaya Hospital, an architectural monument built in 1907-1910, are highlighted in Kazan. The reconstruction involves the construction of a 4- storey underground extension to the building. The implementation of the developed architectural solutions revealed a number of problems associated with ensuring the stability of the foundation when developing a deep pit in the immediate (0.5 m) proximity to the building. The authors propose technical solutions to strengthen the foundations of the existing building of the Shamovskaya Hospital, as well as the structure of the retaining wall.

The aim of the study is to observe the dynamics of soil movement and deformation of the complex of buildings and structures in the Pidhoretskyi monastery on the basis of geodetic measurements in complex engineering and geological conditions in the protected area, as well as permanent monitoring of vertical displacements for analysis and further recommendations for concerning safe operation of engineering constructions. Due to significant landslides on the slopes of the terrace, the buildings and structures of the Pidhoretskyi monastery are in a state of emergency. To save the architectural monument of the 18th century, which is located on the territory of Plisnetskyi reserve, a reference geodetic planned-height network (proving ground) has been created, which allows to determine the magnitude and direction of soil landslides; to determine the deformation of buildings and structures; to determine the amount of subsidence of structures as well as monitoring these processes. The support network consists of 2 planned-height (source) soil geodetic points for control of six stationary observation stations, 4 of which are located on one top of the mountain slope, and 2 are on the other. The height basis is created by leveling of the II class. Planned-height network consists of eight lines: some are designed and laid parallel to the church buildings, others are directed towards the ravines to determine the dynamics of their movement. A total of 87 reinforcing marks for linear - angular observations are laid. To observe the deformations of buildings and structures, 35 external wall signs (benchmarks) were laid in the foundations of the buildings, 20 were laid in the retaining wall and 22 internal signs (dowels) were laid in the stone floor of the church. The total number of all wall signs are 77. We proposed the manufacture of polymer poles on the ground from the polymer pipes, with which we fixed all points of the planned height network. The convenience of their use is due to the fact that they meet the requirements of the instructions and they can be used in the territories of cultural heritage sites of national importance, without violating the Law of Ukraine. Centers can be made from improvised materials quickly and conveniently; their cost is quite low; ease and forced centering of devices and reflectors above the signs eliminates centering errors. Research methods. Geometric leveling of the second class with Ni-002 level and observation of displacements in the targets was performed at the proving ground. Research results. For the first time on the territory of Pidhoretskyi monastery a stationary geodetic proving ground was created for permanent observations of soil movements, deformations of buildings and structures. The points of the proving ground are laid down by the proposed types of centers. On the basis of geodetic observations, uneven and uniform subsidence of the marks of the studied buildings and structures, displacement of points of alignment were determined; maps of vertical movements of the earth's surface of the territory of the Pidhoretskyi monastery were created.
