Tight competition among hotels in Special Region of Yogyakarta requires each hotel to implement its best business strategy to guarantee their business goals as targeted. The hotels, therefore, needs to manage their strategy. Strategy management is a science that learn how to manage a company in a comprehensive and integrated way; it provides reasons what make some companies achieve their glorious time and some companies do not. This research aims to formulate Business Strategic Planning for Hotel Grand Keisha in order to win competition. This research employs analytical methodology of PESTLE (Politic, Economic, Social, Technology, Legal and Environment), SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats) by using EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) matrix, IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) matrix, SWOT matrix, and Grand Strategy matrix. This is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, triangulation, and literature study. Quality and rating of this research is gained through Focused Group Discussion. This research shows that Hotel Grand Keisha obtains 2.56 of EFAS – 2.52 of IFAS and place Hotel Grand Keisha on Quadrant 1 with alternative strategies of market penetration, market development, and product development. One of the efforts that should be conducted by a businessman to compete in the global world is that understanding the situation and mastering market strategy. This study aimed to determine and analyze competitive strategies and improve competitive qualities contained based on SWOT analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This study conducted qualitative descriptive research. The data was obtained from observation, interview, and library study. The data were analysed based on IFAS matrix, EFAS matrix, SWOT diagram and SWOT Matrix. The results of this study indicate that durian pancake medium enterprise of SALINARY used product strategy and good service strategy to the customer. Business strategy was good enough but still need to do evaluation in more strategy to develop Durian pancake business. Based on SWOT Analysis, to improve the Quality of durian Pancake Business it was necessary to apply aggressive strategy or SO strategy. Therefore, Durian Pancake Enterprises could empower the opportunities to exist.

This study aims to examine consumer behavior, customer satisfaction and development strategies that can support or hinder the development of vegetarian restaurants Fortunate Coffee using SWOT analysis. Research with qualitative approach using an analytical process begins with a browse through all the data available from the following sources using literature study, internet media, interviews, and questionnaires.Findings from this study showed that a vegetarian restaurant Fortunate Coffee has many advantages that can support the development of, among other strategic place and cozy, reasonable prices, good service, taste the food was pretty good, and have the product in Samarinda recently sold in Fortunate Coffee vegetarian restaurant that is Bread Vegan. Through of the findingsstrength, weakness, opportunity, threats, then difomulasikan into the SWOT matrix and eventually found a few strategies, namely strategies SO (strength-opportunity) flavorenhancing its menu. ST Strategy (strength-threats) maintain selling prices to remain stable. WO Strategy (weakness-opportunity) held activities such as seminars vegetarian and exciting events. WT Strategy (Weakness-threats), an improvement in consumer promotions, the need for special training to waiters in service procedures, innovations in the form of home delivery.

Road handling and utility installation in Denpasar City Area are still running based on the work program of each agency and have not yet been integrated. Utility owners conduct system repairs or additions according to consumer demand. However, in the implementation, they do not synergize with the road organizer program. The restoration of road pavement conditions is not optimal and has potential to damage the utility system as a result of these circumstances. This study aims to analyze the existing conditions, the synergy program constraints, and the correct strategies to synergize road handling and utility system installation. Data were collected using questionnaire survey, interview, and focus group discussion. Purposive sampling method was chosen to select respondents. Subsequently, the data collected were analyzed using qualitative descriptive and SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis show that synergistic conditions have not been implemented. The constraints faced by the program synergy are the ineffectiveness of coordination and collaboration between relevant stakeholders, ineffectiveness of stakeholder involvement, lack of vision and mission of stakeholders to make changes, stakeholders being reluctant to change, budget constraints, lack of stakeholder innovation, operational and maintenance costs of integrated projects, and relatively large and stakeholders have not initiated integrated project management. The strategies undertaken to create program synergy are: preparing regional regulations and regulations, forming joint teams, synergizing road and utility network databases, creating pilot projects and setting up an online complaints service.

This study aimed to determine the marketing activities of pilgrim package tour that have been performed by PT. Dongan Sahuta Tour and Travel, develop strategies and also marketing programs that can be implemented by the company. Data collection by observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature study. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis, analysis of the Likert scale and SWOT analysis approach. The results obtained there are four teen indicators of strengths, weaknesses of tree indicators, four indicators of opportunities and four indicators threats. Marketing strategies that can be implemented by the firm such as 1)create and develop a quality product, 2)provide rebates to customers who have used the services of PT. Dongan Sahuta Tour and Travel several times.The advice given are more active in the promotion by giving rebates, conduct marketing activities as E-commers, expand cooperation with business trips or individuals.

The social forestry groups in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province consisting of LPHD Lubuk Birah, LPHD Lubuk Beringin dan LPHD Rio Kemunyang are the groups that have been assisted by social forestry assistance. The business in these groups is underdeveloped as indicated by unavailiability of market access, limited capital, weak institutionalism, etc. The objective of this research is to discover strategy of assistance in social forestry groups business development in the 3 (three) aforementioned groups. The data are collected by conducting in-depth interview, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), also by distributing questionnaires. They are analyzed by using SWOT analysis with Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS). Based on the SWOT analysis, it is found that the position of assistants is at quadrant IV (defensive strategy) which indicates that it is in unfavorable position where weakness and threat are more serious than its strength and opportunity. The strategy of assistance applied today is on increasing capacity of the assistants in business development, conforming outcomes of groups business with market needs, increasing intensity of effective communication and atmosphere with the groups, consolidating strength of the groups and improving communication with government and authorities to encounter threats of land clearing, increasing motivation of assistants, and living in the location when providing assistance.

This study aims to determine the priority strategies of several alternative strategies in IndiHome which are formulated using SWOT analysis. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data used are primary. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique and get seven informants. Primary data generated from the interviews were analyzed using SAP and ETOP to diagnose factors including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. After that, these factors are formulated in the SWOT matrix to determine alternative strategies. Strategy alternatives are then formulated in the QSPM matrix to obtain priority strategy results for IndiHome. The validity test in this study was carried out by triangulation of sources. The results showed that there were four alternative strategies for IndiHome Telkom Area of West Nusa Tenggara. Based on four alternative strategies, the priority strategy for IndiHome which is determined by QSPM matrix is to upgrade the quality of services provided to customers regularly with a total weight of 7,051. The results of this study are expected to be able to assist in the framework of thinking about strategic management knowledge in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry and also provide additional information and insights in the selection of alternative strategies as well as new insights about the condition of the company from an external perspective.

This research aims to increase ballroom sales at New Kuta Hotel, to find out marketing strategies that should be used by the sales & marketing departments to increase ballroom sales and to find out which strategies are most effective in marketing strategies by sales & marketing department. The analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis, Internal Factor Analysis Summary Matrix (IFAS), External Factor Analysis Summary Matrix (EFAS), Internal–External Matrix (IE), SWOT Analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Based on the results of IFAS matrix analysis, the main strength is the ballroom sales can help increase hotel revenue, while the main weakness is the incentives imposed by the sales & marketing departments are less appropriate. Based on the EFAS matrix analysis, it was discovered that the main opportunity was the ability of sales & marketing to bring in customers while the main threat faced was the budget considered by the customer. The IE Matrix study results put the company in the Growth Strategic (Cell II) position. SWOT analysis produced eight alternative strategies of marketing strategies from the eight strategies and obtained three marketing strategies that were prioritized and calculated through QSPM Matrix with a total TAS of 181.29.
