One of the efforts that should be conducted by a businessman to compete in the global world is that understanding the situation and mastering market strategy. This study aimed to determine and analyze competitive strategies and improve competitive qualities contained based on SWOT analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This study conducted qualitative descriptive research. The data was obtained from observation, interview, and library study. The data were analysed based on IFAS matrix, EFAS matrix, SWOT diagram and SWOT Matrix. The results of this study indicate that durian pancake medium enterprise of SALINARY used product strategy and good service strategy to the customer. Business strategy was good enough but still need to do evaluation in more strategy to develop Durian pancake business. Based on SWOT Analysis, to improve the Quality of durian Pancake Business it was necessary to apply aggressive strategy or SO strategy. Therefore, Durian Pancake Enterprises could empower the opportunities to exist.

Early in 2020, Indonesia was shocked by the massive spread of the Covid-19 virus which made the industrial sector experienced a decline, both large and micro, small, and medium enterprises including furniture craftsmen. This study aims to determine the Furniture Crafts Development Strategy for the Covid-19 Pandemic. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach, the informants were selected using purposive sampling technique as many as 5 trading businesses. The data collection method used in-depth interviews and field observations. Data analysis using SWOT analysis to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results showed that competitive strategies that can be used to maximize strengths and opportunities as well as minimize weaknesses and threats in the business of furniture craftsmen in the Ponorogo regency are market development strategies, product development, and development. Innovation, including improving and maintaining good communication with networks and consumers, cooperating with new networks, and increasing quality and innovation to maintain loyalty and attract new customers

Tight competition among hotels in Special Region of Yogyakarta requires each hotel to implement its best business strategy to guarantee their business goals as targeted. The hotels, therefore, needs to manage their strategy. Strategy management is a science that learn how to manage a company in a comprehensive and integrated way; it provides reasons what make some companies achieve their glorious time and some companies do not. This research aims to formulate Business Strategic Planning for Hotel Grand Keisha in order to win competition. This research employs analytical methodology of PESTLE (Politic, Economic, Social, Technology, Legal and Environment), SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats) by using EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) matrix, IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) matrix, SWOT matrix, and Grand Strategy matrix. This is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, triangulation, and literature study. Quality and rating of this research is gained through Focused Group Discussion. This research shows that Hotel Grand Keisha obtains 2.56 of EFAS – 2.52 of IFAS and place Hotel Grand Keisha on Quadrant 1 with alternative strategies of market penetration, market development, and product development. Spatial potentials and problems in coastal areas are complex, ranging from potential and economic problems, geographical vulnerability, social vulnerability to human resources and resources being managed less than optimal. This study aims to develop a fishing village based on the concept of “Anak Nagari” as a new tourist destination in the city of Padang with community empowerment. This research uses qualitative descriptive research method with scoring/weighting analysis and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat). The result obtained is the high potential of fishing village of Pasie Nan Tigo with its many attractions of fishing communities’ activities and original environment that can be developed as tourist destinations. Having high access of location close to the center of Padang City and Minangkabau International Airport as its strength and opportunity, Pasie Nan Tigo Fisherman Village is a fishing village which still holds a strong social and cultural life of “Anak Nagari”. It exists as cultural treasure in the middle of modern life, but at the same time can also be a threat for the development of fishing village.

This study aims to find the strategy of developing MSMEs based on potential and opportunities in the period of covid-19. The research object is the MSME unit in Bandar Lampung City, especially MSME banana chips. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis with SWOT analysis. Based on the results it is known that the position of MSMEs is in quadrant I. The strategy of developing MSMEs is to increase the potential and take advantage of opportunities. One of the strategies is the utilization of information technology and social media in the development of MSMEs of the region's flagship banana chip products. The results of this research are expected to be useful as consideration for MSMEs to develop their businesses even during the COVID 19 pandemic. Likewise, for the government to actively socialize the use of digital media for MSMEs so that MSME development will increase. The limitation of this research is that it has not quantitatively calculated the role of social media and information technology in MSME development. This could be an opportunity for further research

As a public institution that has a mandate to manage the waqf cash fund, the waqf agency is required to be capable of managing the cash waqf fund and implementing the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a form of responsibility to public The impact of the implementation of GCG itself, in addition to improve the level of public trust, will increase the amount of fund accepted by the waqf agency. This research aims to describe the management of cash waqf and to analyze the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles respectively done and in BWU/T MUI DIY in the management of cash waqf. This is a qualitative-descriptive research using a case study approach aimed to describe the reality of the cash waqf management and the implementation of GCG principles in BWU/T MUI DIY. The results were then analyzed or measured using the theories relevant with the issues concerned. In addition, this research used SWOT analysis to observe the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges in managing the cash waqf faced by the BWU/T MUI DIY. Based on the results of the research, it can be found that in the management of the cash waqf done by BWUT MUI DIY overall has been implemented in accordance with the existing laws, either from legislation, regulation of religion minister, and regulation issued by BWI. Meanwhile for the implementation of GCG principles in the management of cash waqf done by BWUT MUI DIY recently has not been done maximally. Of five basic principles of GCG including transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence and fairness, in fact there are only two principles conducted entirely that is the principle of independence and fairness. On the other hand, the principles of transparency, accountability, and responsibility have not been applied entirely.

This research aims to determine the development of Industrial Revolution 4.0 technology in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, to improve the standard of quality business product brands by creating a web-based information system. To support this research, we used qualitative descriptive research methods to describe existing phenomena, both natural and human engineering, that pay more attention to the characteristics, quality, and interrelationships between activities. The results show that product brand development for web-based small and medium enterprises is compelling so that it will be able to compete with other business product brands globally. This is due to a web-based information system created to introduce various products, the owners of MSMEs products. The information system was designed to input the MSME owners' data, starting from product brands, catalogs, and services. Therefore, the information system can help marketing and improve the owners' ability in the product brand development that can be used to compete in the global market. That way, the society can access various information about superior products from the MSME owners who have a product quality is no less good than other excellent products.

This study aims to determine the priority strategies of several alternative strategies in IndiHome which are formulated using SWOT analysis. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data used are primary. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique and get seven informants. Primary data generated from the interviews were analyzed using SAP and ETOP to diagnose factors including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. After that, these factors are formulated in the SWOT matrix to determine alternative strategies. Strategy alternatives are then formulated in the QSPM matrix to obtain priority strategy results for IndiHome. The validity test in this study was carried out by triangulation of sources. The results showed that there were four alternative strategies for IndiHome Telkom Area of West Nusa Tenggara. Based on four alternative strategies, the priority strategy for IndiHome which is determined by QSPM matrix is to upgrade the quality of services provided to customers regularly with a total weight of 7,051. The results of this study are expected to be able to assist in the framework of thinking about strategic management knowledge in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry and also provide additional information and insights in the selection of alternative strategies as well as new insights about the condition of the company from an external perspective.
