While the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and new variants emerge, destinations and cities look to tourism recovery, cautiously rebooting and re-opening borders. Since the start of the pandemic, dramatic lockdowns have been employed, resulting in dire economic and social consequences to the tourism and hospitality industry and creating the need for a more feasible and sustainable response in the post-pandemic era. Pandemic vigilance and resilience at the societal level have become key in pandemic preparedness. However, due to the complexity of managing COVID-19, no clear cross-disciplinary collaborative framework for tourism recovery has been developed. Cross-sector collaboration to collectively integrate resources, capabilities, and experiences should be prioritised to spearhead tourism recovery plans. With insight on public health, pandemic preparedness, and community access, we hypothesised that cross-industry collaboration between the tourism industry and the pharmacist profession is relevant to the measures adopted for recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. To examine this hypothesis, this study aimed to explore perceptions from key stakeholders in the tourism and the pharmacist sectors on cross-industry collaboration towards COVID-19 management and the “know-how” in developing, adopting, and advancing such a partnership. This exploratory study adopts and advances the ‘Four Cs’ conceptual framework of communication, cooperation, coordination, and collaboration. In terms of our hypothesis, interview responses with tourism executives and CPs confirm the framework’s suitability and the importance of an interdisciplinary collaborative approach between CPs and the tourism sector to craft a sustainable pathway to recovery from COVID-19 and future pandemic measures as borders re-open and international mobility increases. A tourism recovery strategy from this pandemic can occur more judiciously through a collaborative partnership with an extensive network of pharmacists within communities and popular tourism sites, as CPs have valuable healthcare resources and the ability to track and communicate healthcare alerts to tourism destination recovery efforts.

Rapidly increasing of requirements of business pushed researchers to define new approaches and methodologies to meet marketing needs. Agile methodology has been created and replaced the traditional-driven development methods that focus on soliciting, documenting a complete set of requirements, and take a long time comparing to market change. On the other hand, customers need to be closer to the development process and collaborate with team development. Despite agile advantages, introducing new tools, coordination, and collaboration concepts, some challenges still need to be discussed and improved. These challenges relate to achieve balanced IT service development process in the organization. As a result, new trends have been created to facilitate new changes in software development. This chapter will study agile methodologies and different challenges with suggested solutions generated from agile philosophy itself.

With the spread of the global COVID-19 pandemic, agricultural food supply chains (AFSC) have suffered from unprecedented challenges and disruption. AFSC must possess extremely high levels of resilience when confronted by the pandemic. In this study, we have identified six important resilience criteria and eighteen sub-criteria of AFSC in the context of the COVID-19. The research presents the conceptual mixed multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) technology to prioritize the resilience criteria based on understanding their interrelationships. Results identify three essential resilience criteria, namely “coordination and collaboration in the supply chain”, “efficiency”, and “strategic management” and the top five key sub-criteria as “velocity”, “visibility”, “continuity management”, “connectedness”, “collaborative planning and replenishment”. The framework proposed in this study contributes to the interdisciplinary understanding towards building resilience within AFSC, and has the potential to be extended to other types of supply chains in response to COVID-19.

Decision and policymakers are looking at the potential of Industry 4.0 smart technologies to create a green economy as the European Commission aims to deliver the European Green Deal by rethinking policies for clean energy supply. Industry 4.0 will eventually be applied to all aspects of life; however, it is necessary to identify the challenges to the adoption of Industry 4.0 for a sustainable digital transformation. In this vein, the present study aims to identify the challenges to the adoption of Industry 4.0 in fintech companies and to develop a novel Fermatean fuzzy CRITIC-COPRAS method to rank the identified challenges and evaluate the performance of companies concerning the weighted challenges based on three decision experts’ support. The results indicated that “difficulty in coordination and collaboration” is the most significant challenge to the adoption of Industry 4.0 out of the fourteen identified challenges, followed by “resistance to change” and “governmental support.” In addition, the superiority and efficiency of the proposed method were investigated through comparative analyses.

This chapter historicizes, contextualizes, and theorizes the triangular relationship among governments, intelligence agencies, and democratic citizens in light of the observations and comparisons in this book. It posits accountability as a means to reconcile the apparent contradictions between the openness and transparency of democratic first principles on the one hand, and the power and secrecy of state intelligence on the other. Democracies constantly have to demonstrate their steadfast commitment to playing by the same rules they claim to value and defend as this practice ultimately sets them apart from authoritarianism. Intelligence accountability thus emerges as a quintessentially social process that is both integral and existential to democracy. Accountability tethers intelligence and security communities to the democratic society they serve and the rules, authorizations, and limitations it has imposed. In response to global threats and technological change, however, intelligence now coalesces as an epistemic community that cooperates across agencies, departments, and jurisdictions. Domestic, international, and supranational coordination and collaboration within intelligence communities and across the Five Eyes, other allies, partners, and beyond, vastly complicate the seemingly straightforward task of holding any one intelligence agency or community accountable. Accountability lags changing and expanded intelligence powers and capabilities, which can have deleterious consequences for public trust and support under which intelligence operates in a democratic society. Ergo, the lessons in the comparative study of intelligence are as much about reconciling intelligence and democracy as they are about innovation and adaptation in defending democracy as hostile state and non-state threat actors and vectors proliferate.

Immunization plays a significant role in reducing the mortality rate for children under five. Immunization has been proven to be an efficient and effective health effort in preventing and reducing morbidity, disability, and death due to diseases that can be prevented by immunization. Increasing the coverage of immunization needs to be considered by the government by involving the community and health offices, and other stakeholders.  Health centers should provide immunization services considering the immunization guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring adequate health workers (vaccinators).  Provide information about safe immunization services and coordination and collaboration with stakeholders (private and public sectors).

Abstract Objectives : The multisectoral problem of stunting with sensitive interventions is still a public health problem. This problem is due to complex factors that affect stunting programs across sectors to accelerate the stunting program for non-nutrition programs. This study aims to identify challenges in implementing sensitive interventions on stunting from regulation to implementation of activities. Methods : A qualitative multilevel approach was used for this research by conducting in-depth interviews, observation, and document review on the supply and demand aspects of the stunting-sensitive intervention program. The District of Health as the first level in the regulator, the Public health center as the implementer of the activity, and the community as the target of the activity were interviewed about the impact of regional regulatory innovations on stunting prevalence. Results This study explains that the families of stunting infants are not familiar with sensitive intervention activities and are still focused on specific packages. Coordination and collaboration, both intern level and between levels, have not been maximally implemented. The development of innovations in regional regulations has no impact on public health indicators both before and after the design is implemented. Conclusion for practices This research concludes that deploying cadres, transforming regulation inovation to social inovation and program managers trainning are crucial to accelerate sensitive intervention program.

The Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) as a mandatory document in the planning process carried out by local governments is one of the vital documents that determines the future development direction of an area. The purpose of this study was to determine the policy evaluation strategy aimed at the Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for the 2011-2016 period, with the locus of Cianjur Regency. The strategy that can be carried out by the Cianjur Regency government refers to the Priority scale pattern which is based on the calculation results of the Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP), which essentially follows the pattern; (1) dimension of perception equation, (2) dimension of accuracy, (3) dimension of equalization, (4) dimension of responsiveness. (5) the dimension of adequacy, (6) the dimension of efficiency, (7) the dimension of effectiveness. The results showed that in order to increase people's purchasing power and create a prosperous South Cianjur community, the Regional Government and DPRD of Cianjur Regency are expected to be able to increase synergy, both in the form of coordination and collaboration, especially in relation to the preparation of the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan in the coming period by making road infrastructure development one of the Cianjur Regency Development Missions. This is very important to do, so that road infrastructure development gets serious attention from various stakeholders.
