It is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system (which normally protects the health from foreign substances like bacteria and viruses will mistakenly attacks the joints). The greatest disadvantage of the presently available potent synthetic drugs lies in their toxic reactions and reappearance of symptoms after discontinuation. To overcome this effects herbs/herbal based preparation are used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Herbal medicines will act as parcels to human inorder to combat disease from the dawn of civilization. soil or known as soil transmitted helminth (STH). Infection caused by these parasites can be eradicated by giving synthetic drugs and herbal medicines. One of the plants that can be used as herbal medicine is ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.). chinese ketepeng leaves (Cassia alata L.) have one benefit, namely to treat intestinal worms. This study aims to determine the morphological changes of eggs Ascaris lumbricoides after the administration of ethanol extract of chinese ketepeng leaves (Cassia alata L.) with concentration 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%. The method used in this study is laboratory experiments. The results of this study indicate that the ethanol extract of chinese ketepeng leaves (Cassia alata L.) in concentrated 4% and 5% changes color in the eggs but there is no morphological change in eggs. From this study it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of chinese ketepeng leaves (Cassia alata L.) is not able to damage the morphologi of Ascaris lumbricoides worm eggs.

The increase of herbal medicine use led many scientists to contribute to the research in this field. Also a few pharmacologists, after an initial phase of correct criticisms, today recognize the possibility of investigating the scientific value of medicinal products composed essentially of vegetable extracts. However, it is logical to pose the questions: (i) is there a role for the pharmacologist in herbal medicine (or phytotherapy)? (ii) can we do without pharmacologists’? First, two worlds—drug researchers (pharmacologists) and herbal medicines—yesterday appearing in opposition, are today closer and it is not unusual to read scientific works describing herbal extracts in journals traditionally dedicated to the study of synthetic drugs. Second, clinical application of herbal medicines is evaluable through the methods of modern clinical pharmacology. Efficacy and safety of medicinal plants represent naturally the object of interest for the pharmacologist and it is surely this aspect which gives the most important information on herbal medicine use. Many plants have been studied and results published showing, one time good or another poor, efficacy. Safety aspects of some of the most frequently used plants are now well known. For example, today we learn to usehypericumand we do not give it to patients taking other drugs because the interactions ofhypericumwith them. Contraindications of other plants, often represented by interactions with drugs, are finally known (Ginkgo bilobaand drugs acting on blood coagulation). In conclusion, antagonistic behavior of pharmacologists versus herbal medicines is not useful. On the contrary, modern phytotherapy needs the contribution of researchers usually trained to evaluate efficacy and safety of medicinals.

Rheumatic diseases such as osteoarthritis (OA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and low back pain are very popular. The drugs available to treat these diseases are almost ineffective and have significant side effects. There are several approaches used to replace conventional drugs to treat these diseases. One of these methods is the use of herbal medicines. In this study, the effects of herbal medicines and medicinal plants used in the treatment of these diseases include. Searching for articles published in English from 1985 to 2020 using keywords include scientific and traditional names of plants reviewing Scopus and PubMed databases. There is limited research on the anti-rheumatic effects of these plants and the active ingredients. Therefore, further research is needed to determine the mechanism of action, the interaction of effects, the efficacy and safety of medicinal plants, and the potentially beneficial plant nutrients in treatment of these diseases seems necessary. The aim of this review was to update information on OA and chondrogenesis, also importance of herbal drugs for the management of arthritis.

There is increased use and popularity of herbal medicine in Nigeria in recent times. Scholars from different fields have attributed this recent upsurge to economic issues, high cost of modern medical care, loss of confidence in synthetic drugs, resistant of diseases to some modern drugs and easy accessibility of herbal medicines and its practitioners, amongst others. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a large portion of the world’s population patronizes traditional herbal medicines. However, there is perceived neglect of the core principles of health care ethics by the practitioners and marketers of traditional herbal medicine in Nigeria. This is worrisome. In this connection, this paper argues that Nigerians will benefit immensely from traditional herbal medicine if its practitioners and marketers observe and respect these core principles of health care which includes the principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, informed consent, justice, and truthfulness. This study is purely qualitative and adopts a textual critical analytic method.

The pharmacological mechanisms of the medicinal plants traditionally used for RA in Persian medicine are discussed in the current review. Further investigations are mandatory to focus on bioefficacy of these phytochemicals for finding novel natural drugs. Rheumatoid arthritis is chronic, progressive, disabling autoimmune disease characterized by systemic inflammation of joints, damaging cartilage and bone around the joints. It is a systemic disease which means that it can affect the whole body and internal organs such as lungs, heart and eyes. Although numbers of synthetic drugs are being used as standard treatment for rheumatoid arthritis but they have adverse effect that can compromise the therapeutic treatment. Unfortunately, there is still no effective known medicinal treatment that cures rheumatoid arthritis as the modern medicine can only treat the symptoms of this disease that means to relieve pain and inflammation of joints. It is possible to use the herbs and plants in various forms in order to relieve the pain and inflammation in the joints. There are so many medicinal plants that have shown anti rheumatoid arthritis properties. So the plants and plant product with significant advantages are used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The present review is focused on the medicinal plants having anti rheumatoid arthritis activity
