Abstract:: The metabolic diseases are the consequences of abnormal chemical reactions in the body leading to variation in the normal metabolic processes. These diseases have actually reached to an epidemic stage round the globe. Among the several types of metabolic disorders, type II diabetes is quite serious and dependent on glucose level in blood. The major challenge is the continuous monitoring of blood glucose level. Among the different blood sugar level diagnostic strategies, nanotechnology may offer several advantages over traditional systems owing to the better surface area of sensors, improved catalytic property of electrodes plus better handling. For this, reason, different types of nanosensors (to measure blood glucose level) and nanomaterials (to improve glucose sensor function) have been investigated by various researchers. This work is an effort to discuss the role of nanosensors and the major advancements that has been utilized so far for the effective and reproducible diagnosis of blood glucose level which may provide better and effective diagnosis for type 2 diabetes.

ABSTRACT: AUTOGENIC RELAXATION TECHNIQUES IN TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS WITH INSTABILITY PROBLEMS OF BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN PUTRI GREEN MEDAN TK II HOSPITAL Introduction:Diabetes Mellitus Type II is a metabolic disorder characterized by increased blood sugar levels accompanied by abnormalities in carbohydrates, proteins, and fats due to lack of insulin either due to pancreatic dysfunction or absolute insulin dysfunction. The instability of blood glucose levels in DM patients causes complications, so it is necessary to use autogenic relaxation techniques. Autogenic Relaxation is a form of mind body intervention, originating from within yourself in the form of words or short sentences that can make the mind calm by giving exercises to sit in a chair, leaning back on a chair, or problems on the floor by closing your eyes and breathing through your nose and exhale. through the mouth with the technique repeated for approximately 10 minutes do the procedure 2-3 times. Objective: The purpose of this scientific paper is to carry out health education about autogenic relaxation techniques in type II diabetes mellitus patients with blood glucose level instability problems at the Tk II Putri Hijau Hospital in Medan. Methods: The design of this research case study method is descriptive. The study sample consisted of 2 patients according to the inclusion criteria. Result: The results of the study after being given autogenic relaxation therapy in the first patient decreased by 91 mg/dl and the second patient decreased by 208 mg/dl. So that it can offer autogenic relaxation techniques in type II DM patients to reduce blood glucose levels. Conclusion: It is hoped that further researchers can conduct research by adding other characteristics that have not been studied related to the symptoms of type II DM patients. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus Type II, Blood Glucose Level Instability,       Autogenic Relaxation Technique  INTISARI: TEKNIK RELAKSASI AUTOGENIK PADA PASIEN DIABETES MILLITUS TIPE II DENGAN MASALAH KETIDAKSTABILAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH DI RUMAH SAKIT TK II PUTRI HIJAU MEDAN Pendahuluan: Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II merupakan kelainan metabolisme kronik yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar gula darah disertai dengan kelainan metabolisme karbohidrat, protein, dan lemak akibat kurang insulin baik karena disfungsi pankreas ataupun disfungsi insulin absolut.

Challenges in lifestyle, such as increasesin energy intake and decreasesin physical activity are causing overweight and obesity leading to epidemic increases in type II Diabetes Mellitus. The research approach used for this study was evaluative approach and the research design was true experimental design. 60 patients with type II diabetes, 30 in experimental group and 30 in control group were selected for this study by using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected with the help of self-structured interview schedule. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (chi-square, paired ‘t’ test) were used to analyse the data and to test the hypotheses. In the experimental group, the pre-test mean score was 2.966, mean percentage was 59% and standard deviation was 1.129 and in post-testmean score was 2.533, mean percentage was 50.66% and standard deviation was 1.074 with effectiveness of 8.34% and paired‘t’ test value of t=3.971,which was statistically significant (p<0.05) which is an evidence ofthe effectiveness of Amla juice in reducing blood glucose level. Comparison of blood glucose levels in experimental and control groups, shows that the value is statistically highly significant, as was observed from the unpaired ‘t’ test value of 13.39 with P value of <0.05, which is an evidence indicatingthe effect of Amla juice in reducing postprandial blood glucose levels. The resultsfound that the administration of Amla juice did have aneffect in reducing blood glucose level in the experimental group. By comparing the findings of pre-test and post test between the experimental group and the control group, the effect was identified (assessed). The study concluded that the Amlajuice is effective in reducing blood glucose level.

In this study, extreme velocity ultrasonic imaging pulse wave technology was used to detect the main indices of atherosclerosis such as carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) and carotid elasticity, and biochemical indices such as glycated hemoglobin, blood glucose and blood lipids in one hundred twenty 18–60-year-old patients with type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and 120 healthy controls. We analyzed the correlations between carotid elasticity, carotid IMT, and a range of biochemical indices. The results indicated that when the carotid IMT in young and middle-aged patients with T2DM was within the normal range (0.56±0.03 mm), the carotid artery elasticity was abnormal [Pulse wave propagation velocity (PWV)-BS = 7.69± 1.26 m/s; PWV-ES = 8.34±1.51 m/s; P < 0.05]. Additionally, PWV-BS was positively correlated with age, course of the disease, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and fasting blood glucose (FBG) (r = 0.297, 0.377, 0.369, 0.382), and PWV-ES was positively correlated with age, course of the disease, HbA1c, and FBG (r = 0.318, 0.386, 0.392, 0.339). This finding provides a basis for extreme velocity ultrasonic imaging pulse wave technology to become a new method for the early screening of atherosclerosis in patients with T2DM; this is important for timely clinical intervention in patients with T2DM.
