IMMEDIATE PROSTHESIS: LITERATURE REVIEW

The immediate total prosthesis is a device made before the exodontia and is installed soon after the accomplishment of the same ones. Faced with a situation in which the patient encounters the remaining condemned teeth, many resist to remain edentulous while awaiting the healing phase for the manufacture of a conventional total prosthesis; thus, the total immediate prosthesis becomes an ally in these cases, promoting the return of aesthetics, phonetics, chewing and social coexistence. Through a literature review, this work aims to clarify the pertinent issues of the immediate total dentures, where they were presented their classifications, advantages and disadvantages, indications and contraindications, technique of making this prosthetic device, besides post-installation care. Searches were made in the databases Scielo, Medline, Bireme, Google academic, Capes and books; using the key words: immediate total prosthesis; immediate oral rehabilitation; oral surgery and selected articles between the years 2009 to 2019. It was possible to conclude that the advantages of the rehabilitation with immediate prosthesis are very evident, being thus an advantageous alternative of treatment.

Choosing occlusion standards in dentures is a dilemma in oral rehabilitation, as it raises questions on which standard the dentist should use. This decision may influence the stability of the denture. Based on this problem, a literature review with articles published in the last five years, in search engines Pubmed.gov, Google Scholar and Scielo was performed. The keywords Prosthodontics, Occlusion and Edentulism were used. In this review, the articles on clinical trials and studies in silico, as well as relevant literature reviews were included. Although often the dentist may be resistant to use another type of occlusal pattern than balanced occlusion, it is important to emphasize advantages and disadvantages of occlusal arrangements in order to slow the residual ridge resorption and decrease muscle activity.

The article is devoted to the analysis of grammatical difficulties encountered in the process of automatic translation. The paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the SDL Trados automatic translation service. The types of grammatical errors when translating scientific and technical texts in SDL Trados are classified, the ways of overcoming them are outlined. The subject of the research is new tools for business financing using the initial coin offering (ICO) in the context of the development of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technologies as their basis. The purpose of the work was to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the ICO in comparison with traditional financial tools as well as prospects, limitations and problems of using digital financial tools. Conclusions are made in relation to possibilities, limitations and application areas of digital business financing tools, particularly in the real sector, taking into account the specifics of the Russian economy and legislation. It is shown that the main problems of using the digital financial tools are related to the economic sphere and caused by the lack of adequate approaches to evaluation of assets as well as the shortage of objective information. The problems and new tasks of corporate finance in the digital economy are defined.

: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic and complex metabolic disorder, and also an important cause of cardiovascular (CV) diseases (CVDs). Subclinical inflammation, observed in patients with type 2 DM (T2DM), cannot be considered the sole or primary cause of T2DM in the absence of classical risk factors, but it represents an important mechanism that serves as a bridge between primary causes of T2DM and its manifestation. Progress has been made in the identification of effective strategies to prevent or delay the onset of T2DM. It is important to identify those at increased risk for DM by using specific biomarkers. Inflammatory markers correlate with insulin resistance (IR) and glycoregulation in patients with DM. Also, several inflammatory markers have been shown to be useful in assessing the risk of developing DM and its complications. However, the intertwining of pathophysiological processes and the not-quite-specificity of inflammatory markers for certain clinical entities limits their practical use. In this review we consider the advantages and disadvantages of various inflammatory biomarkers of DM that have been investigated to date as well as possible future directions. Key features of such biomarkers should be high specificity, non-invasiveness and cost-effectiveness.

RESUMOO dente denominado incluso nada mais é que um dente retido ou impactado dentro do alvéolo dentário de maneira parcial ou completa que não conseguiu erupcionar por motivos patológicos ou simplesmente anatômicos após o período de rizogênese. O canino, em especial, é de suma importância sob os pontos de vista estético e funcional. O deslocamento do canino incluso ultrapassando, ou se aproximando da linha média antes da erupção dentária do mesmo, é mais frequente na mandíbula do que na maxila.  Este trabalho tem por objetivo descrever o caso de um paciente de 21 anos que apresentava um canino incluso na região mentual, em posição transversal, inicialmente visualizado em uma radiografia periapical e posteriormente submetido a radiografia com a técnica de Donavan. Através de uma radiografia oclusal, foi possível observar o posicionamento do dente para a vestibular mentoniana e íntima relação do dente retido com as raízes dos incisivos centrais decíduos do paciente. Foi realizada a extração do dente retido no mento, removendo o mesmo por completo sendo feitas osteotomias e odontossecções. O paciente está em acompanhamento clínico à 1 ano após o tratamento cirúrgico.Palavras – chave: Dente incluso; Cirurgia Oral; Imaginologia. ABSTRACTThe tooth inserted  is nothing more than a tooth retained or impacted within the dental socket partially or completely that failed to erupt for pathological or simply anatomical reasons after the period of rhizogenesis. The canine, in particular, is of the utmost importance from the aesthetic and functional points of view. The displacement of the canine, even surpassing or approaching the midline before tooth eruption, is more frequent in the mandible than in the maxilla. This work aims to describe the case of a 21 - year - old patient who had a canine included in the mental region, in a transverse position, which was initially visualized on a periapical radiograph and later submitted to radiography with the Donavan technique. An occlusal radiograph showed the positioning of the tooth for the mental vestibular and the intima relationship of the retained tooth with the roots of the patient's central deciduous incisors. Removal of the tooth retained in the denture was performed, removing the tooth completely and osteotomies and odontosections were performed. The patient is in clinical follow-up at 1 year after the surgical treatment. key words: Tooth included; Oral surgery; Imaginology.

Recent population migrations have led to numerous accidents and deaths. Little research has been done to help migrants in their journey. For this reason, a literature review of the latest research conducted in previous years is required to identify new research trends in human-swarm interaction. This article presents a review of techniques that can be used in a robots swarm to find, locate, protect and help migrants in hazardous environment such as militarized zone. The paper presents a swarm interaction taxonomy including a detailed study on the control of swarm with and without interaction. As the interaction mainly occurs in cluttered or crowded environment (with obstacles) the paper discussed the algorithms related to navigation that can be included with an interaction strategy. It focused on comparing algorithms and their advantages and disadvantages.

The European Commission has recently adopted the Renovation Wave Strategy, aiming at the improvement of the energy performance of buildings. The strategy aims to at least double renovation rates in the next ten years and make sure that renovations lead to higher energy and resource efficiency. The choice of appropriate thermal insulation materials is one of the simplest and, at the same time, the most popular strategies that effectively reduce the energy demand of buildings. Today, the spectrum of insulation materials is quite wide, and each material has its own specific characteristics. It is recognized that the selection of materials is one of the most challenging and difficult steps of a building project. This paper aims to give an in-depth view of existing multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) applications for the selection of insulation materials and to provide major insights in order to simplify the process of methods and criteria selection for future research. A systematic literature review is performed based on the Search, Appraisal, Synthesis and Analysis (SALSA) framework and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. In order to determine which MCDM method is the most appropriate for different questions, the main advantages and disadvantages of different methods are provided.

In recent years, impressive progress has been made in digital imaging and in particular in three dimensional visualisation and analysis of objects. This paper reviews the most recent literature on three dimensional imaging with a special attention to particulate systems analysis. After an introduction recalling some important concepts in spatial sampling and digital imaging, the paper reviews a series of techniques with a clear distinction between the surfometric and volumetric principles. The literature review is as broad as possible covering materials science as well as biology while keeping an eye on emerging technologies in optics and physics. The paper should be of interest to any scientist trying to picture particles in 3D with the best possible resolution for accurate size and shape estimation. Though techniques are adequate for nanoscopic and microscopic particles, no special size limit has been considered while compiling the review.

Purpose – This article examines Current CITE-ings from the Popular and Trade Computing Press, Telework and Telecommuting Design/methodology/approach – The methodology adopted is a literature review. Findings – Readily available technologies now allow librarians to perform most of their work-offsite. Some traditional building-based services such as reference, have been taken over by virtual reference and now even instruction offers options on par with or even better than classroombased questions such as a webinar that can be viewed and reviewed at any time or by having librarians embedded into various courseware packages. Researchlimitations/implications – Librarians no longer need be limited to a single library; groups of subject librarians can work together in the cloud to provide services to multiple universities. When considering methods for joining materials, there are many advantages that engineering adhesives can offer, compared to the more traditional methods of joining such as bolting, brazing, welding, mechanical fasteners, etc. The advantages and disadvantages of using engineering adhesives are discussed and it is shown that it is possible to identify three distinct stages in the formation of an adhesive joint. Firstly, the adhesive initially has to be in a ‘liquid’ form so that it can readily spread over and make intimate molecular contact with the substrates. Secondly, in order for the joint to bear the loads that will be applied to it during its service life, the ‘liquid’ adhesive must now harden. In the case of adhesives used in engineering applications, the adhesive is often initially in the form of a ‘liquid’ monomer which polymerizes to give a high molecular weight polymeric adhesive. Thirdly, it must be appreciated that the load-carrying ability of the joint, and how long it will actually last, are affected by: (a) the design of the joint, (b) the manner in which loads are applied to it and (c) the environment that the joint encounters during its service life. Thus, to understand the science involved and to succeed in further developing the technology, the skills and knowledge from many different disciplines are required. Indeed, the input from surface chemists, polymer chemists and physicists, materials engineers and mechanical engineers are needed. Hence, the science and technology of adhesion and adhesives is a truly multidisciplined subject. These different disciplines have been brought together by developing a fracture mechanics approach to the failure of adhesive joints. The advances that have been made in applying the concepts of fracture mechanics to adhesive joints have enabled a better understanding of the fundamental aspects of adhesion and the more rapid extension of adhesives technology into advanced engineering applications.
