The paper presents a study of modern social practices of health care in the family. The problem of research is determined by the need to implement health-saving technologies such as living conditions and family life, as well as the introduction of social practices of healthy lifestyles in primary groups. The relevance of the topic is determined by the conditions for the development of modern Russian society, which are characterized by the need to form a social institution of healthy lifestyle and mandatory components in the form of social practices for informal groups. From this perspective, the natural course of development is the institution of the family, which takes on the task of introducing a healthy lifestyle as a system of daily activities. The study is based on the institutional analysis of health-preserving technologies in the family, the basis for the analysis was the theoretical and methodological principles of studying society as a social system (T. Parsons, N. Luhmann). The model for representing health-saving technologies in the everyday practices of the modern Russian family is based on the model of systems of social actions by T. Parsons and the model of the functioning of the family as a social institution by R. Merton. The empirical base is based on the author's sociological research: a survey, an expert survey, document analysis, macrosociological analysis and modeling (from 2016 to 2021), as well as the results of studies conducted by All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), The Levada Center (2018). As a result of the research, an analysis of the social practices of a healthy lifestyle in a modern Russian family was carried out; the components of a healthy lifestyle were presented as a condition for the development of health-saving technologies in the daily actions of an individual. The model of social practices of healthy lifestyles in a modern Russian family is based on the institutional analysis of the family.

AbstractIn the past times, we have assisted to a transformation of social, political, economic and cultural order that let us feel their influence in the educational institutions. From being a limited place exclusively to the transmission of content, the school has become now a day in a place that must be part of our life’s. Before such a change of perspective, it is wonderful that such the family as the school have to redefine their functions. In coherence with the above, it makes it necessary to establish a dialog between the diverse social agents (school-family-society) in order to achieve a common goal: the integral development of the student. The main purpose of this investigation is to analyze the collaboration and implication of the families in the schools. Thus, we have supported in an interpretative paradigm of quantitative and qualitative cut, counting with a constituted sample by 268 families and 18 teachers belonging to two educational centers from the province of Málaga. One of the conclusions which are derived from our study is that the communication and cooperation between two different agents that they establish the educational community is overriding to guarantee a quality education.

This article attempts to identify gender stereotypes of modern youth living in a large peripheral city in the field of family life and intergenerational and gender relations. According to a number of researchers, in the modern world there is a "global disintegration" of the traditional system of division of social labor, power relations between men and women, which inevitably leads to the transformation of marriage and family relations. Thus, modern women are increasingly involved in the material support of the family, men are more engaged in household chores than before, participate in the education and development of children, etc. And, therefore, it is necessary to study this aspect of sociology in order to rid society of existing prejudices, stereotypes associated with the behavior patterns of men and women. The formation of gender identity is one of the first forms of human socialization. A family is the primary institution that a person gets into, and, consequently, the development of gender roles takes place here. Gender socialization affects the relationship between the sexes, allows men and women to communicate. However, it is often possible to notice misunderstandings between the sexes, which leads to the formation of stereotypes, as well as various social problems, such as: gender discrimination, a large number of divorces, domestic violence. It was supposed to find out what is the basis for the formation of such stereotypes in modern Russian society. Thanks to the results obtained, specialists working with families, as well as working with young people, will be able to improve the culture of serving visitors of different socio-demographic groups and plan their professional activities more carefully.

The study of the processes of genesis, renewal and evolution of the modern Russian society is impossible without studying innovative social and cultural roles and norms, where special attention is paid to a fundamentally new way of women's existence in ethnocultural communities. Their social and cultural status is changing in the modern globalization and information society, in connection with which the issues related to the revision and adjustment of traditional positions and views on gender stereotypes, the distribution of emphasis in the field of gender equality, and ideas about the business activity of women are being actualized. To solve research problems, a structural-functional method, comparative analysis, a socio-gender approach with the use of the principles of consistency, historicism, objectivity have been used, allowing to analyze the nature of modifications in women's business activity. It has been noted that in the region under consideration there is a special transformation of gender stereotypes, a specific delimitation of the space of "masculine" and "feminine", which, on the one hand, are conditioned by the patriarchal nature of traditional culture, the presence of stable religious factors, a special mentality, and on the other hand, by the general desire for the processes of globalization, development of civil society. In this regard, the problem arises of the formation and assimilation of values by women in modern society. It has been revealed that modern representatives of the fairer sex are clearly aware that it is necessary to strive for greater financial independence, to have their own stable income in order to feel confident in the future, despite the ongoing socio-economic changes that have lead to the transformation of family relations and the culture of society. At the same time, a woman's business activity is aimed at controlling time in favor of preserving many traditional views on the position of women in the community of the region and finding a balance between work and family, innovations and traditions.

Background: Investigation of rare bleeding disorders in Latin-America. Objective: The report of a new case of FX deficiency due to a compound heterozygosis. Methods: Accepted clotting procedures were used. Sequencing of DNA was carried out by means of Applied Biosystems Instruments. Results: A compound heterozygote due to the association of a new mutation (Gla72Asp) with an already known mutation (Gly154Arg) of the FX gene is reported. The proposita is a 38 year old female who had a moderate bleeding tendency (menorrhagia, epistaxis, easy bruising). The proposita has never received substitution therapy but in the occasion of a uterine biopsy. The mother was asymptomatic but was a heterozygote for the new mutation. The father was asymptomatic but had deserted the family and could not be investigated. After this abandonment the mother of the proposita re-married with an asymptomatic man and she gave birth to a son who was asymptomatic but was also heterozygous for the new mutation (Gla72Asp). As a consequence it has to be assumed that the first husband of the mother of the proposita was heterozygous for the known mutation (Gly154Arg). Conclusion: This is the third case of a new mutation in the FX gene reported, during the past few years, in Argentina.

Abstract Members of the adhesion family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) have received attention for their roles in health and disease, including cancer. Over the past decade, several members of the family have been implicated in the pathogenesis of glioblastoma. Here, we discuss the basic biology of adhesion GPCRs and review in detail specific members of the receptor family with known functions in glioblastoma. Finally, we discuss the potential use of adhesion GPCRs as novel treatment targets in neuro-oncology.

Recent decades have seen an increase in women’s employment rates and an expansion of egalitarian values. Previous studies document the so-called “motherhood penalty,” which makes women’s employment more difficult. Demands for greater shared child-rearing between parents are hindered by a normative climate that supports differentiated gender roles in the family. Using data from the Center for Sociological Research [Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas] (2018), this study shows that the Spanish population perceives that differentiated social images of motherhood and fatherhood still persist. The “sexual division in parenting” index is proposed and the profile of the individuals who most perceive this sexual division is analyzed. The results show that women and younger people are the most aware of this social normativity that unequally distributes child care, making co-responsibility difficult. The political implications of these results are discussed.

In what might be called the ‘austerity-driven hypothesis’, a consistent strand of literature has sought to explain the prison downsizing witnessed in many jurisdictions of the global north over the past decade by referring to the financial crisis of the late 2000s to early 2010s and its effects in terms of public spending cuts. Since this economic phase is essentially over, whereas the (moderate) decarceration turn is still ongoing, there are good reasons to challenge this hypothesis. This article delves into the non-economic forces that are fostering a prison population decline that, 10 years on, is becoming the new ‘penal normal’. The article thereby aims to spark a dialogue not only with the scholarship exploring the prison downsizing but also with certain theoretical frameworks that have played a key role in examining the punitive turn era. Additionally, the article contributes to the conversation on the need to reframe materialist readings on penality in a ‘non-reductionist’ fashion. By revisiting heterodox theses and scrutinizing the impact of recent penal changes on traditional materialist accounts, the article joins the collective endeavour seeking to update political economic perspectives on punishment and the penal field.
