Emotional intelligence among students of the kindergarten department

The aim of the research is to identify the level of emotional intelligence among students of the Kindergarten Department in the College of Basic Education for the academic year 2020-2021 in the College of Basic Education / Al-Mustansiriya University. To achieve the objectives of the research, the emotional intelligence scale prepared by (Hassan 2015) was adopted, which consisted of (50) items, and the necessary standard characteristics were extracted for it. The sample results were extracted after using the appropriate statistical methods;- The students of the Kindergarten Department have a high level of emotional intelligence, where the calculated T-value reached (40.87), which is higher than the tabular value of (1.96) at the level of significance (0.05) and in the light of the results, recommendations and suggestions for future studies were made. key words:- emotional intelligence

Nowadays, almost all sectors especially service ones are aware of the fact that the presence of employees who have high level of emotional intelligence and innovative work behaviors is crucial so as to perform efficiently and productively. Since customer satisfaction and customer loyalty are the main primacy for the banking sector, they need to keep up with all kinds of changes and developments to resist and gain advantages over their competitors subject to the highly increase of competition worldwide.  The main reason of applying this study on the banking sector is its dynamic structure that has been changed both positively and negatively owing to the economic crisis. In connection with this, it is aimed to present the importance of emotional intelligence and innovative work behaviors on the success of banking sector through the analysis of two variables in terms of their relationship between each other. Additionally, it is intended for setting forth the differences of state-owned and private banks in terms of the level of emotional intelligence and innovative work behaviors. As a data collection tool, questionnaire technique has been used. It has been benefited from the emotional intelligence scale developed by Wong and Law to obtain the data related to emotional intelligence level; and the innovative work behaviors scale developed by Janssen to obtain the data related to innovative work behaviors. The findings obtained from the questionnaire were applied to 332 employees in Turkish banking sector.

The study aimed at investigating the Attitudes of the students of the College of Basic Education Towards the implementation of Moodle System in managing University E-Courses to Enhance the Learning Process in Kuwait. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method and then developed a questionnaire to measure students’ attitudes towards the use of Moodle system in E-courses management. The study tool was divided into two domains; striving for the benefit of Moodle system and the importance of using the Moodle system, the study tool’s reliability and validity were verified. The study sample consisted of (397) bachelor (male and female) students from the college of Basic Education in the Public authority for applied education and training in Kuwait. The findings revealed that the student’s tendency towards using Moodle system in university E-courses management came medium. The results also showed no statistically significant differences due to the effect of sex in all domains and the full degree. The existence of statistically significant differences due to the academic level’s effect in all fields and the differences came in favor of the first and second academic year in all domains and the full degree.

    Affixation is the formation of  a new word from an existing word ,root ,or stem ,by the addition of a prefix or suffix or by other means (Jackson,1985:34).The present study is an attempt to identify the errors made by Iraqi EFL learners in the Department of English / College of Basic Education, University of Babylon in using verbal affixes. This study aims at :(1)Presenting a brief and relevant background of verbal affixes, (2) Identifying and classifying the errors made by the fourth year students in the English Department, College of Basic Education/ University of Babylon during the academic year (2016-2017), and (3) Locating the areas of difficulty that Iraqi EFL learners encountered in learning verbal affixes.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between 21st century skills and emotional intelligence of teacher candidates. In addition, it was investigated whether teacher candidates’ levels of 21st century skills and emotional intelligence differ significantly according to various variables. This research, which was designed according to the relational screening model, was conducted with 312 teacher candidates studying at Inonu University Faculty of Education. “Multidimensional 21st Century Skills Scale” and “Emotional Intelligence Scale” were used to collect data in the study. Descriptive statistics, difference analysis, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis of the research data, it was found that teacher candidates’ 21st century skills and emotional intelligence are at a high level, that the emotional intelligence and 21st century skill levels of teacher candidates do not differ significantly according to gender, but those who have medium and high overall academic success are 21st. century skills and emotional intelligence levels were found to be high and significantly different. In addition, in the study, it was found that there was a significant, medium, positive relationship between 21st century skills and emotional intelligence of teacher candidates, It was concluded that the level of predicting 21st century skills of emotional intelligence is statistically significant. In the process of preparing students for the future, suggestions were made for the development of 21st century skills and emotional intelligence.

The development of emotional intelligence in early adolescence is important and urgent problem, since at this age the need for communication is actively realized, manifesting itself in behavioral patterns as types of interpersonal behavior that poorly understood. The problem of the study is to identify components of emotional intelligence and types of interpersonal behavior of respondents with high and low sociometric status. Research hypothesis: the combination of the level of emotional intelligence components development and the prevailing types of interpersonal behavior are associated with the achievement of high or low sociometric status. The study sample consisted of 956 people: 456 girls (47.7%) and 500 boys (52.3%) aged 16-17. Research methods: a questionnaire of emotional intelligence "Emin" by D.V. Lyusin; test "The Interpersonal Diagnosis of Personality" by T. Leary; sociometry by J. Moreno in the adaptation by M.R. Bityanova. The relationship between emotional intelligence, the prevailing types of interpersonal behavior, and the sociometric status was studied using mathematical statistics methods of SPSS Statistics 20 program (cluster analysis procedure). Six clusters were identified. They describe the combination of components of emotional intelligence and the prevailing type of interpersonal behavior between young men and women with low and high sociometric statuses. Comparison of cluster indicators revealed significant differences at a high level of significance (α<0.01) across all scales. Thus, the hypothesis was confirmed. The research has a high practical significance because it opens up opportunities for the development of emotional intelligence, as well as the harmonization of interpersonal relations.

The present study examines the role of Emotional intelligence, as measured by Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS), in relation to Traits of anxiety (Emotional instability, Suspiciousness, Guilt proneness, Low integration and Tension), as measured by Anxiety Scale (IPAT). A total of 599 adults, between the ages of 20 to 50 were asked to complete the questionnaires. The mean score on total anxiety verified that the highest level of El tolerated the lowest anxiety, which was followed by subjects with medium and low levels of El. The results of the Low self control (Q3) and Emotional Instability(C) traits, displayed that the highest level of El yielded the lowest scores on those traits. The findings reported that the trait of Suspicion was tolerated same among the groups. On the other hand both the Apprehension and Tension traits pushed up on the high level of El. In the case of medium level of El, people were engaged with all of the traits on an average but the Apprehension was increased in this group in comparison to the other traits.

With increased advance in technology, the need to be in harmony with this advance in the world in order to fulfill the necessities of Iraqi EFL students who have become ambitious for knowledge using technology cannot be ignored. Thus, technology has become a part of teaching tools as well as a support for learning a foreign language. Every day, the students are exposed to the Internet that presents a variety of tools for learning more easily and effectively.         At present, Facebook is one of the most commonly used social web sites that influence students' life in many aspects including education, especially in English language learning. It provides them with more opportunities to be involved in practice English language authentically outside the classroom, to learn consciously and unconsciously and to consolidate their foreign language skills.        The present study aims at identifying the pros and cons of using Facebook as a tool for learning English language based on Iraqi EFL students' perspective.                                     To achieve the aim of the current study, a sample of (30) male and female EFL students were chosen from the 4th year/ College of Basic Education/ Mustansiriyah University during the academic year 2018-2019 and questionnaires were implemented for data collection. The results of the data analysis included their perceptions and pointed out the benefits and criticism related to Facebook and learning English.                In the light of the obtained results, some conclusions are drawn and a number of recommendations and suggestions for future studies are stated.

ABSTRACT This study aims to find out the effect of Psychology Trait on Students’ Speaking Achievement. The population of the study was the second year students in the academic year 2011 / 2012 at SMP HKBP Medan in two classes with a total of 64 students. Ten students were selected by using random sampling technique. The first group (5 students) was the extrovert group, while the second group (5 students) was the introvert group. The instruments of collecting data were questionnaire and oral test. The data were analyzed by using the Kruskal Wallis Test. The result of the analysis showed that the H = X2 value was higher than chi square table value (4.81 > 3.94) at the level of significance 0.05 with a freedom degree of 10. It means that there was a significance effect of Psychology Traits on Students’ Achievement in Speaking. Key Words: Pschology Traits, Speaking, Introvert, Extrovert.
