This research is based on the theory that mathematical connections are established by solving problems in different ways in the study and teaching of mathematics. Based on one-on-one interviews with 12 secondary school teachers in Mongolia and two group meetings, we showed that the difference between theoretical advice and school practice in a multitasking environment depends on the basic quality of the teachers’ knowledge. A complex relationship has been revealed between different types of teachers’ knowledge.

The aim of this research is to investigate related effect of dyeability to linen textiles related to different printing parameters. The study investigated the change in color characteristics when printing on linen fabrics with an inkjet MIMAKI Tx400-1800D printer with pigmented TP 250 inks. The dependence of color reproduction on linen fabrics on the number of print head passes, number of ink layers to be coated, linen fabric density, and different types of linen fabric was investigated. All this affects the quality of print and its mechanical properties. The change in color characteristics on different types of linen fabrics was determined experimentally. We determine at which print settings the most accurate color reproduction can be achieved on different linen fabrics. The difference between the highest and the lowest possible number of head passages was investigated. The possibilities of reproducing different linen fabric colors were determined.

Exposure to different types of radiation is an integral part of everyday life (e.g. cosmic radiation, radon, medical applications, cell phones, etc.). Therefore, the general public should adequately be informed on the issue from an early age in order to develop a realistic understanding of the associated risks and the necessary safety culture. In this respect, the quality of the related information provided in the school textbooks is of great importance. The present work demonstrates a quantified assessment of high school textbooks regarding the information on different radiation-related topics provided to students. The assessment was carried out based on an anonymous online survey with the participation of a total of 347 high school teachers. According to the results of the survey, the high school textbooks address radiation issues in a sparse, occasional, and fragmentary manner. Moreover, the results indicate that the quality of information they provide was judged as unsatisfactory in terms of scientific correctness, completeness, clarity-comprehensiveness and objectivity. Radiation protection and applications of non-ionizing radiation are the topics that are covered to a lesser extent in the textbooks and curricula evaluated.

Aim: To evaluate the effect of irrigation techniques, i.e. different types of irrigation needles, on the quality of cleaning of root canal walls using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Material and Method: The study was conducted on 16 extracted, single-rooted, human teeth. The samples were allocated to two experimental groups depending on the type of the irrigation needle. Conventional needles were used for the irrigation of Group I and laterally perforated ones for Group II. All root canals were instrumented using K files and the Step-back technique. During instrumentation, all samples were irrigated with 2.5 % sodium hypochlorite solution followed by final irrigation with 17 % EDTA for 1 min. After that, all samples were irrigated with 10 ml of distilled water. The roots were, then, sectioned longitudinally and middle one third of each root canal was analyzed using SEM. Quantitative analysis was based on criteria by H?lsmann et al. Results: The obtained results showed that the more efficient removal of debris and the smear layer was accomplished in the group of samples irrigated using laterally perforated needles than conventional needles. The difference between the investigated irrigation techniques were statistically significant (p<0.01). Conclusion: The use of laterally perforated needles for irrigation allows more efficient cleaning of root canal walls, i.e. the removal of debris and the smear layer.

The problem of poor quality in education has been traced to a number of causes, which include socio-economic factors, teacher-related factors, inadequate learning materials, and the short and congested school curriculum, among others. With this result, it is therefore imperative to organize remediation programs in low performing schools to address the needs of the learners to achieve desired learning outcomes and to enhance faculty’s teaching competence. The study determined the remedial teaching practices employed by secondary school teachers in both public and private schools in Northern Samar. It also found out the difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices as perceived by the teachers and students and if there was a significant difference between the extent of practices of public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar. The descriptive-comparative method was utilized in the study using a researcher-made survey questionnaire as the primary instrument. The study was conducted in twenty (20) public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar selected based on the results of the National Achievement Test (NAT) from 2010 to 2011. Frequency counts, percentages, and weighted mean computations were used to analyze the data obtained. The t-test was used to test the difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices as perceived by the secondary teachers and students and the difference in the extent of remedial teaching practices among public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar. The remedial teaching practices of the secondary school teachers were rated “extensive” by both teachers and students. There was a significant difference between the perceptions of the secondary school teachers and the students on the extent of remedial teaching practices but there was no significant difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices of the public and the private secondary schools in Northern Samar.

The study aimed at identifying the reality of education on international citizenship in Jordanian schools from the point of view of the secondary school teachers in Jordan and knowing that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (&alpha; = 0.05) in the sample of the study due to gender, specialization and years of experience. The study consisted of (33) items divided into (3) areas (school administration, school curriculum and teacher), and the sample of the study consisted of (516) teachers and teachers of secondary school in Balqa Governorate. the tool. The results showed that the reality of education on global citizenship in Jordanian schools from the point of view of teachers came to a medium degree of the tool as a whole, and where the order of areas as follows: teacher, school administration, school curriculum. The results also showed that there were significant differences in (&alpha; = 0.05) in the field of school administration due to the gender variable and for the benefit of males, and there were no statistically significant differences in the school curriculum, teacher and the tool as a whole due to gender variable. (1 to 5 years), and there were no statistically significant differences in the school curricula, school administration, and the whole instrument due to the difference in specialization. For the variable of experience of the recommendations in the light of the results reached by the need to rehabilitate and train teachers and school administrations on how to achieve education on global citizenship by subjecting them to multiple training programs before and during the service and the need to include values, knowledge and skills of education on global citizenship in the school curriculum more clearly and accurately. Which is based on critical thinking, problem solving, cooperative work and work through projects.

The present research work aimed at finding out the difference between secondary and higher secondary school teachers on Self-esteem. For this purpose a total sample of 240 school teachers. Among them 120 secondary and 120 higher secondary school teachers. Data was collected by using Self-esteem scale developed by “Roseberry,(1965)”. Results were analyzed by using F- Anova. Results revealed that there is no significant difference between secondary and higher secondary school teachers on Self-esteem.

This study was conducted with the following objectives: 1) to determine the performance ratings of the secondary school teachers as evaluated by their administrators; 2) to establish the relationship between the performance ratings of the secondary school teachers as evaluated by their superiors and their teaching effectiveness as evaluated by their students; and 3) to determine whether or not there is a significant difference in the quality of teaching among the secondary teachers in the different public schools serving as respondents of the study. Spearman Rho Correlation Coefficient was used to establish the relationship between the secondary teachers' ratings in the RPAST and their teaching effectiveness. The study revealed that 1) the average performance efficiency ratings were 87.61, 82.40, and 65.71 for INHS, KNHS and TNHS, respectively, with descriptive equivalents of very satisfactory for INHS and KNHS and satisfactory for TNHS, 2) there was no correlation between the performance ratings of the secondary teachers and their teaching effectiveness as perceived by students because of the lower ratings from the students compared to the higher ratings given by the administrators to their teachers; and 3) there was a significant difference in the quality of teaching among the secondary teachers in the three public schools service as respondents of the study.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the difference in the adsorption behavior of different types of bovine salivary proteins on the PMMA and Ti QCM sensors are fabricated by spin-coating and sputtering onto bare QCM sensors by using QCM and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). SPM, XPS, and contact angle investigations were carried out to determine the chemical composition and surface wettability of the QCM surface. We discuss the quality of each sensor and evaluate the potential of the high-frequency QCM sensors by investigating the binding between the QCM sensor and the proteins albumin and mucin (a salivary-related protein). The SPM image showed a relatively homogeneous surface with nano-order roughness. The XPS survey spectra of the thin films coated on the sensors were similar to the binding energy of the characteristic spectra of PMMA and Ti. Additionally, the amount of salivary-related protein on the PMMA QCM sensor was higher than those on the Ti and Au QCM sensors. The difference of protein adsorption is proposed to be related to the wettability of each material. The PMMA and Ti QCM sensors are useful tools to study the adsorption and desorption of albumin and mucin on denture surfaces.
