With the interest to reuse and recycle the wastewater for technological use, this project aims to test the treatment of wastewater from poultry slaughterhouse industry from three main sections of the poultry slaughtering process, defeathering, eviscerating and cooling processes. The samples for the project were obtained from Izhevskoe a Kazakhstani company. The technology used is a combination of electrocoagulation, ultrafiltration, and photochemical system and its goal is to provide treated water that can be re-utilized in the poultry industry for sterilization of technical equipment without contaminating and affecting the quality of the poultry products. The treatment of wastewater samples lasted in total for 40 min. From the results, it was found that indicators such as BOD, COD, and phosphates had removal efficiency of almost 100%, while the microbiological colonies were all eradicated from then wastewater making the treated water microbes free. Hence, proving this system to be effective for the treatment of poultry slaughterhouse wastewater and safe for technological reutilization.

This study was conducted to show the influence of upward velocity in the inner column and downward velocity in the outer column of the coaxial cylinder-type flotation column on the solids removal efficiency, solids concentration in the treated water, and so on. The SIMPLE (Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure Linked Equation) solution was applied to the coaxial flotation column to simulate the velocity vectors of the elements of water flowing in the column. The effects of solids loading and residence time in the agglomerate separation zone on the solids removal efficiency were also tested. In the pilot scale coaxial DAF column experiments with solids concentration of 1,000–2,000 mg of SS per liter and solids loading less than 350 kg/m2/day, approximately 90% of the solids removal efficiencies were obtained using the upward velocity of up to 110 cm/min in the contact zone of the inner column and the downward velocity of up to 30 cm/min in the outer column. In the simulation, similar results were observed as in the experiments. The solids loading in the excess of 350 kg/m2/day caused the instability of the sludge float layer and aggravated the quality of the treated water.

The article presents the results of a study of the peculiarities of the formation of advertising creativity in the poultry industry, reveals the essence of the concept of "advertising creative", analyzes the advertising campaigns of the industry leader – TM "Nasha Ryaba", defined the basic techniques, technologies, methods and factors for the development of an effective advertising creative for promoting the products of the poultry branch. According to the research, creative in advertising is the use of creative ideas and technologies to achieve the entrepreneurial goals of advertising, which impose certain restrictions on advertising creativity, directing it to the transmission of specific information. When developing an advertising creative to promote poultry products, it is advisable to appeal to perceptions and feelings and stimulate trial purchases. The main factors that need to be taken into account to increase the effectiveness of advertising communications of producers of eggs and poultry meat: the creative should reflect the difference between the advertised product and competitors' products, including due to its special quality parameters; it is important to show the convenience of product use, its freshness, usefulness, variety, high taste characteristics, unique production technologies; you need to communicate with your consumers by setting up a sale through network resources; if the product is a local manufacturer, then the consumer should be able to understand this; products in advertising creative should look attractive, appetizing, encourage approbation by their appearance, color, packaging, stimulating sensory sensations; the consumer should be aware of the company's environmental and social responsibility. When developing an advertising creative for promoting poultry products, traditional methods are acceptable: hyperbole, comparison, metonymy, associations, the focal objects method, synectics, and the like. A characteristic feature of the creative name in the poultry industry is the corresponding association with the product. Advertising campaigns of PJSC "Myronivsky Hliboproduct" reflect most of the factors of successful advertising creativity. They not only actively promote a specific brand of poultry meat, but often have other, more global goals - product propaganda, competitive confrontation, and the fight against prejudices regarding the quality of poultry meat grown in industrial conditions.

Radon is one of the contaminants that sometimes impair the water quality of wells, especially those drilled in bedrock. Domestic radon removal units based on aeration have been commercially available for more than ten years. In order to determine how effectively these units remove radon a new test protocol applying frequent sampling while letting 100 litres of water flow, was developed. This way, removal efficiencies can be more accurately calculated and possible malfunctions detected. Seven models of domestic aerators designed for removing radon from household water were tested. The aerators were based on diffused bubble aeration, spray aeration or jet aeration. The average removal efficiencies for 100 litres with a medium flow rate were 86–100% except for a unit that circulated the aerated water back to the well that had removal efficiency of 80% at the maximum. By conducting a questionnaire study usual problems related to the aeration units were localized and recommendations on maintenance and installation are given accordingly.

The background to and the rationale for the Guidelines for Municipal Type Wastewater Discharges in the Northwest Territories is discussed. Particu1ar attention is given to the development of Table 2.1, Effluent Quality of Municipal Wastewater Discharges, which was based upon expected lagoon performance. Also included is a discussion of the flow ratio and dilution ratio concepts. The viability of these concepts was assessed against the available data. It appears that the guidelines misjudged both the number of coliform bacteria in northern raw sewage and the removal efficiency for these organisms in lagoons. It appears unlikely that lagoons can consistently meet the guideline requirements. More information and research is necessary before a complete assessment can be performed.

This paper proposes a simple regression-based method for reducing the complexity of decisions in the international procurement process. Based on foreign trade data, the method uses indicators, which allow a product specific cross-section and longitudinal-section valuation of the international competitiveness and the supplied product quality of all potential supplier countries. The method thus provides a variety of information for procurement departments, including the present level and the dynamic of competitiveness and product quality for the potential supplier countries within every product group of the international product nomenclature (Combined System and the Harmonised System). Potential supplier countries --the companies of which have proven to be particularly competitive in the different product quality stages-- are identified. This pre-selection of countries enables the companies to limit their search for potential suppliers to the selected supplier countries. High search costs are subsequently reduced and trend prognoses can be constructed.

This article discusses the issue of hardened steel machining. Many components in the engineering industry use hardening as the final heat treatment. These components usually occupy a significant position in a given assembly unit. They guarantee the correct operation of the entire technical equipment in total cooperation with other components. The quality of these components depends on the integrity of their surface. The production of these parts is usually carried out by traditional technological procedures. Clearly, an example of such a technology is grinding. However, this article discusses the application of other finishing technologies using a tool material made of cubic boron nitride (CBN). The technology used is finishing turning with subsequent tumbling technology. The subject of the evaluation is the integrity of the surface. In this part of the experiments, there are mainly individual parameters of surface roughness. Compared components are bearing rings, in this case the inner surface of the housing ring.

In my study reveal the situation of the poultry industry. In my research, I used the regularly adopted qualitative method, i.e. the interview. I conversed with the managers of the most important poultry factories, and asked them about the position of the Hungarian poultry sector, the possibility of improving its position, the changes in consumer behaviour, in marketing strategies, means and methods.The managers talked about the necessity of collaborating between factories. They agreed on the dominance of commercial chains. In their opinion, these prejudice their chances. They emphasized about the increasing role of processed products and the growing number of sell-stimulated marketing means. The consumer behaviour has changed in the last 10 years too, which helps the market of processed poultry products.

Abstract Theoretical and applied aspects of the concept of using biomimetic protective coatings GREEN ARTICLE (ARTIficial cutiCLE) in the poultry industry, namely in the production of table and hatching eggs, are developed. The basic matrix component of the protective coatings GREEN ARTICLE is chitosan, an environmentally friendly, inexpensive, and harmless material. It is experimentally proved that electrochemical and ultrasonic technologies for modifying a solution of chitosan in peroxide compounds (peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide) with nanoparticles of oxides like titanium, iron, zinc, and metals, such as titanium, copper, and calcite, allow to create protective coatings of double action in accordance with the technologies: (a) extending the shelf life of table eggs, food green article (FGA) and (b) preventing contamination of hatching eggs with pathogenic microflora, increasing the hatchability of eggs, and the quality of chicken, hatching green article (HGA). In the technology of storing table eggs, artificial cuticles based on chitosan FGA are characterized by the following characteristics: increased thickness of 6–10 µm, low gas and moisture permeability, and high biocidal activity against pathogenic bacteria and viruses. It is shown that the use of FGA technology in the production of table eggs can extend the period of transportation and storage of products by 33–35 days at a temperature of 24°C and maintained a grade A (Haugh unit = 71–60) through the entire 35 days period. The technology HGA reduces the rate of contamination of hatching eggs with pathogenic microflora by 99.29–99.7%, while increasing the egg hatching rate by 2.3–11.6% compared to the control, depending on the cross of the poultry and the storage conditions of the hatching eggs. It is important that these technologies have a great prospect for application in countries that develop green technologies for the production of poultry products.
