The purpose of this research is whether there is influence or not on the application of Two Stay Two Stray learning model on fifth-grade student’s social science learning performance in AL-ISLAH Elementary school. The method applied by this research was a quantitative experiment. The design of thes research takes the fifth-grade students of AL- ISLAH Elementary school as the population and 30 of the total as the sample. The data collecting technique uses test. Meanwhile, the analysis of the data runs hypotheses test and Eta Squared formula. The result of the application of Two Stay Two Stray learning model on fifth-grade student’s social science learning performance in AL-ISLAH Elementary school showed that the t-account is more than t-table. It is 22,20>1,699. The acquired data shows if the application of Two Stay Two Stray learning models has an influence on fifth-grade student’s social science learning performence in  AL-ISLAH Elementary school. By  Eta Squared, it shows 0,94>0,14. Based on the data by Eta Squared indicates that the influence given is moderately big towards student’s learning performance.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Snowball Throwing (X1) and Problem Based Learning (X2) models on the students’ social science learning motivation at grade IV elementary schools. The results showed that the snowball throwing model increased the students’ learning motivation based on the value of Sig. (2-tailed) showing that 0.000 <0.05 or t-count 10.660> t-table 1.69236. moreover, problem based learning model also increased the students’ learning motivation based on the value of Sig. (2-tailed) showing that 0.000 <0.05 or t-count 9.603> t-table 1.68957. The results demonstrated that there were differences in the effect of Snowball Throwing model and Problem Based Learning model on students’ social science learning motivation at grade IV in the public elementary schools. This was supported by the mean score of the posttest in experiment 1 which was 74.93 and the mean score of the posttest in experiment 2 which was 71.94.

The purpose of this study were (1) to test the differences in learning outcomes of social science learning skills writing skills between PGSD students facilitated by field study learning models and mind map learning models; (2) testing the differences in learning outcomes of writing social science learning skills between students who have high and low achievement motivation; (3) examine whether there is an interaction between learning models and achievement motivation in learning outcomes of scientific writing skills in social studies learning papers The design of this research is factorial non-equivalent of control group design, in this study the number of samples is all students of Primary School Teacher Education who take the course of social science learning in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018 a number of 65 people, each consisting of 32 students, got treated with a field-based learning model and 33 students received a mind-based learning model. Based on the data analysis, the research results can be summarized as follows: (1)the use of field-based learning models is significantly superior to mind-based learning models; (2) students who have high achievement motivation shows the value of learning achievement of writing skills of scientific papers significantly better than those with low achievement motivation. (3) There is no interaction between groups of students who are taught using the learning model and achievement motivation of the students. The learning model does not affect the achievement motivation on the learning outcomes of students the skills to write scientific papers

This study deals with the effects of learning models of discovery learning and learning interest on social science learning outcomes in grade VII of Junior High School of Al-Azhar Medan. This study was conducted in the Even Semester of the Learning Year 2018/2019, which began in April to May 2019 with stages: observation, determining the experimental class and the control class, preparation of research instruments, instrument testing, pre-test administration, giving questionnaires of interest, treatment, giving post-tests, processing data, analyzing data, drawing conclusions. The conclusion of this study were there is a significant effects of learning models of discovery learning on social science learning outcomes in grade VII of Junior High School of Al-Azhar Medan (Fcount = 306,594; P = 0,000). There is a significant effects of learning interest in social science learning outcomes in grade VII of Junior High School of Al-Azhar Medan (Fcount 69,071; P = 0,000). There is a significant interaction between Discovery Learning models and learning interest in social science learning outcomes in grade VII of Junior High School of Al-Azhar Medan (Fcount = 5,288; P = 0,012).

Abstract This research was conducted with the main objective to develop a model of character education integrated with science learning in elementary, junior, and senior high schools. The research was focused on the needs analysis study involving 36 elementary school science teachers, 34 junior high school science teachers and 27 senior high school science teachers to collect information on science learning in relation to character education. Data were collected by questionnaires, observation and interviewing techniques. Data were analyzed by descriptive and qualitative meaning. The results showed that: 1) character education can be developed through selection of science learning model, assessment model, and teaching materials, 2) science learning models that contribute significantly to the development of the character of students are inquiry learning, problem-based learning, cooperative learning , science-technology-society, problem solving, and contextual learning models, 3) science teacher’s responses to the character education are generally very positive and seek to develop good character through a learning process, 4) some (55.3%) science teachers include indicators of character values that to be target of learning in the syllabus and lesson plans, and some (44.7%) do not explicitly specify its, but implicitly implied in the syllabus and lesson plans. Keywords: character education, integrated science learning

There is a tendency in the education field today to return to the idea that children will learn better if the environment is created naturally. Learning will be more meaningful if children "experience" themselves what they are learning, not 'knowing' it. Target-oriented learning of material mastery proves to be successful in short-term 'remembering' competitions, but fails to equip children to solve problems in long-term life. The problems that would to be studied in this study are: (a) how is the improvement of Social Science learning outcomes by applying the Make A-Match Model to it? (b) how does the Make A-Match Model apply towards the learning motivation? The objectives of this study are: (a) want to know the improvement in Social Science learning achievement after the implemetation of the Make A-Match Model. (b) want to know the effect of Make A-Match Model towards students’ motivation of the subject after it is applied. This research is used two rounds of action research. In each round consists of four stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection and revision. The target of this research is the fourth grade students of Mongodow. The data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of analysts obtained student achievement has increased from cycle I to cycle II namely, cycle I (65%), cycle II (83%). The conclusion of this research is the Make A-Match Model of Social Science learning could positively influence the motivation of learning of central students, and this learning model could be used as an alternative to Social Science learning.
