The Purpose of the study was to test the Pentagon theory of Contextualized Multiple Intelligences (CMIs) in the context of fourth industrial revolution. It also explored the awareness of students regarding the trends and challenges of future job market. Lastly, skills and competences required by graduate to meet the complexities of future job market were also investigated. This study followed the critical paradigm, therefore sequential explanatory mixed method research design was used. All the masters’ level students, heads of departments/ senior faculty members and experts of social sciences were considered as population for this study. Multistage sampling techniques was employed to select the sample size for quantitative phase (n=786). For qualitative phase, purposive sampling technique was used and 12 experts of social sciences were selected. Self-developed questionnaires were used to collect data from respondents. Contextualized Multiple Intelligences questionnaire has 32 statements under 6 factors with Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.92. Similarly, Future Job Market Prospects questionnaire has 20 statements under 4 factors with Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.91. Semi-structured Interview protocol was developed and used during the qualitative phase. Study revealed positive and strong correlation between the contextualized multiple intelligences and future job market prospects. However, the public universities students showed relatively larger correlation (r=.631, p=.000) as compared to private universities students (r=.556, p=.000). Furthermore, male and female students have differences in their contextualized multiple intelligences. Besides, students exhibited high level of understanding regarding the need of market driven content and importance of employability skills. Experts (Qualitative data analysis) highlighted the need for active role of universities in re-skilling students with contextualized multiple intelligences to make them more desirable for employability.

The study intends to develop and validate a scale to gauge the perception of patients towards branded and generic medicines in an emerging economy like India. Items were generated through literature review and exploratory semi-structured interview with patients and physicians. In the way of establishing generic medicines in the market, patients’ acceptability is very much essential. However, with the advent of information age, the patients are now becoming more conscious and aware regarding the generic medicines, and there is an improvement in the acceptability of generic medicines. Hence, the measurement of their perception towards generic medicines becomes an important issue for various stakeholders of the medical world—physicians, government, pharmaceutical companies and chemists. However, no studies regarding the measurement of perception towards the branded and generic have been conducted to develop and validate measurement scale. The present study is an attempt towards fulfilling this gap. A total of 361 valid responses were obtained using purposive sampling. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was carried out through principal component analysis (PCA) followed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to establish the validity of the proposed measurement model. The five factors extracted from EFA were named as quality (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.887), trust (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.919), sustained effectiveness (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.832), reputation (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.881) and psychological benefits (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.737). The obtained factors were found reliable and valid for measuring perception of the patients towards generic and branded medicines in emerging market settings. Convergent and discriminant validity of the scale was also established.

The industrial revolution and the free market policy agreement among the countries in the world brings severe impacts in many sectors, especially economics. As one of the supporting economics systems, the banking sector also faces the most significant challenge ever. The banks should provide their best services to the customers; otherwise, they will quickly leave them. This study determines how the front-liners’ (Customer Services and Tellers) can speak English to support their workplace activities. There are ten customer services and eight tellers from four banks as the respondents. The method used is quantitative, with a structured interview as the instrument to collect data. The researcher then measured the result of the talks by using a scoring rubric. The study's development reveals that those front-liners have different English proficiency levels, ranging from high to low. The banks where they work and the universities where they learned are responsible for overcoming this. It could be by restricting the new employee's entrance exam, providing training programs for the employees, and updating the universities' curriculum with the latest material to prepare their students to face the job market, which is very demanding today.

Abstract Background Preschool sex education can prevent sexual abuse and promote the sexual health and well-being in children. Mothers have vital role in this regard. This study was conducted to develop and psychometrically evaluate an instrument for assessing mothers’ sexual education ability. Methods The study included two phases: qualitative ad quantitative. In qualitative phase, a sample of mothers who had a child aged 3-5 years old in nursery schools was interviewed in order to generate an item pool. Then preliminary questionnaire was provided. Consequently, content and face validity were assessed. Finally, a qualitative study was conducted and sample of women completed the questionnaire to explore the factor structure of the instrument. Reliability (internal consistency and stability), was also evaluated using the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and intraclass correlation coefficient. Results A 51-items questionnaire was developed during the qualitative phase. After content and face validity, the items were decreased to 48. Then 250 women completed the questionnaire. The results obtained from explanatory factor analysis indicated a five-factor solution (attitudes, skills, cognitive issues, situational consideration) that jointly accounted for 87.5% variance observed. The Cronbach's alpha for 5 factors ranged from 0.68 to 0.96 and the stability of the questionnaire varied from 0.80 to 0.82. During the quantitative phase overall 9 items were removed and the final instruments consisted of 46 items. Conclusion The findings suggest that the Mothers' Sex Education Ability Questionnaire (SEDA is a valid and reliable questionnaire. It is simple and easily scored and compromises significant concept for assessing mother’s sexual education ability.

Introduction: The TCCNI has not been used to conduct a study in Indonesia previously. The researcher has thus conducted a study on technological competency as a caring in nursing instrument Indonesian version (TCCNI_IV). This study aims to examine the content validity and reliability of the TCCNI_IV. Methods: An exploratory sequential mixed method research design was used in this study. The researcher used closed-ended question asked of five (5) experts on the content of TCCNI-IV. The researcher explored the expert’s opinion about each statement of TCCNI_IV, and they required suggestions for the statements that were not relevant. Furthermore, the researcher analyzed and rewrote the statements according to the expert’s input. There are twenty-five (25) items in the TCCNI_IV involving technological knowledge and technological caring as an expression of caring in the nursing dimension. Furthermore, the researcher used the TCCNI_IV to gain quantitative data from the 135 nurses in the nursing wards of the hospitals. Based on a finite population of 208 nurses, a total of 135 samples (nurses) participated in the quantitative study. The selection of the participants was through simple random sampling. There were 135 nurses from the nursing wards in the hospitals (n=135) with experience of at least 1 year in nursing practice. The item content validity (I-CVI) and scale content validity (S-CVI) was tested. The reliability was determined using Cronbach’s alpha α.Results: The “item content validity of the TCCNI_IV ratings ranged from .60 to 1.0. The scale content validity index (S-CVI) was 0.936. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of .980 indicates there to be good reliability. Conclusion: The technological competency as a caring in nursing instrument Indonesian version (TCCNI_IV) is thus found to be valid and reliable. It is recommended that the developed instrument needs to be further tested for its reliability and validity in a larger setting.

In this study, it is aimed to develop a measuring device, which evaluates and determines the areas of Multiple Intelligences. With this aim, after the literature search is done expert opinipons have been taken and the scale has been put into the final form . The content validity of the form which is created with the help of expert opinions is done so the content validity of the items and areas are determined. The items, which have lower than 80 percent validity rate are eliminated from the study.

The population of the study includes primary, secondary, and high school principals, head assistans principles and assitant principals who serve in the schools within Nevşehir Provincial Directorate for National educaiton during 2012-2013 academic year. Since the population is included as a whole extra sample is not taken.

The trial form with 80 items which aims to determine the areas of Multiple Intelligences is applied to themanagers (principals, head assistant principals and assistant principals) and the obtained data has been analyzed.

When we checked all tables and items in the Multiple Intelligences Areas Evaluation Scale in an holistic view, we can definetely reach the conclusion that it is highly reliable with its Cronbach’s Alpha valuation which has found 0,965 for each item. As a result of the evalutions, it is observed that the all items showed positive effect. Just the first item from the Naturalistic Intelligence area which is ‘Since I’m so curious about animals, I observe their behaviour closely and collect some data about their lives’ has shown a little bit negative effect but since it has shown positive effect on the analysis for the whole scale, it has not been eliminated. If we have a look at the results from Tukey’s addivity test, since the significancy level of the scale is p< 0,05 it can be said that the evaluation scale has additivity feature within. Moreover, the test results which is done for the items of ‘Multiple Intelligences Areas Evaluation Scale, Hotelling’s T-Square value (5793,435) is also found high.

It is understood that the developed measuring device to evaluate and determine ‘the multiple intelligences areas’ is useable and applicable.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, “Çoklu Zekâ Alanlarını Değerlendirmeye/Belirlemeye Yönelik Bir Ölçek Geliştirmek”tir.
