We use cosmetics for keeping and improving natural beauty. The most common problem today is premature ageing of skin. Ayurvedic cosmetics include healthy lifestyle and use of medicinal herbs. Mandukparni is one of those herbal drugs, which is frequently used in Antiaging creams. Hence, we had made attempt to explore antiaging effect of Mandukparni on skin. A female patient of 39 years old at OPD of SRC Ayurveda college, Chikhli was selected for study. She had given Mandukparni churna in the form of lepa and also internally for 30 days. After treatment Mandukparni showed improvement in Wrinkles, Blemishes, Hyperpigmentation, Blackheads, Oiliness. Hence it can be concluded that  Mandukparni is an Ayurvedic cosmetic drug showing surprising effect on skin.

This case study analyzes the potential impacts of weakening the National Park Service’s (NPS) “9B Regulations” enacted in 1978, which established a federal regulatory framework governing hydrocarbon rights and extraction to protect natural resources within the parks. We focus on potential risks to national parklands resulting from Executive Orders 13771—Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs [1]—and 13783—Promoting Energy Independence and Economic Growth [2]—and subsequent recent revisions and further deregulation. To establish context, we briefly overview the history of the United States NPS and other relevant federal agencies’ roles and responsibilities in protecting federal lands that have been set aside due to their value as areas of natural beauty or historical or cultural significance [3]. We present a case study of Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) situated within the Bakken Shale Formation—a lucrative region of oil and gas deposits—to examine potential impacts if areas of TRNP, particularly areas designated as “wilderness,” are opened to resource extraction, or if the development in other areas of the Bakken near or adjacent to the park’s boundaries expands [4]. We have chosen TRNP because of its biodiversity and rich environmental resources and location in the hydrocarbon-rich Bakken Shale. We discuss where federal agencies’ responsibility for the protection of these lands for future generations and their responsibility for oversight of mineral and petroleum resources development by private contractors have the potential for conflict.

Objectives. Psoriasis makes a relative contraindication for lithium treatment which can exacerbate its symptoms or induce it itself. On the other hand, lithium exerts immuno-modulatory activity. Case study. In this paper, a case of a female patient is presented. The patient has been treated since 2012 for bipolar affective illness (bipolar disorder – BD) and psori­asis, which occurred for the first time during a depress­ive episode. Despite intensive pharmacological treatment, both as inpatient and outpatient, a satisfactory improvement of affective illness has not been obtained. After the introduction of lithium, a remission of BD was achieved as well as a reduction of psoriatic changes, which have been maintained until now (2021). Conclusion. The remission of Bipolar Disorder (BD) on lithium can suggest that the patient belongs to the group of the so-called excellent lithium responders. In the presen­ted case remission of psoriasis was observed during lithium treatment. This case report must be treated with caution because remission could be spontaneous and the patient needs further observation.

The menopausal stage is the condition where a female wants to be at ease but if other ailments occur where she has to face continuous pain and agony make is more uncomfortable along with the psychological disturbances. The present case is a female patient who came with the symptoms of Aamavata (R.A.) in her menopausal age and was diagnosed with the same (Aamvata). She received Dietary guidelines along with lifestyle modification (Pathya Palan), Panchakarma therapy i.e. Vaitran Basti (medicated enema) for 7 days, Ruksha Swedana (dry sudation), Aamvatari Rasa, Trivrata Avleha, Ajmodadi churna, Giloy Satva for 1 month, later only Ajmodadi Churna and dietary guidelines for 2 months. Fitness as a healthy lifestyle implementation helps to improve the social, mental and physical well-being components. Several scientists have indicated that there is a connection between social belonging and physical activity (PA) as the structural component of a healthy lifestyle (Walseth, 2006; Walseth & Fasting, 2004; Antonsich, 2010; Yuval-Davis, 2006; Anthias, 2006; Pinquart & Sorensen, 2001; Everard et. al., 2000). That is why the goal of the research is to develop and apply a social belonging promotion programme for women in fitness programme and to determine the changes in the lifestyle structural component health promoting PA. 10 women involved in fitness classes in small groups (2-4 people) participated in the case study, where in addition to PA social belonging promotion events were organized for all women together. In order to evaluate the structural components of social belonging and PA level and type, questionnaires adapted in Latvia and a semi-structured interview was used. Applying the social belonging promotion programme for women in fitness creates statistically significant changes in such structural components as sense of commitment (p<0.01), perception of interpersonal relations (p<0.01). By additionally promoting social belonging in fitness, women perceive the group better, are willing to spend more time with it; that, in turn, positively affects the willingness to be physically and socially active on a daily basis.

EU agricultural and agrienvironmental policies design is to improve the provision of environmental public goods and positive externalities (or to reduce negative externalities). In turn, the comprehensive identification and analysis of agricultural external economies involve a need for developing a dedicated valuation methodology. The aim of the article is to review methods of valuation of farm agritourism and an attempt to evaluate the farm’s agrotourism value (based on a case study). Considerations were based on a study of scientific literature and own research. The study focuses on presenting valuation methods for external economies, and proposes a methodology for the valuation of some illustrative positive externalities of agricultural production and of natural environmental resources regarded as public goods. The novelty of the analysis concerns its approach - a transition from theoretical considerations to the operationalization of the problem – the article presents a sample of valuation of the agri-tourism value of a farm, defined as the value of a specific location resulting from the natural beauty of the landscape and leisure services produced by environmental assets. Research (surveys among tourists) was carried out in the selected farm located, in a small village by the Baltic Sea, on the outskirts of a National Park. Analysis of the results indicate that landscape features associated with agricultural activities positively influence the demand for rural tourism. The value estimated by the Travel Cost Method (TCM) amounted to PLN 3,767,325 (approx. EUR 876 thousand). The amount shows the importance of externalities generated by the farm.

This article presents the case of a female patient suffering from cervical myelopathy due to ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) which was undiagnosed for a number of years. Besides presenting the clinical case, we describe the pathophysiology, symptoms, diagnostic methods and treatment options related to this condition, which is unusual in the European population.

The Individual

The consumption of natural, green, organic products represents an increasingly important subject for contemporary society, organizations, consumers and researchers. Demographic and cultural factors, traditions and consumption habits, along with the individual desire to adopt a healthy lifestyle in accordance with principles of sustainability and environmental protection are relevant vectors in the search, choice and consumption of green products. Producers and retailers have identified the interest of modern consumers, introducing a varied range of green grocery and non-food products to match expectations and needs. Using the case study method, this paper highlights the transition of the organic market in an emerging European country: Romania. During the era of state economy, organic and natural products were interchangeable, but after liberalization of the market, the rise of the organic sector began with the establishment of inspection and certification bodies, establishment of procedures, and the appearance of specialized agricultural farms, processors and sellers. Consumers understood soon enough the advantages and benefits of organic products and a healthy lifestyle, and the market for organic products has been developing steadily. We show the current state of development and discuss its evolution, outlining the different market statistics, and making recommendations regarding future development possibilities.
