The article provides a brief overview of industrial technologies and scientific research of the silicon carbide production process. Research on the production of finely dispersed, porous and nano-sized silicon carbide is carried out in leading scientific institutions of the world. The main scientific tasks currently facing researchers are to reduce energy consumption, increase the environmental safety of industrial technologies, improve purity of the finished product. One of the promising methods for producing silicon carbide is the carbothermal reduction of silica encapsulated with pyrocarbon in reactors with an electrothermal fluidized bed.

How to evaluate building sustainable performance is a hot issue in the world, the paper combine the “natural energy”, “energy recycling” and “ energy consumption” with 12 indicators into a evaluation system, and then use the set pair analysis(SPA) methods to evaluate the building sustainable performance. Through the empirical analysis with 3 cases, the results show that increase the natural energy utilization and enhance the energy recycling can reduce energy consumption and improve the building sustainable performance. In addition, the SPA also can quantitative the evaluation results.

The vast increase of energy consumption, global warming and the harm they cause to the environment, emerge to be a major obstruction that distresses the world today. The current work views one of the methods that the world focused on as means of reducing the environmental harms and that is, through green building, or in more common words sustainable buildings. Those means, covers the exercising of a wide range of applications including merging of new and specific technologies in which through fulfilling its basis, the process of evaluation of the building takes place in terms of its harmony with the environment, reduction of energy consumption, and the reduction of the environmental problems caused by the building life cycle starting from defining of location, design of the building, operation, maintenance, repairing and up to the renewal of the building.  Despite the significance of green building, no profit nor implementations has yet been made in Libya. The latter is due to the lack of awareness by many Libyan social groups. From here, the idea behind this paper crystalized. It aims to spread and enhance the knowledge and techniques of green building. It also penetrates into the green building features and advantages that are considered to be a preliminary step to start its application in a wide range coinciding with the grand progress that the country has witnessed in the field of construction and housing. This paper concludes that it is possible to reduce energy consumption and the harm it causes to the environment after the implementation and merging of green building techniques and should be applied on a large scale covering the whole country.

The relations between production process and energy consumption are made an in-depth application analysis and theory study with theory of systematic energy-saving , technique of intelligence analysis and optimization based on the background of study on energy-saving and reduce energy consumption. Making intensive research on theories of systematic energy-saving and analyzed with function mechanism and quantitative relation of the main production system, auxiliary production system and energy conversion system. It put forward the energy flow direction and energy consumption in each production process and the influence of material flow on energy consumption in iron and steel industry. The sequence of all kinds of material influence comprehensive energy consumption per ton steel and energy quantitative target of all factors influence energy consumption are worked out with improved fuzzy AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) which study of comprehensive energy consumption in typical iron and steel production process from the point of system. It has great immediate significance to guide drawing the scientific plan of economy-saving and reduce energy consumption in iron and steel industry

The revitalization of historical buildings is a subject that is increasingly being discussed around the world. This is connected with the goal set by the European and thus Polish and local policy to reduce energy consumption in existing buildings. The publication presents an unconventional solution for thermal modernization of buildings with the utilization of green walls. The article presents the literature and legal acts review on green walls, their construction and impact on existing buildings. It describes the benefits and disadvantages resulting from the use of vegetation on the external walls. Additionally the possibility of using green walls at the historic facility located in Wroclaw (Poland) is presented.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Foreign Direct Investment, Gross Domestic Product, Energy Consumption, Electric Consumption, and Meat Consumption on CO2 emissions of 41 countries in the world using panel data from 1999 to 2013. After analyzing 41 countries in the world data, furthermore 17 countries in Asia was analyzed with the same period. This study utilized quantitative approach with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression method. The results of 41 countries in the world data indicates that Foreign Direct Investment, Gross Domestic Product, Energy Consumption, and Meat Consumption significantlyaffect Environmental Qualities which measured by CO2 emissions. Whilst the results of 17 countries in Asia data implies that Foreign Direct Investment, Energy Consumption, and Electric Consumption significantlyaffect Environmental Qualities. However, Gross Domestic Product and Meat Consumption does not affect Environmental Qualities.

AbstractThe paper analyses the role of control and monitoring of electro-energetic equipment in order to reduce operational costs, increase profits and reduce carbon emissions. The role of SCADA and EcoStruxure Power systems is presented and analysed taking into account the energy consumption and its savings. The paper presents practical and modern solutions to reduce energy consumption by up to 53%, mass by up to 47% and increase the life of the equipment by adjusting the electrical parameters. The Integrated Navigation System has allowed an automatic control and an efficient management. For ships, the implementation of an energy efficiency design index and new technologies was required for the GREEN SHIP project.
