This study investigated the impact of core drivers of job satisfaction including promotions, increment and bonuses, supervisor’s’ support, career development and advancement opportunities and working conditions on two dependent variables i.e. job performance and employees retention. For this purpose a comparative study is conducted in education and banking sector of Karachi. A sample of 100 employees was collected from each sector then results were analyzed through Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The results found both the education and banking sectors are different in terms of chosen human resource policies Secondly, it has been found that results are dissimilar for both sectors in terms of different hypotheses. Career development, compensation and promotions are insignificant key divers of job satisfaction for job performance. While, working conditions, compensations and co-workers are insignificant key divers of job satisfaction for employees’ retention. Result’s implication is different for banks’ managers and educational institutions’ managers based on significance of coefficients however human resource policies vary in different business settings. Indeed, more the job satisfaction better chance of good employees’ performance while it reduces the intention to switch and keep the human talent retained.

<p>The Background of this research was the trend of companies’ outsourcing human resource (expertise and specialists) to accomplish tasks more cheaply and efficiently to increase productivity. The objective of this research was to find out the impact of employees’ perception of outsourcing human resource on their job satisfaction and turnover intention. To achieve this objective the quantitative research has been done by using explanatory survey method. The design of this research applies quantitative approach. The samples for the study consisted of 115 human resource division employees of three Banks in Jakarta. The primary data in this research was obtained by using closed ended questionnaires. Non probability sampling method with the convenience sampling technique was employed to select the sample. Data analysis used in this research was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of this research concludes that employees’ positive perception of outsourcing human resource increases their job satisfaction and decreases their turnover intention whereas negative perception of outsourcing human resource decreases job satisfaction and subsequently increases turnover intention. Based on the result of the research, it is important that a company outsource human resource to increase productivity.</p>

This research proposed and investigated a mediated moderation research framework that links employee job satisfaction, knowledge sharing, innovation capability, and job performance for sustainable human resource management in hospitality. Data from 395 Taiwanese hospitality companies with structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses, and the results showed that job satisfaction had significantly positive influences on knowledge sharing, both job satisfaction and knowledge sharing were significantly and positively related to innovation capability, while innovation capability had significantly positive influences on job performance. Support was also found for the significant and positive mediating effects of knowledge sharing between job satisfaction and innovation capability, and different organizational forms have moderating effects on the relationship between job satisfaction, knowledge sharing and innovation capability. The implications of these findings for sustainable human resource management in hospitality are also discussed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to determine the moderating role of green lifestyle to the impact of green human resource management (GHRM) on employee’s job performance from various industries and a possible spillover of GHRM to employee’s lifestyle. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modeling and exploratory factor analysis were utilized in order to determine the relationship of the variables. A survey questionnaire was distributed to 332 respondents from various private industries who were randomly selected for this study. Findings This study shows that the implementation of GHRM has an effect on an employee’s lifestyle and also on their job performance. It suggests that organizations can contribute to the environment and also maintain employees’ good performance. Research limitations/implications Considering the locus of the study, it was restricted to industries from the National Capital Region in the Philippines. The study was also limited to industries who are ISO14001 certified, aiming for that certification, or implementing green practices. The survey was also not disseminated according to age groups and gender. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to explore further the effects of these variables to other factors. Practical implications This study may encourage human resource practitioners to implement GHRM practices in the workplace to motivate employees to participate in greening the world. Originality/value This study brings great importance to the implementation of GHRM as it is needed by the current status of the world.

The study aims to demonstrate the influence of work stress on job satisfaction of employees at Can Tho Radio and Television (TV) Station. Research data were collected from 140 employees working at the Radio and TV Station of Can Tho City. Applying the structural equation modeling, the research has pointed out factors forming work stress. They include work overload, pressure from the manager, income pressure, workplace relationships, and working conditions. When work stress forms, it negatively impacts the job satisfaction of the staff at Can Tho Radio and TV Station. Keywords: work stress, satisfaction, employee, Can Tho Radio and Television Station.

The study purpose is to analyse the impact of training, competence, motivation and leadership towards performance either directly or through job satisfaction as a mediator variable. As many as 55 staff are considered as respondents in this research, and census method is used as the sampling method. Primary data in this study were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Likert Scale. Secondary data are obtained from the organization structure Sukamandi Apparatus Training Centre (BDA), performance appraisal, staff attendance, information system and personnel management. Structural Equation Modeling Analisis of Moment Structures (SEM-AMOS) is used to process and analyze data. This study shows staff with high education, competence and leadership have a significant effect on performance, While the job satisfaction is significant in mediating the influence of training, competence and leadership on performance. Next on the employee with low education, training, competence, motivation and leadership have a significant influence on performance, while job satisfaction is significant in mediating the effect of competence and leadership on staff performance.   Keywords:  training, competence, motivation, leadership, job satisfaction, performance

Guided by affective events theory (AET), our inquiry aims at examining the relationships among affective work events, affective states, affect-driven behaviors, and attitudes of international faculty working in the Malaysian institutions of higher learning. Specifically, the impacts of interpersonal conflict, as a work event, on international faculty’s affective states were in focus. In addition, the mediating role of job performance, as an affect-driven behavior, on the relationship between affective states and job satisfaction, as an attitude, was examined. Data were collected from 152 respondents and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to estimate the proposed theoretical model. Our model was examined from an explanatory-predictive perspective and exhibited a high level of out-of-sample predictive power. In addition, the results of the analysis highlighted the role of interpersonal conflict in causing affective states and affective states in causing job satisfaction. However, empirical evidence was not provided for the mediating role of job performance within the proposed model. Finally, given the fluctuating nature of the affective states, a robustness check verified the nonlinear relationship between positive affect and job performance. Implications of the findings, limitations, and recommendations were elaborated.

Prior literature has largely addressed corporate social responsibility (CSR) from outcomes related to organizational themes. However, its importance for achieving consumer-related outcomes is something that has been largely ignored by contemporary researchers. Likewise, how CSR communication through social media can create positive emotions on the part of consumers has to date been under-explored. Hence, the present study aims to fill these gaps by investigating the impact of CSR communication of an organization through social media on consumer loyalty. The study also proposes electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) as a potential mediator between this relationship. The proposed model of the present study was tested in the banking sector of a developing country. The data were collected from a self-administered questionnaire and analyzed through the structural equation modeling technique (SEM). The results of the present study validated that CSR communication of a bank through social media directly and indirectly, through e-WOM, influences consumer loyalty in a positive manner. The results of the present study will be helpful for policymakers to better understand how well-planned CSR communication of an organization on social media can lead towards better consumer-related outcomes such as consumer loyalty and e-WOM.

This study aims to analyze and prove the Influence Career Development, Work Environment, Compensation and it’s implication on job satisfaction of permanent lecturer of maritime colleges in DKI Jakarta both partially and simultaneously. The research method used is descriptive survey method and explanatory survey with 253 respondents. The analysis of the data used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), consisting of career development, work environment and compensation as exogenous variables, job satisfaction as an endogenous variable. Based on the partially and simultaneous research that Career development, work environment and compensation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction with a contribution (R2) of 92 %. Work environment has the most dominantt effect on the job satisfaction of lecturers at maritime colleges in DKI Jakarta.

This study tested the impact of physical education (PE) teachers&rsquo; social capital on job satisfaction and explained levels of social capital for job satisfaction. Study participants were 210 PE teachers. The research methodology used the correlational survey model, and the instruments administered were the Social Capital Scale,and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale. For conducting scales&rsquo; confirmatory factor analyses and structural equation modeling, SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 17.0 software were used. The model&rsquo;s goodness fit index was: RMSEA = 0.081; SRMR = 0.082; CMIN\DF = 2.523; GFI = 0.922; CFI = 0.923; AGFI = 0.843; NFI = 0.913; Chi squared = 2832.001; df = 976 and p = 0.000. According to these results, the model fit index reached an acceptable and desired level. The effect of social capital on job satisfaction and the rate of explaining job satisfaction were tested. In relation to the study&rsquo;s first hypothesis, it was revealed that PE teachers&rsquo; social capital level and job satisfaction were positively and significantly affected. In regard to the second hypothesis, there was a significant relationship between social capital levels and PE teachers&rsquo; job satisfaction. The study&rsquo;s most significant finding was that social capital significantly predicted PE teachers&rsquo; job satisfaction.

Each one in eleven jobs in the world are from tourism sector where a well trained, educated and skilled work force is mandetory. Despite the growth in provision of tourism higher education during past 40 years, uncertainties remain about the content and nature of tourism degrees and how these are aligned with tourism industry needs. Substantial evidence is available on designing tourism higher education curriculum but the extent to which tourism higher education meets the industry needs and the job performance of the graduates has not yet been closely investigated. This study aims to identify the impact of tourism education on the job performance of the tourism graduates. Self-administered questionnaire fielded across the Island secured 260 public sector university tourism graduates response. Data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling in Smart-PLS-3. The study found learning outcomes have a moderate positive relationship on job performance. Tourism graduates showed optimistic perception about tourism education in meeting industry requirements. As recommendations tourism curriculum must be well planned and enriched with supplementary practical exposure. Faculty members must provide a great support for the undergraduates in accomplishing their carrier objectives and the learning outcomes. Conducive learning environment should be facilitated to reach learning outcomes smoothly.
