Liver fibrosis is a reversible disease course caused by various liver injury etiologies, and it can lead to severe complications, such as liver cirrhosis, liver failure, and even liver cancer. Traditional pharmacotherapy has several limitations, such as inadequate therapeutic effect and side effects. Nanotechnology in drug delivery for liver fibrosis has exhibited great potential. Nanomedicine improves the internalization and penetration, which facilitates targeted drug delivery, combination therapy, and theranostics. Here, we focus on new targets and new mechanisms in liver fibrosis, as well as recent designs and development work of nanotechnology in delivery systems for liver fibrosis treatment.

AbstractThe present document discusses the development of a new trowelable Thermal Protection System (TPS), able of being mixed, applied and cured directly onto the vehicle structure, with the aim to fulfill the requirements of the thermal properties for the re-usable launch vehicle studied in the Retro Propulsion Landing Technology (RETALT) project. During the development of this TPS, several formula optimizations were made to improve or eliminate cracks in the char surface, increase char stiffness, rheological adjustments, and adhesion improvement to different substrates. The most promising material developed is composed by cork and epoxy resin, together with a set of rheological and thermal resistance additives, that makes it possible to be applied with a spatula, while at the same time it is able to withstand the demanding environmental conditions during atmospheric reentry. In terms of thermal properties, the developed material has a higher thermal conductivity than the current P50 TPS commercialized by Amorim Cork Composites (ACC), but it has a better behavior when exposed to flame conditions. It is expected that the absence of cracks improves its structure and resistance to demanding conditions. The development work included a detailed study of the composition and processes required for the development of a TPS material, which were evaluated by several types of flame characterization tests and thermal properties analysis.

Building structural systems with light gauge steel framing technology are steadily gaining popularity due to their huge advantages over traditional technical solutions. As a result of the competitiveness inherent in LGSF technology, its application is gradually increasing in the manufacture of both bearing and nonbearing structures. At the same time, the actual absence of national standards for seismic design requires the development of programs and the implementation of research and development work to study the behavior of LGSF buildings in the conditions of seismic impact. The article touches upon the main problems of antiseismic construction of LGSF buildings and presents the results of domestic and foreign research.

This study found that amid numerous issues within the service of e-ID, the Department of Population and Civil Registration Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara tried to create a spread of methods to extend His ministry. The strategy is to develop a structure through best management of the division of labor, collaboration with districts and extra manpower. Development of procedures through the simplification requirements, proactive service and distribution of e-ID cards are printed. Infrastructure development is completed with the addition of printing instrumentality and repair facilities in the District of different services. On the cultural development work, has been finished coaching and extra hours of service. Keyword: Strategy, Public Services, e-ID card

Purpose Using an institutionalist lens, this study aims to identify factors that influence the knowledge sharing behaviour of volunteers engaged in collaborative, cross-cultural and project-focussed development work. Design/methodology/approach Following an inductive research design, the authors conducted a thematic analysis of interviews with volunteers to explore the practicalities of knowledge sharing in the context of development aid projects and to examine contributing factors, such as personality, motivations, experience and variations in team members’ understanding of the nature and objective of projects. Findings Through exploring the experiences of volunteers working on cross-cultural development aid programmes, the authors identify and discuss the ways in which the preparation of volunteers and the structuring of project work is shaped by managerialist modes of thinking, with an emphasis on the creation of an environment that is conducive to sustainable knowledge sharing practices for all stakeholders involved. Originality/value The examination of volunteer development work tendency towards institutional isomorphism is a novel contribution intersecting the areas of knowledge sharing in the project, volunteer-led and culturally diverse environments.

Faith-based organisations (FBOs) constitute a significant part of the development industry, yet our knowledge of FBOs and the ways in which they operate, often within secular societies, is limited. This research focuses on one particular aspect of FBOs in New Zealand: that is how FBOs perceive their faith impacts on their donor relationships. The research is undertaken within the context of the call for more empirical studies on FBOs in order to understand what types of FBOs exist, what contexts they appear in, and how they approach development. To this end, I conducted 17 semi-structured interviews with FBOs based in New Zealand over September-October 2010 and critically analysed these interviews for what they revealed about FBOs-donor relationships. The findings of this research are that FBOs are compelled to undertake development work as a religious and moral duty, and that their faith identity sometimes translates into a unique form of development assistance. FBOs have advantages over secular organisations in their ability to mobilise resources from within their faith networks, particularly the ability to secure low cost labour. These networks can be viewed as part of a spiritual economy for FBOs. Some FBOs position their organisations to receive funding from both their spiritual economies and mainstream secular sources. These organisations have established separate development arms within their organisation devoid of any religious reference or content, yet retain a religious arm to promote their faith. Other organisations successfully secure secular donor funding by clearly demonstrating how their faith is incorporated within their development work. The majority of FBOs operate outside the mainstream development industry in New Zealand and are either self-funding or funded through their spiritual economies. My major finding is that FBOs’ donors are not homogeneous groups; they hold a divergence of expectations which change the way FBOs position their development work in relation to their faith.

Objective. The purpose of the analytical review is to identify promising areas of research to improve the efficiency of water propellers.Method. The research provides an overview and analysis of modern propellers.Result. The analysis of the design – layout and schematics solutions of propeller is carried out, methods of increasing the efficiency of propellers are revealed, the main directions of further research are formed. Prospects for the development of propellers are considered, structural and layout and circuit solutions are described that ensure an increase in the efficiency of the working process, which allows to form the main directions of further scientific research. Created promising circuit solutions are closely related to the use of modern numerical methods at all stages of design, new approaches to the creation of propellers will provide an increase in efficiency by 8-10%.Conclusion. Increasing the efficiency of propellers, due to modeling workflows using numerical methods of hydrodynamics, and developing advanced schematics solutions, will not only increase the efficiency, but also improve the cavitation and acoustic characteristics of the propellers. The use of CFD calculations allows you to reduce the time, costs and volumes of product development work.

The discipline “Russian language” at an advanced stage is characterized by its complexity: 1) the task of training includes the formation of skills in the use and recognition of linguistic signs at all levels; 2) there is no division into aspect classes (phonetic, grammatical, lexical, stylistic). Skills development work, such as phonetic and grammatical skills, can and often does occur in the same class. In the article, the author examines several ways and methods of conducting practical exercises at an advanced stage and describes the three main forms of teaching the Russian language. The author speaks in detail about the purpose and typology of classroom lessons, shows the difference between speech and complex lessons. The article describes in detail the structure of classroom activities and offers various types of time distribution.
