This study aims to investigate the impact of education and training, work discipline and organizational culture on employee’s performance. The study is conducted at the Disaster Management and Fire Department Office in Palembang City, Indonesia. There are seven offices of disaster management and fire department officials in all over Palembang city and the total population is 360 firefighters. The sample size is 154 respondents that are taken proportionately from each office. A survey research using questionnaire is employed to collect the data. The variables are education and training (X1), work discipline (X2), organizational culture (X3) and employees’ performance (Y). Technology and labor force changes, service and performance improvement and rules’ adjustment are indicators for education and training. Remuneration, supervision, and firmness are indicators for work discipline. Innovation, people oriented and composure are indicators for organizational culture. Working standard, work equipment and tool and work opportunity are indicators for employees’ performance. A regression equation model is employed. The result reveals that there is a positive and significant effect of education and training, work discipline and organizational culture on employee’s performance.

Abstract- The research objectives were to determine: 1) The description of performance, organizational culture, education and training, competence and work motivation of Indonesian National Police members at the Traffic Directorate of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police; 2) The influence of organizational culture, education and training, competence and work motivation on the performance of Police members at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Traffic Directorate. The study was conducted on all members of the East Nusa Tenggara Police Traffic Directorate with 145 respondents. The data collected were analyzed descriptively based on the results of processed data using the method of Structural Equation Model. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the achievement of the indicators for each variable is as follows: Performance = 67.68 (Good Enough), Organizational Culture = 68.84 (Good), Competence = 67.93 (Good Enough), Education and Training = 67.45 (Good Enough), and Work Motivation = 68.55 (Good). Furthermore, the results of SEM analysis showed that Organizational Culture, Education and Training, Competence and Work Motivation had a positive and significant effect on the Performance of the investigated Police Members. This research is still limited to the 4 variables used so that testing is needed on other variables such as; leadership style, compensation, work atmosphere, work facilities and others with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research aims to discuss about the influences of tour guides education and training towards competencies and the impact direct and indirect to performance. It is used mix combination between qualitative and quantitative research with concurrent embedded models. This research used data primary and secondary data. Data collected by observation, interview and spreading questionare to 99 tour guides. Analysis data used path analysis with a single path. The result of this research is education and training has positive and significant influence towards competencies Balinese tour guides with coefficient values 0,802. Competency has positive and significant influence towards performance Balinese tour guides with coefficient value 0,563. Education and training has positive and significant influence toward performance directly with coefficient value 0,279. Education and training through competencies has positive and significant influence toward performance indirectly with sum total coefficient value 0,731. Suggestions for academic expected to research reenacting with same model to verifying result of the study. The suggestion for stakeholder related tour guides profession is to increasing education and training programme of tour guides for increasing competencies and performance of Balinese tour guides.

ObjectivesThe aim of this study was to establish the impact of dementia education and training on the knowledge, attitudes and confidence of health and social care staff. The study also aimed to identify the most effective features (content and pedagogical) of dementia education and training.DesignCross-sectional survey study. Data collection occurred in 2017.SettingsHealth and social care staff in the UK including acute care, mental health community care trusts, primary care and care homes.ParticipantsAll health and social care staff who had completed dementia education and training meeting the minimal standards as set by Health Education England, within the past 5 years were invited to participate in an online survey. A total of 668 health and social care staff provided informed consent and completed an online survey, and responses from 553 participants were included in this study. The majority of the respondents were of white British ethnicity (94.4%) and identified as women (88.4%).OutcomesKnowledge, attitude and confidence of health and social care staff.ResultsHierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted. Staff characteristics, education and training content variables and pedagogical factors were found to account for 29% of variance in staff confidence (F=4.13, p<0.001), 22% of variance in attitude (knowledge) (F=3.80, p<001), 18% of the variance in staff knowledge (F=2.77, p<0.01) and 14% of variance in staff comfort (attitude) (F=2.11, p<0.01).ConclusionThe results suggest that dementia education and training has limited impact on health and social care staff learning outcomes. While training content variables were important when attempting to improve staff knowledge, more consideration should be given to pedagogical factors when training is aiming to improve staff attitude and confidence.

Some scholars have been so blunt as to claim that information technology is the answer to all the problems facing supply chain managers. We posit that, although information technology integration is necessary for a supply chain to succeed, people are also crucial. We further propose that managers must take into consideration organizational culture and the education and training of employees to facilitate supply chain collaboration and success. We interviewed 51 senior-level supply chain managers across five channel positions. Findings support our position that management of people is crucial to supply chain integration, and that integration is improved through an accommodating organizational culture and training and educational programs. Also from our findings, we supply a prescription for building the supply chain cross-functional manager.

The essay explores Erasmus' development of a fourth category of rhetoric, the familiar, in its work as a rhetoric of the absent audience in both personal and sociopolitical contexts, and as a rhetoric resonant with early modern theories of friendship and temperance. The discussion is set against a background of Caxton's printing of the translation of Cicero's De Amicitia, because Erasmus casts friendship as the context for appropriate communication between people from quite different education and training, along with the probable rhetoric that enables appropriate persuasion. The probable rhetorical stance of temperate friendship proposes a foundation for a common weal1 based on a co-extensive sense of selfhood. This focus suggests that the familiar rhetoric set out in Erasmus' De Conscribendis epistolis draws on Cicero's rhetoric of sermo2 at the heart of friendship.3 It explores the effects of the rhetorical stance of probable rhetoric, both for personal and social writing, and for political action, and looks at the impact of sermo rhetoric on ideas of identity and civic politics in an age of burgeoning circulation of books (both script and print). The essay concludes with three post-Erasmian case studies in English rhetoric [Elyot, Wilson, Lever] that use probable rhetoric to document approaches to individual and civic agency and which offer insights into the Western neoliberal state rhetorical structures of today.

Necessity of improving employees’ performance in ministry of education in Iran was the reason of conducting this research. Authors are focused on the impact of High Performance Work System (HPWS) and the culture of organization on employees’ performance in Iran ministry of education. By conducting specified study based on distributed survey questionnaire to 162 members of ministry of education in Iran, this study aims to provide answer to the given research questions of study. The outcome of hypotheses testing illustrate HPWS significantly effects ministry members’ performance and shows strong relation between variables. Likewise, organizational culture demonstrates significant affirmative impact on Iran ministry of education members and employees’ performance. Findings of current research indicate that the ministry of education in Iran requires immediate action toward improving performance of members to obtain desired outcome. Accordingly, to the result of present study, current research attempts to provide practical concepts and illustrate limitations, suggestions for improvement of ministry and future study in this field.

Regulation of the Head of National Institute of Public Administration (Lembaga Administrasi Negara: LAN) Number 13 year 2013 as amended by Regulation of the Head of National Institute of Public Administration Number 20 year 2015 on the Guidelines for the Implementation of Education and Training Program on Grade-IV Leadership Management mandates to apply other learning methods in addition to classical method, as: adviser (Coaching and mentoring) and counseling. One of the problems in implementing this education and training program is applying coaching method. Ineffective Coaching method can cause participants to be less motivated and the training output is not optimal. There are many methods of coaching, but what methods are most effective and efficient to apply in this Grade-IV leadership management education and training program? Study on the impact of Coaching methods for effective learning on participants in Education and Training Program on Grade-IV Leadership Management batch II and III year 2018 at the Human Resource Development Center for Apparatus, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), was conducted by using a qualitative approach. The discussion in this study is focused on what the effect of several Coaching methods for participants of Education and Training Program on grade-IV Leadership Management. Results show that Coaching is done through stimulation, powerful questions, and creative dialogue so that participants get the best achievement as expected. ABSTRAKPeraturan Kepala Lembaga Administrasi Negara (LAN) Nomor 13 Tahun 2013 yang telah diubah dengan Peraturan Kepala LAN Nomor 20 Tahun 2015 tentang Pedoman Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan dan Pelatihan (diklat) Kepemimpinan Tingkat IV mengamanatkan pelaksanaan metode pembelajaran selain dari pengajaran mata diklat dalam kelas, berupa: pembimbingan (coaching dan mentoring) dan konseling. Salah satu permasalahan dalam penyelenggaraan Diklat Kepemimpinan Tingkat IV adalah sejauh mana penerapan metode Coaching itu sendiri. Metode Coaching yang kurang efektif dapat menyebabkan peserta didik menjadi kurang termotivasi sehingga output diklat tidak optimal. Ada banyak sekali metode coaching, namun metode seperti apakah yang paling efektif dan efisien untuk digunakan dalam Diklatpim Tingkat IV ini? Penelitian tentang pengaruh metode coaching terhadap Peserta Diklat Kepemimpinan Tingkat IV Angkatan II dan III di Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Aparatur, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (KESDM), dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif (campuran). Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengaruh penerapan beberapa metode coaching terhadap peserta Diklat Kepemimpinan Tingkat IV. Hasil pene- litian menunjukkan bahwa metode coaching yang dilakukan melalui stimulasi, pertanyaan powerful, dan dialog kreatif mengarahkan peserta didik memperoleh prestasi terbaik seperti yang diharapkan.

American officers considering the role of the sea Services in a future war must understand the history and organizational culture of the Chinese military and consider how these factors shape the Chinese approach to naval strategy and operations. The Sino-Japanese War of 1894–95 remains a cautionary tale full of salient lessons for future conflict. A review of recent Chinese publications highlights several consistent themes that underpin Chinese thinking about naval strategy. Chinese authors assess that the future requires that China inculcate an awareness of the maritime domain in its people, that it build institutions that can sustain seapower, and that, at the operational level, it actively seeks to contest and gain sea control far from shore. Careful consideration of the Sino-Japanese War can support two priority focus areas from the Commandant’s Planning Guidance: “warfighting” and “education and training.”
